It hadn't taken long for Jacque to return home after the altercation between the three supers had subsided. He'd been on his couch, shifting his attention between counting the money in his bag, and trying to figure out the value of the jewelry with the help of his iPad which was wrapped in a waterproof case to allow him to use his liquid arm. A series of loud explosions in the air followed by a multiple tremors instantly pulled his attention away from the loot, "What the hell..." the boy muttered as he dropped his prizes and sauntered over to the window. There was something very strange in the distance, a like some sort of air craft, though not one he'd ever seen in his lifetime. Through the smoke of the wreckage Jacque could see a glowing red figure rise from out of the wreck. Despite his instincts telling him otherwise, Jacque felt he had to go figure out just what that strange thing was, though not without some preparation first. He quickly ran into his room and pulled out and filled the larger camel pack he kept for bigger jobs as well as his machete, there was no way of telling if that thing was hostile after all, and he'd be damned if he ended up getting caught unawares. Jacque ran back into his living room and raised his window, then leapt out of it, using the water arm he still had in place to shut the window before wrapping it around a street light to keep him from plummeting to the ground. He was soon making his way down the street, and towards the strange glowing figure.
There are a few things one learns when they spend most of their lives outside of the safe walls of a quarantine zone. One of those things was to always trust your senses, like your senses of smell and hearing for example. And right now Dimitri's nose was telling him there was a fire somewhere west of him, not very far off if the thick clouds of smoke rising towards the sky were any indication, and his ears told him that the infected were starting to get riled up. Already Dimitri could hear clickers becoming more agitated from within the dilapidated buildings around him, but it wasn't the clickers that worried Dimitri, clickers may have had good hearing, but chucking a rock or brick at a window did wonders to get them off your trail. The sounds that truly sent chills up his spine, were the ever so distinctive croaks that could only come from a stalker. "Fuck me running..." Dimitri hissed under his breath as he spat out his cigarillo and ground it under his boot. Of all the infected, there where only two types that caused him genuine concern: stalkers and bloaters, but the latter was at least blind and slow, no such luck would be found with the former. Dimitri drew his revolver and picked up the pace hoping to find a tunnel way into the QZ, though he made sure not to move too quickly, he needed to be able to see everything clearly, one missed detail now more than ever would mean the difference between life and death.
Oh dear. Car troubles, bandits, fire and infected. Looks like Dimitri won't be catching any breaks soon XD
As the two immediately interesting people from the strange trio left the scene, Jacque rose from his temporary hiding spot and dusted the dirt from his torso and clothing. "Well, that was a bit of a let down. I thought for sure that fists would fly..." he lamented aloud, not really caring at this point whether or not the remaining person, the young woman, heard him or not. The hydromancer began to trudge forward yet again, intent on dropping off his latest plunder at his house before the cops he'd pummeled earlier woke up and started causing a ruckus for him.
As the scene before him played out, Jacque found himself sprawled on his belly with his legs intertwined and his head held up by both his real limb and the one made of water, looking for all the world like a child watching television on the floor. "I'd kill for some licorice. This looks like its gonna be good." he mused while studying each person carefully. So far the most interesting of the bunch was the umbramancer who had summoned multiple shadows with weapons, though he seemed a bit hesitant to actually get violent, the one with the tendrils also proved to be most interesting, and unlike the first guy he seemed more than willing to shed some blood if his words were any indicator, lastly, there was the young woman, who's abilities Jacque had yet to asses, making her a bit of a wild card. "T'hell with going home, this shit's better than pay-per-view." he sniggered as he began to kick his legs back and forth softly.

I think I have to back out of this. I'm seriously stuck and only falling pages and pages behind. >< I'm real sorry.

D'awww. And here I was hoping for something reminiscent of our rp glory days Diz. Ah well, its good to finally see you again what with the death of the previous hero rp we did and the site shut down.
Completely off subject, but Barioth, your little Deviljho gif brings me great amusement. For a minute there it made me forget the hell I went through fighting that thing in my Monster hunter days. Then the memories of that thing charging me return and....yeesh...
The police had set up a perimeter about a kilometer away from the scene of the disturbance. Jacque paused to question the distance to himself, but his question was quickly answered when he caught did bits mentioning 'supers' in the area. "Figures. God forbid they make it easy to get by." Jacque scoffed as he eyed the uniformed men with annoyance. The hydromancer had run out of buildings within reach, and with no water nearby to make use of and no way to sneak past without going a ridiculous distance, Jacque saw only one option to get through. With an exaggerated sigh, Jacque leapt down from the building and began walking towards the lined up cruisers, a scowl forming on his face as he walked. "Hold on there sir, this area is currently off limi-", the officer trying to intercept Jacque was quickly silenced by a rather large fist made of liquid slamming into his face and sending him to the ground. A fun fact about water, if you move towards or it moves towards you fast enough, you might as well hit something solid. A fact that Jacque, and now a Arcus police officer was all to aware of. While lacking any formal training in close quarters combat, Jacque's unpredictable street savvy fighting style combined with his powers and willingness to fight dirty made short work of the squad that had arrived. and although he'd left them all alive, a good portion of them were going to need stitches and casts for quite a while.

The boy continued along his merry way as if he'd never flattened a group of people just to get to his destination quicker, stopping only when he saw people ahead. Jacque walked over to a small pile of rubble and crouched down slightly in a half hearted attempt at concealing himself. Whatever was going on didn't concern him, so while he intended to watch the spectacle, Jacque would make no move to get involved unless something happened to throw him into the mix.
Jacque frowned a bit as he heard the sirens fading into the distance. Normally this would have simply sounded the 'all clear' in his head, but the sirens were moving in the opposite direction of the way he'd run, and there were far too many to just be a response to home invasion. Whats more, they seemed to be heading towards sector three, meaning whatever was going on was a bit too close to his apartment on the border of sector four for comfort, "Might as well see what the hell is going on. I really hope my home ain't caught in the cross fire." Jacque sighed as he rolled back into a standing position and shouldered the bag. Like a flash he was off, willing the water back to its limb state and using it as a grappling hook to swing from roof tops and street lights, following the police cruisers just fast enough to keep sight of them, but slow enough not to arouse suspicion. Whatever was going on, Jacque was sure it was bound to either amuse him or piss him off.
As Jacque continued to flee the scene of his crimes, the sirens started getting a bit close for his comfort, leaving him with fewer and fewer options. He couldn't exactly slow to walk and act normal, with a breaking and entering having just taken place the police would no doubt question his duffel bag, and although Jacque was a semi-decent crook, he wasn't the best of liars. The boy saw an alley way up ahead and smirked, "It would seem fate hasn't fully abandoned me after all." he said with a chuckle before making the sharp turn into the alley. Once out of sight, Jacque extended the arm he'd made from water up as far as it would reached, grasping firmly onto the edge of the roof before pulling himself up. He was safe, at least for the time being, all that he needed to do now was wait until it got darker or the police cleared the area, 'Might as well get comfy' Jacque internally mused before willing the water back into his camel pack, capping it, the lying on the roof and staring at the clouds with the bag as a makeshift pillow.
