As someone who works for a pet store I both love and hate pixar. The next person that tries to ask me if we have "a dory fish" for their goldfish bowl is getting straight up clubbed like a baby seal

"Uh huh..." Dimitri grunted as he took a sharp left to take him off of the boardwalk and towards the city streets where the corner market was located. His was still sore about the burger, but not nearly as much as he made it seem.

Dimitri's ears perked at the mention of Kassy potentially baking her signature cookies, though he refused to turn around lest his expression potentially betray how much he really liked the idea. From the very moment Dimitri introduced her to the world of ovens, he knew he'd unleashed something both terrible and wonderful. Despite being a living reactor Dimitri felt as though every time he took a bite of the salty sweet confections that he would have to work out at least twice as hard as he usually did the next day. The hero mulled this over for a few seconds, if he accepted that meant that he'd have to drop the grudge, not to mention he'd have to have some self control about how many he ate, and-"A dozen cookies when we get home and another when you get back from whatever you're doing tonight and we're square.". Shit. His stomach, having been deprived of lunch had seized control of his mouth before he could finish thinking.

Still, it wasn't a bad deal by Dimitri's standards. The prospect of more cookies when Kassy came back from whatever it was that she occasionally did at night would at least keep Dimitri from intentionally crippling someone for fear of Kassy finding out and denying him his baked goods. Dimitri found himself wondering not for the first time what Kassy did when she left out, and had even asked once only for the subject to be changed and ultimately dropped. In the end he decided it was best not to pry.
As BenoĆt and Chintia exited the conference room and left the building Dimitri slipped in through the entrance of the room, trailing a line of acrid smoke behind him as he did so. Seeing Fleur still inside, Dimitri removed his cigar from his mouth out of respect and gave a small nod towards the elder vampire, "Hello Madame Fleur. You're looking radiant as always.". Despite the compliment Jacque's tone remained formal and business like, his voice was was deep, a tad bit hollow, and yet strangely smooth despite how little emotion he'd begun to put into his words as of the last half century. Having given his greeting Dimitri returned to being silent, he'd give his superior an opportunity to speak before he got straight to the point of his visitation.
Jacque grinned widely at Raulf's acceptance of his presence, thus far the prefect below him wasn't exhibiting any of the usual traits that others of his ilk portrayed, such as a snobbish attitude or misplaced sense of entitlement. "I knew you'd be a cool guy! It's a pleasure to meet you Raulf, i'm Jacque. I'd try to shake your hand but i'm pretty sure i'd fall." Jacque stated as he hefted Coal up slightly. Coal shifted her weight a bit to avoid plummeting to the ground below before addressing Raulf's question, "I ssupposse I sshould ssay that I'm Jacque'ss familiar, however ssomedayss it feels more like i'm hiss keeper. My name is Coal, and as Jacque ssaid it'ss a pleassure to make your acquaintance".
"You serious Kas'? It took me nearly half an hour to get a seat!" Dimitri said as he turned to look at his partner, an action that he regretted almost instantly. Kassy had that look again, the one that silently spelled out her displeasure towards his antics. Dimitri may have had Kassy beat in all physical aspects, but he'd only managed to beat her in a verbal battle twice much to his displeasure. Not feeling up for another tongue lashing, Dimitri let out an exaggerated sigh and released the door, "Fine, i'm more in the mood for lamb chops anyway. Guess i'll pick up some from the store and throw 'em on the grill when we get back.". As if to let Kassy know he'd likely continue badgering her about this later, Dimitri gave another exaggerated sigh and started walking whilst the waiter inside mouth a silent "thank you" to Kassy.

Dimitri fully intended to give Kassy a hard time for making him forgo his burger, however as with anytime that occurred he'd end his fussing quickly and go back to acting as if it had never happened. Were it anyone else, Dimitri would hold onto his annoyance like a starving dog would a bone, but the fact that Kassy was one half of the two people that were capable of tolerating Pulse for more than five minutes went a long way. He'd even go so far as to call Kassy his closest friend albeit after some pestering, and even then the confession would be done begrudgingly.
It's good to know the boundaries between species, thanks for the info. I referred to silver as a weakness for vampires yes, but only in it's blessed state as that would technically turn it into a holy weapon, however as you've said that holy weapons do not affect vampires, that too is no longer an issue. I too found the OCD thing laughable, however that's the main reason I posted it in the first place. I figured however that blood deprivation would at least result in a weakening of the vampire, or at the very least some negative side effects akin to a junkie suddenly going cold turkey.

Does the fatal bite rule apply between species? By which I mean if a lycan bit a vampire or vice versa, would the bite be fatal? Also, you stated that the vampires in this setting precede humanity, does that mean that humans are a result of a mutation in the species, or are they simply a result of parallel evolution? Sorry about my wordiness, I just find topics like this fascinating.
Jacque let out a chuckle of amusement, shrugging off the response he received without so much as a blink. Coal, being a bit more perceptive of people's irritation than her master, slithered off of Jacque's shoulders until she dangled halfway off, "You'll have to forgive Jacque, he can be a bit nossy at times. Not to mention foolissh. His stupidity not withstanding, the boy means well enough.". Jacque nodded agreeably until he realized the slight, "You know, some might considering insulting the intelligence the guy who cared for you since you hatched rude." The mage said before adjusting himself on his branch a bit, "No need to worry Mr.Prefect, like Coal said, i'm not really up here to cause you trouble. It just seemed like you'd be a cool enough guy to hang around for a bit. I don't really see to many types as comfortable up in a tree as myself. Kind of refreshing really. I can just leave if you want me to though." Jacque said before reaching down to help support Coal's body.
If we were to delve into the weaknesses of both species, i'd wager that many of the traditional ones would still stand, i.e. Vampires being weak to sunlight, fire, blessed silver white ash tree stakes/arrows to the heart, & blood deprivation. Some of them such as an inability to cross may water may not still be in effect, as Ghost mentioned there being rain in the first post without making it seem like an issue, and whether or not church grounds and requiring permission to enter a house being issues remains to be seen, just as it remains to be seen whether the vampiric OCD* weakness is in play. It's safe to wager that things such as silver (both blessed and non blessed), wolfsbane, and fire would still cause issues for werewolves, though as Mafia mentioned, wolfsbane would be more of a severe allergen than it would be fatal, though it stands to reason that too much of the stuff might send a lycan into anaphylactic shock much like any allergen would. Depending on the lore, wolfsbane might also be used to cloak oneself from the sharp nose of a werewolf, though it would likely be a balancing act as too much could alert a lycan to the plant's presence, and too little would give away the wearer's scent. There may also be an issue with younger lycans having extreme difficultly controlling their blood lust and older ones having learned to curb (but not fully tame) theirs. This is all speculation on my part of course.

**In some lore it is believed that one can avoid a vampire attack by spilling a large quantity of rice or salt, as vampires are strongly compelled to count the grains due to obsessive compulsive disorder. Some villages still practice leaving piles of rice or salt outside of their houses to avoid attack.
"I'm sure I can find a way to get a higher payout." Jacque says as he begins nonchalantly examining his fingernails, "I find people'll pay anything if they don't have any other options available. For example, say if tomorrow every other person that ran a guiding service happened to have a series of unfortunate "mishaps" that forced them to retire. They can't exactly threaten to go to the competition if the competition somehow shattered both legs in a terrible horse related accident.". Jacque looks over his hand and gives Renria a crooked grin in case his words don't already imply what he has suggested. The sudden appearance of Ashadon, paired with the words he speaks causes Jacque to shoot Renria a perplexed look, "I had my doubts about that giant slaying song. Never figured you'd embellish that much.".
Rain, it was often a subject of debate for many people. There were some who loved it, be it for aesthetic reasons or simply because it blocked out the bright sun, and some who hated it due to the sense of gloom that hung about when rain was present. For one Dimitri Santos, the rain was nothing if not a godsend. It meant that he could roam the streets during the day and acquire the little knickknacks that made his immortality all the more enjoyable before stores closed. Knickknacks such as the large cuban cigar that he clenched firmly in his teeth as he strode briskly through the halls of the facility that served as a headquarter for his kind. The vampire idly scratched his chin as he felt a bit of ash fall into his beard before blowing out a thick plume of smoke from his nostrils. Dimitri finally slowed to a stop as he reached his destination: The briefing room. Hearing a few voices inside, Dimitri chose to stand beside the doorway rather than idle about the front and knock, lest he draw the ire of whichever of his superiors was currently inside. Instead, Dimitri pressed his back to the wall and laid both his hands overtop of his cane, occasionally puffing his cigar and blowing out either a stream or ring of smoke while he waited for the briefing to end. The reason for Dimitri's idling was simple: He wanted a mission, preferably something difficult to keep his skills from getting dull.
I shall throw my hat into the ring as well.

Name: Dimitri Santos
Age(21 is the minimum for Queen's operatives): 172
Looks: Appearance- He stands at 6'3" and weighs about 179 pounds
History: Originally born in the Republic of Honduras during the height of the liberated country's attempts at unity. Growing up in a land wracked with several small rebellions and civil wars, Dimitri made a life for himself at the age of sixteen by joining whatever rebel forces happened to be the most powerful at the time, hopping from one militia to another whenever there were better rewards to be reaped or when it seemed that the force he was currently joined with was on the verge of losing. For several years a combination of luck and skill kept Dimitri from getting injured or killed, however it finally appeared to run out when Dimitri was shot and left to bleed out in the streets during a riot. Fate appeared to be kind to Dimitri however, as an emissary of the vampire queen happened to be in Honduras on business and was taking the opportunity presented by the riot to feed. Perhaps it was because Dimitri had skills that could be useful, or maybe Dimitri's unwillingness to succumb to his wounds simply amused the emissary, but Dimitri was offered a chance to escape death so long as he pledged his allegiance to the Queen. He's been in Her Majesty's service for decades now, and has honed his skills during that time so as to better serve the Queen as a tool of war.

Special skills(i.e. cloaking, hunting, sticky fingers): Psychological warfare, interrogation, intimidation
Other: He carries around a cane sword dipped in silver and despite serving the Queen without question, it's hard to tell where his allegiances lie at times.
