Jessalyn / Ben - Plaza - Could it be...?

Jess followed the girl, Becca she had said her name was. She kept looking around as if she expected to be attacked at any moment, holding Ben close. At the mention of Kerry's name she flinced. "The men who were with him tried to take my baby from me," she said. "I haven't killed anyone before, but I will if anyone else tries to take Ben from me," she said firmly.
She could see the questions in the girl's eyes but was glad she refrained from asking them, except the one about Jess' group. "I was with a man named Abram and a couple of women : Turisa, Leah and Sam. Before that I was with a man named Floyd," she looked at the girl closely, hopefully. "Have any of them come here?"

Before the girl could answer a few men walked by close enough the girls could hear their conversation.
"Any of the new people worth anything?"
"Women are always worth something. The boy doesn't look like much but the guy looks strong and tough enough. But he also looks like he's going to be a bastard."
"The way the world is now you have to be," one the men pointed out. "Besides with the way things have been going with Magnus we're going to need a few bastards on our side of things."

Jess looked at Becca with questioning eyes. New people? And one looked strong and tough? Could it be Abram and the others? Had they been captured too?
"Can I see them?" she asked. "They might be my group."
Without seeing if Becca said yes or no Jess hurried off towards the warehouse where she had been brought when she had first arrived. She noticed a man following close behind her but Tremblay had promised her that she wouldn't be harmed here, so she'd see if that was true. He was probably assigned to be her warden in a sense, making sure she didn't try to run off or do anything stupid.

She reached the warehouse but stood off a ways, watching the door intently. She didn't know if Becca had followed her and right now she didn't care. Jess was trying not to get her hopes us, having been disappointed so many times, but maybe, just maybe this once things would go her way. Fate had not been that kind so far. Perhaps Jess was due for something good to happen.

The door opened. She held her breath.
Tremblay came out first followed by a few men, then a woman followed by a teenage boy. Then...

Her breath caught.
No....
It couldn't... be...
But it was. It was him.

Tears flooded her eyes. She opened her mouth but nothing came out. "Fl..." she stammered breathlessly, almost afraid to move in case this was a dream. After all this time... all the weeks and months of searching...
"Floyd..." she whispered.
Suddenly her heart burst in her chest. Pure joy erupted from inside of her, bubbling over in the tears that flooded down her cheeks. Ben let out a squeal just as she screamed.

"FLOYD!"
Maria was shocked when the knife appeared again. The bastard had managed to talk her into a relaxed state of mind so she wasn't prepared for what happened next.
The female screamed bloody murder. It was deeper and more horrific then any scream she had done so far. He recreated her injuries, cutting through the scar tissue that had begun to form over them. She stared at the ceiling, her vision blinded by the pain and by her tears.

And as if this torture wasn't enough, the sick creep put the final touch on the horror.
He carved his initial into her leg... as if he was somehow claiming her body as his to abuse and ruin for the rest of her days. This act was worse then any of the others he had done to her.
And she knew, deep within her heart, that she would never rest until he was in pieces at her feet...
I will post tomorrow night

Katie - Motel - Liam / Tyler / George

Katie folded her arms and frowned, pouting. He was ignoring her. She actually looked very cute with her lip pushed out slightly in a pout. She picked up her kitten before following them outside but at a slow pace and dragging her feet with every step.

He was talking about shooting people. Not just the monsters, but alive people too. Like Lauren...
"I don't want to," she said, her voice small but defiant. She hugged her kitten tighter, staring at the gun like it was something evil. "Monsters are bad. I want to hurt them. But people... real live people... I don't want to."

Katie stuck her chin out stubbornly, a show of stubborness she had gotten from her mother. "Her face exploded," she said, her voice getting a little louder. "Her. Face. Exploded. I don't want to ever see that ever again. Never never never."
She shook her head with each word.
"Why do you want me to hurt people?" she asked, her lip quivering now. "You're good. You're my daddy. Hurting people is bad... but you like hurting people," she suddenly stammered, backing away a few steps. "You like shooting people and hurting them. You wanted Lauren to die. You wanted to hurt Scarlett's feelings..."

Her kitten scrambled out of her arms but she didn't bother trying to stop it. "Why did you hurt Scarlett's feelings? She's nice and she's helped us. Scarlett is my friend and I like her. And she likes you too. You should say you're sorry for hurting her feelings."

Jessalyn / Ben - The Plaza - Becca / KK

Jess jumped when the young woman spoke to her. She seemed normal as well, even smiling at Ben who stared back trying to process who this new person was.
"I.. um... yes," she answered, following the woman inside the first aid tent. "I am supposed to meet someone named KK. I was... taken from my group, and brought here."

"This is my son," she said, shifting him a little. "His name is Benjamin Daniel. Ben. I had him two months ago."

She looked around the tent, marveling a little at how clean and organized everything was. Very different from other places she had seen. She looked back at Becca hopefully. "The man, Tremblay, he said there were baby supplies here. I should change him and give him something to cuddle with, to distract him. It's been a very... upsetting day so far."

Jess also wanted to know what kind of supplies they had for when she could start setting up a place for her and Ben to stay. Se started a mental list in her head.
Diapers... baby wipes... powder... pacifiers... a cradle or crib... clothes... soft toys... blankets... lots of blankets...
As she thought of that she shivered and cuddled Ben closer to her. They were not dressed for the sudden chill. She needed a blanket for him right now. If he got sick... she didn't even want to think about it.
Maria sat on the floor where she had been bascially thrown. The bindings bit into her wrists but she didn't bother asking for them to be looser. At least she wasn't bound to the table again.
She expected him to either leave or hit her, but he did neither. He just sat there, staring at her. Her wet hair was curling madly, thanks to the natural curl in it. She wished for a brush to tame the wildness but didn't hold out hope for that either.

The staring was making her uncomfortable. She shifted a little, looking away from him. What did he expect from her now? Was he just going to stare at her?
Instinct told her that his mother was a taboo subject so she wasn't about to bring that up again.

"I laid with quite a few men, but never got pregnant," she mused aloud. "Makes me wonder if the timing was off or if I was just barren. If the latter... well that is a useful trait for a high-end prostitute," she said with a wry smile. "I didn't lay with everyone who came to port," she said. "I was choosey, only allowing powerful pirate captains into my bed," she chuckled a bit. "I don't look like it now, but I was once the lover of Calico Jack. He was a fool, but a handsome one. When I refused to go to sea with him he took on that crafty bitch Anne Bonney. She was his downfall, her and Mary Reed. But then women are often the downfall of powerful men, aren't they?" she mused thoughtfully and sighed. "She died in prison you know, Mary Reed. Died in childbirth. No one knows what happened to Anne Bonney, the most famous female pirate in history, but I do... I know what happened to her... and her baby..."
She trailed off and sighed. "I never wanted to be a prostitute," she admitted. "But that was what my mother was. My mother was a prostitute and my father was a pirate... and children rarely move beyond the level of their parents. If Alistair hadn't found me when he had, I probably would have been dead within a year or two."

She hadn't meant to ramble so much, but she was trying to fill the silence.
Katie - Hotel - Tyler, Liam

Whatever was going on... she didn't like it.
Her daddy had her getting up and washing in a 'something-is-going-to-happen-today' way that had her frowning suspiciously. Cuddling her kitten, Katie did as she was told and peeked out the door to see her daddy at Scarlett's door. What she heard confused her more.
He wanted Scarlett to stay out of it, whatever 'it' was? Why? Was it something that Katie had done? Was it because of what she had asked yesterday?

She moved away from the door when he came back, staring at her feet.
What was she supposed to do?
Biting her lip, she decided she needed to let her daddy know how she felt. Right now.

"I want Scarlett here too," she said, her little seven year old voice firm and had the edge of a potential tantrum in it. "She's my friend."

Jessalyn - Plaza - Tremblay / Caretakers / KK

Jess had no choice but to accept what he said, that both she and Ben would be safe here.
His next words made her head snap up in surprise.
Leave safely...? Did that mean...? Did he really intend to let them go eventually?

His hand on her shoulder caused her to jump a little, her nerves making her shake a bit under his touch. She followed him out of the bookstore, listening carefully as he explained where everything was. When he mentioned Magnus she couldn't help but agree. Even though she hadn't met the man the impression she had gotten so far was that he was not a nice person.

Her next surprise came when he seemed to be allowing her to walk around freely. Evidently he wasn't concerned that she would try to escape. Of course, where would she go? She didn't know the way back to the house where Abram and the others were and the only other person she would try to find was...

Floyd...

Sighing, she went towards the center and stepped inside, holding Ben close and looking around like a doe watching for danger.
