Well, Erika just defeated Beatrice in that battle, leaving the witch to bleed out in pain. You could encounter Beatrice if you want, and help her get the "valuable book" back from Erika before more of her secrets are revealed. Just saying if too much people see the "truth" of Beatrice's identity, that would kill her as the denial would be too much for the witch's magic and essence to exist.

He didn't really care about what was going on around him. He just liked to sleep. If he could, he'd just sleep his days away, and not really do much else.

Not only. He specializes in torturing the mind, soul and body. Once he's decided on a target, he or she won't get out without serious mental and physical trauma. He might slaughter the entirety of South Park for fun, or force Kenny to eat his own legs. So many options~!
