What Nac said. From what I understand, a soldier may occasionally be required to do so with all of their gear. I can't remember whether or not they'll make you do it in pretty much whatever weather condition, but I kind of want to lean towards yes. That said, while walking and rucking may suck, hiking is pretty fun. You'll be sore like a mother fucker the next day if you're carrying a lot of junk on you for a long time over rough terrain, but IMO it's a good kind of pain, the kind that lets you know that you didn't let a bit of discomfort stop you from what you were doing.

Unlike a few of the others, who's peculiarity may have been less noticeable, this man seemed to stick out due to the strange markings that adorned his face, coupled with the medium cage that he gripped firmly in one hand as he sat down. "This is all your fault y'know, Coal. You just had to suggest hitching a ride on that weird ass boat. But oh no, we just *had* to get to borneo via boat because you hate planes!" he barked down to the cage. For a moment, the cage remained silent, however a quick swat from the top by the man elicited a loud, drawn out hiss from the occupant inside. The man narrowed his eyes "Oh don't you start with me. Don't act as though just because the spell that lets us talk to each other isn't active doesn't mean I don't know what you're tryin' to say. You shouldn't be hissing at me at all considering that A: This is your fault, and B: I convinced these douchenozzles that they'd get a better deal selling us together rather than separately." the man hissed venomously before huffing and leaning back against the cell, "Reeeaaally fuckin' bites....".

I gathered that Nac would be the one to christen this rp with it's first post, though if Stryder gives his blessing, you or I could be one of the first. I'm more than willing to do so provided i'm supplied with the necessary information, i.e. how long these people have been together/known eachother, and whether or not they've been recruited by someone (possibly a higher power or a government) or have banded together out of convenience/coincidence.

I may just be over thinking this, but I can't shake the feeling that I should better explain the "don't last long" portion of my previous post so as not to come off as offensive. I meant to say that to mean that people that choose to join the military for the wrong reasons tend to either drop out voluntarily or get booted out when they see what it's actually like being in the military. Again, it could just be me being paranoid, but I couldn't help it.

'friad not. My father was, but me? I've never considered joining any branch of the military. I've got loads of respect for those that DO enlist provided they aren't one of those nutters that just want to shoot things or have bragging rights (thankfully from what i've heard, they don't last long or never get in), but i'm leaning more towards joining the FBI or a police department as a crime scene investigator after college.

We could maybe take a page from another RP I was a part of pre-RPGuild shut down and try to make story arcs for each character, arcs which we could then have tie in and eventually lead up to the big finale, whatever that will be. Perhaps on top of not wanting to see everything go up in flames, each character could either undergo a transformation of sorts (be it for better or worse), or something specific that stands in their way of ending the turmoil, be it an enemy, and old deal that they forgot about/tried to get out of that has to be settled, or there's simply some dickish guy that doesn't want to see the group succeed and happens to have the resources to seriously ruin their day because "lolfuckyall".

Having arrived in residential just a scant few seconds before Stark, Dimitri's brow quirked slightly upon realizing that his first introduction to the other experiments would be something akin to an introduction into a school. The young man waited silently as two experiments, a success and a failure -and both 001 like himself to boot- gave their greetings before clearing his throat, "I am Anima Experiment success-001, also referred to as Subject Varanid...", Dimitri said as he raised his tail and slowly moved it from side to side, "...I have been infused with DNA belonging to that of the crocodile monitor, and despite my number, i've only been here a little over a month.".

Cue the giant lizard man being dragged off towards residential! Sorry for the wall of text. By the way black, if it isn't too much trouble, I had Dimitri be a rare case in that he actively signed up to join Fall without actually understanding what was going to happen to rather than being abducted. I figure it would make him easier to control if he was under the concept that he would be kicked out if he raised a ruckus. If you would rather he be an abductee like the others, i'll be more than wiling to change it accordingly
