Well if a team sport kind of idea is what you are looking for I could suggest something like a Blitz the League type of setting. Leaves a lot of opportunity for storylines and character development in something like that. Just a suggestion though. If this gets following I'm willing to join.
Posted and again, sorry for not being as active as I was earlier in the summer guys. I'm still in Tennessee with family and I won't be going back home until August 6th. I'm still keeping up as best I can on my phone thankfully since lack of space prevents me from leaving my laptop open all day. My trip is almost done though so soon I'll be back to my usual self. Sorry again folks. :(

Inadi watched as Harper was thrown across the way and it made him go wide-eyed. He forgot that he had a live zombie still struggling within his grasp. Riley suddenly shouted at him to check on Harper which made the halberd holding man roll his eyes. “Yeah sure, as soon as I take care of fatso here I'll do what I can for Harper. Right now you need to focus on taking care of what you can. This guy will be done before long!” He yelled back as a sudden lurch in the big guy's frame made Inadi feel like his shoulders were just thrown out of socket.

For having a spear tip lodged right in his chest, the big guy was still putting up a fight. Inadi was still stuck as he continued to fight to get his spear removed from the thing. It was likely a rib that was keeping it from coming back out but at this point whatever it was Inadi was hoping it was going to break before his arms did. All the while he was wrangling the stupid thing his friends were being thrown against the witch and her powers. Stupid zombie. If it would just die again he could go on and help the rest of them. For the moment though Inadi was stuck hanging on to what felt like dear life.

Another quick lurch and the spear came out and along with it a good portion of what looked like a sternum. That explained why the spear was stuck. Looking at the sternum that he was about to pull off he noticed that it was covered in that sludge the stupid thing was spitting. The spear didn't seem affected by it which was a good revelation. The big guy turned around again and, with his guts spilling out with a few bubbling bits of acid as well, began walking towards the boy. Quickly picking himself off the ground he was thrown to after the sudden freedom he got with the spear becoming unstuck he slammed the spear head on the ground to break the sternum off. Now looking up at the monster he was about to make a quick strike at the thing, but at that point a collection of wisps began circling the two of them.

Unsure as to why the wisps were suddenly coming over towards them Inadi began trying to avoid the black lights as the big zombie waved them away with its large arms. While avoiding the lights, Inadi looked over and saw a sight that made his stomach drop. Lesley riding the unicorn that she and Jasper had cured looked like he was in a complete mess. His arm was gone because of one of those stupid wisps and it looked like he was bleeding as well. Inadi grew angry with himself as he watched the big stupid behemoth in front of him continue to wave his arms at the wisps. Finally he did the one thing he couldn't afford to do. The big guy touched one.

The stone virus began spreading through his arm and up to his shoulders. It tried wiping it off as it reached the neck and chest. The acid that was spilling out turned to stone quickly and finally the head. The grunting finally stopped, as did all the wisps that were flying overhead as well. Confused, the framed face of Inadi looked up to see that the witch was now dead, but not without a serious toll that was taken on the group. Everyone had injuries it seemed and Inadi stood there on his own, completely unscathed it seemed. Harper was no doubt still suffering from him being thrown earlier, Ace looked like she was struggling a bit as well as some of the guides. A low growl rattled in his throat as a collection of lightening gathered in his hand. Looking up at the stone statue of the big zombie Inadi made a bolt shoot out from his knuckles. With a powerful and quick movement, Inadi shoved the bolt into the head of the statue. Dust exploded from the now empty area that once held the statue's head. Throwing his spear over his shoulder he raced over to the others of the group.

At first Inadi wanted to shoot over to Harper, the person Riley wanted him to check on earlier in the first place, but saw that the red head and tended to him and gotten him to his feet. Going over to the rest of the group Harper was then left in the care of Hakuren and Lesley was then the center of attention. Wanting to say something to him in hopes of making him feel better about the situation, Inadi found himself drawing a blank and quickly retreated into himself as he continued finding hard to try and break into rest of the group that had fought so hard against the witch while he was left useless because of one stupid zombie.

Riley then reminded everyone that there was a baby dragon still left to find and Inadi sighed. As the feather was being passed around that Jasper was using to help everyone Inadi waved it off. He didn't need it anyway. Nothing a few minutes of rest wouldn't fix. Scanning the area to try and think of a good place to start the search again Inadi became lost in his own skin. With all the movement and fighting he had forgotten where they had been and where they had yet to step into. He turned to the rest of the group and looked as everyone got the last bits of healing they needed. Deciding that he needed to provide some sort of support before he began beating himself up anymore he let out an agitated sigh. “We need to keep moving like Jasper said. For those still a little sore from the fight before, stay in the middle of the group so that nothing can jump us again and get the upper hand,” Inadi said as he began walking over to Lesley and set his spear aside. Giving him a quick look, and a said shot at his arm and his hip, Inadi shook his head. “And if the unicorn isn't going to join us any further I don't want you walking. I'll carry you if need be,” He told him, a forced smile now on his face. Inadi wanted to show some kind of confidence at the situation. Looking down at his necklace, he saw that he was just under half full. Pointing at the jewel he finished his sentence. “I still got a little magic left in me thankfully.” Inadi finished as he watched the group begin moving after the feather was passed around to the last few people that still needed it.
Just posted and in regards to the genderbend chapter, I must say that would be my first journey into posting as a female and I am all for that. XD

Inadi watched as the witch dispersed her little hoard of zombies and undead and decided to face off with them in person. He wanted to throw out another quip her way but decided it was best for focus his energies on taking care of one of the major threats. One being the witch obviously, the other being the large fat zombie that apparently didn't get the memo to disappear with the rest of the trash. Rather than deciding for himself, Ace decided to turn to him and Riley to take the thing out. Riley and him began sizing up the the thing and he didn't like the match up at all.

This big one seemed to have a serious advantage none of the other ones from before had. That damn spit it had was not something easily avoided and it was similar to those slimes that the group had fought when they first arrived from the cat bus. Now instead of slow moving piles of acid, it was a stream of flesh eating acid being shot at them from something that clearly had eaten too much during its time alive. Riley began talking about attacking soon, but Inadi was still nervous about the whole concept of charging at the thing.

The fire mage began talking about an old game he remembered playing a bit back home. This thing was a bit like a boomer in the sense that the sludge needed to be avoided. Except in this case the sludge was actually damaging rather than a calling card for other zombies. And the other thing that was concerning was that if this thing was anything like a boomer it may explode if it suffers too much damage. No telling how volatile that mixture of acid was inside that thing's gut. Riley began charging it with a stick she had set ablaze and seemed to just make it pissed. Inadi smiled and looked at her as she asked him to gut the thing.

“Well I'll try and hopefully I can keep my balance a little better.” Inadi joked with her, referencing her windmill like state she had trying to stay on her feet. The monster seemed to calm down from the agitation it had felt and now turned to the two fighters that were staring it down. A gurgling sound was beginning to form the thing's gut and it made Inadi a little uncomfortable as the rumbling made its way up to the throat. Quickly pushing Riley out of the way and rolling to the side, the two escaped another helping of bile that was shot at them. Was this thing trying to separate them and make them fight it one at a time? Surely this thing wasn't that smart. Then again, Inadi had been wrong before about things in this world.

Looking at the others fighting the witch and seeing how the nasty old hag was still having her fun now with dark wisps that were turning things to stone as they touched ground. Inadi began thinking back to Their colleague who was turned to stone in Vincent. Needless to say Inadi didn't want to join him in that kind of hell and quickly picked himself up off the ground. Putting his spear forward he watched as the monster in front of him followed the tip's every move. Testing the reflexes of the beast, he shifted it every few seconds, only to find that the monster was very attentive and quick to react to the moves. Clearly this thing was good at using sight, which was surprising considering how heavy its brow looked with all the fat it had. Suddenly Inadi had an idea that struck him as genius. He quickly began building up his flash bomb he used back at the cabin again when the lights went out. “Hey big guy, let me ask you a quick question if you can answer,” He told it as it tilted its head in curiosity. “Do you know how bright the sun is?”

Throwing his hand up to show the large collection of bolts he had made, Inadi turned his head and closed his eyes as he crushed it in his hand. The monster screamed in pain it seemed and began rubbing its eyes furiously. Inadi looked and was happy to see that part of his plan worked. He quickly began running to get behind the thing like Riley told him to. As he waited for the thing to stop squirming, he quickly shoved his spear into the thing's back and heard it screech in pain. Inadi laughed and looked over to Riley. “Let's get to work on that witch then, shall w....” Inadi suddenly began feeling a bit of a tough tug on his spear as he couldn't rip it out of the zombie's gut. Trying to get an idea of what was going on, it looked like the hook on his spear had caught a rib on the way back out and he was now stuck onto the thing. Groaning in agitation, he tried pulling again on the spear only to have the big guy walk with him and wave his arms in agitation. Not only was he stuck to the zombie, but it was still alive. Lucky for him he couldn't do much with him directly behind him and the acid was slowly spilling out since the spear was still inside it. Inadi looked at Riley hoping she had an idea. “What do you think? Should we use big guy here as some kind of shield?” He asked with a bit of agitation growing in his voice as he continued watching the others fight the witch and how it looked like things were getting dire.
Sorry about that Orpheus. Forgot about that detail. Fixed it.
Got my post up there. Hope Leila doesn't mind the zombie slaying company. Figured I'd pick up on the bonding that was going on back at the Midnight Man cabin. Haha!

Inadi watched as Ace, Jasper and Avian went into the cabin, but it seemed like they began having some trouble inside. He was about to go in and check out what was going on, but hands started coming up from beneath him and tried grabbing a hold of his feet. Rolling his eyes he spun his spear around and started slicing the hands away with his halberd. “Undead, just what the nightmares ordered.” He said sarcastically as another creature, an undead unicorn joined the fray as well it seemed. While the guides were shocked to see a creature so pure turned into something so hideous, Inadi was just focused on preparing for whatever else was about to come out and join the dance they were about to become a part of.

Hearing a very dark laugh from above him, he saw that his concern for the birds from earlier was warranted. Now along with the crows was a hooded woman who apparently had a very bad reaction to apples, or rather apples had a bad reaction to her. Kicking away hands that were still shooting up at him he gave a quick scoff at the woman. “Should have stayed as a crow lady. At least then you had a decent sized beak.” Inadi joked, feeling a bit more confident at the whole situation. It was surprising to him that he wasn't freaking out at this point, though he supposed fighting a dragon made legions of the undead seem like a bit of a breeze by comparison.

However his joke didn't sit well with the witch as now suddenly skeletons shot from the ground and one in particular jumped onto his back. The thing seemed like he wanted to take a bite out of him, and with the new sensation of having something out of the blue jump on him Inadi began panicking. Luckily though it seemed that the guide he had questioned earlier was on the look out for him. Looking over at Avian as the guide continued clearing out the dead he gave him a quick thumbs up to show that he appreciated the save. Yet he had to quickly get his attention back on another bone walker that was coming up on him quickly. Yet just like the zombies, these things seemed to have a really bad one track mind, just running head long at him. Spinning the halberd in his hand again Inadi shoved the spear into the forehead of the skull. Smiling, thinking he had taken care of the bag of bones, the framed face suddenly began to sag as the skeleton picked itself up. The pointed tip was still locked into the skull. Inadi quickly pulled it out and began biting his lip in frustration.

From the corner of his eye there was a large and bright light that seemed to shoot out from the last part that the boy remembered seeing the unicorn at. Looking over to the sight he was able to get a bit of a smile back on his face. Seemed like Lesley and Jasper were able to team up and get the unicorn purified from where it was before. Good thing for them, both in beating the witch and the two of them alone. The two of them seemed to be on shaky ground for a while since the discussion they had near the dragons. Inadi wasn't sure why. Returning his attention to the skeleton he was facing he noticed that it was jumping to him. Using the handle of his weapon as leverage he threw it to the side and watched it explode on the ground into a pile of bones.

Inadi felt somewhat victorious for the moment and decided to regroup elsewhere. He saw Leila was nearby and screaming for Harper. While she did that it seemed like she was unaware of a zombie coming up from behind her as well as some that were approaching her from the front. Deciding that it was time to lend a helping hand Inadi began charging after the zombie behind her. Thrusting the pointed tip into the skull of the zombie, the creature quickly dropped to the floor and Inadi threw out a smile.

Giving a quick look to Leila and noticing another zombie nearby, Inadi sliced out the legs from underneath it and quickly stabbed the head again. This time he was able to at least see the quiet girl's profile and he gave a chuckle. “Definitely would like to see these things stop popping out like rabbits right?” He joked as he quickly shot back up to his feet and gave a quick look back up to the old witch that was still looking down on them. She seemed to be enjoying herself up there, a little too much in his opinion. Deciding it was about time to try and get that smile off her face, Inadi began charging up a quick bolt in his hand and began looking for a good target to get.

Rather than go straight at the witch herself, he saw bird that was sitting pretty close to her. Throwing his right hand out like a straight jab, a quick bolt shot out and blasted the bird into a pile of feathers. Inadi laughed as he continued going back to work on the zombies nearby. “Sorry about that, was she a favorite of yours?” He asked with a chuckle while still swinging away at zombies and a few other skeletons that seemed to be becoming more frequent. He stuck close to Leila for the time being, figuring that the ranged archer needed to have someone watching her back in case she ran out of ammunition or the creatures got too close.
I should be able to get a post up tonight. It might just be a little late. And the whole time skip idea sounds like a plan. Looking forward to it. :)
Gonna bump this to see about getting some more attention.
