While I am happy to see you Mortimer, I have a question about your character.
He is very badass and we do need some of those in a zombie apocalypse, but could you maybe tone it down just a little? I mean taking his friend's skull and putting it on his own head would work in another rp, but it doesn't seem very realistic for this one.
The picture is absolutely fine. I juts didn't want drawn images or anime because this isn't going to be a cartoon. But if it looks real then it's fine.
I like the fact that he is a medic because we are definitely going to need one.

Name: Jack "Mr. Grimm" McKormack
Age : 45
Skill : He's a master and expert at hand-to-hand combat, and is somewhat good with using weapons, but he prefers a knife, a machete or anything that is melee everyday. He is also a very good medic.
Weapon (up three): He has a machete and a scythe.
Personality : He's not a very nice person at all, he is usually rude and uninterested towards anyone and won't show any compassion at killing you if turn into a zombie. But other than that he's a very trustworthy person, one of the greatest things he learned when serving the army.
Brief Bio : Jack had served the U.S army for more than twenty years. He started as a simple medic, inside a tent and treating and curing every soldier that was sent injuried into his workplace. However, fifteen years working as a medic twisted his mind a little, and he developed a craving to see how people where sent there, why their flesh failed to stop the bullets or how it broke from the edge of a knife. He was sent on a mission to the south-american jungle to treat with some terrorists. There, he met his best friend, Benny. He was a person Jack felt like he was really comfortable with. Benny had two sons, and he had to go back home. It was actually his last mission. However, in the middle of the mission, they were ambushed in a corn-field, and one of their troopers stepped on a land-mine, detonating it and sending everyone into the air. The terrorists were alerted and a slaughter started with Jack unconscious and on the verge of dying. When he woke up, the dead corpse of Benny laid next to him, his eyes open and showing how life had escaped them. Fueled with rage and anger, he stood up and grabbed a sickle he found around and proceeded to kill the remaining terrorist who were unaware of the stealth menace they were facing. Since then, he was deemed "Mr. Grimm" by the army itself, and he was discharged for mental insanity. Shortly after he came back home, he found a skeleton in a hospital whose skull was suspiciously particular to Benny's, so in honor to his deceased partner, he stole the skull stitched it to his head to show how sorry he is for his death. Now, he just roams the the wastelands of the ravaged city with the bloodied skull on his head, still believing the skull is actually his friend's one.
"They say human mind bends and twists in order to deal with problems of life...I think my mind bend so much it snapped in two."

Skill : James is a really good liar, and is good at escaping things.

Personality : James is a kind, nice person, who likes to be outside. Well, he likes to be outside when he can be. James is a really shy and fearful person, who is made upset easily and easily cries. He is also really good liar, and tells lies to get himself out of things. Unfortunately, when you lie, this can lead to future consequences if the truth is revealed...
Brief Bio : James was a student at school. He always lied, and he always got out of things. When the walkers came, James was at home by himself. His front door was knocked down, so James took a sharp knife and ran out the back. He doesn't know what happened to his parents, but he suspects that they are dead.

Name : Rob O'Dara

Weapon (up three): Good old baseball bat, and a large knife
Personality : Is somewhat friendly to people who he somewhat knows on the outside, but is still wary with people, which of course he won't tell them. He does try to get people to be friendly, seeing as it can help him and probably the person who's he is talking to. However, while he may be friendly, if you get bitten, he won't hesitate to kill you.
Brief Bio : Parents of farmers, Rob opened up a small café with his brother, after the outbreak, he was separated from his brother. Wandering around, he tried to find him. Eventually he just gave up, surviving becoming the main priority. He still hopes he will find him eventually (Anyone interested in playing him, go ahead) All the time he had been alone, he may find groups, but he tends to leave them as they be.

Floyd Conlon = QT

Name: Floyd Conlon
Age: 29
Skill: Farming. Hunting. Bowman. Brawling.
Weapon (up three): Recurve Bow. Arrows. Trench Knife.
Personality: Floyd doesn't like getting told what to do, due to some past experiences with his father. He's more of a lonesome person and prefers working alone, seeing other people as a hassle and hard to work with. Though he is volatile, he is more level-headed than most people in the present situation. Though he's mainly distant, he still holds deep care for many of the people he's interacted with. He's not as selfless as he acts.
Brief Bio : After his mother passed away, Floyd moved in with his father, who had been divorced for more than three years. At the time, Floyd was nineteen years old, absent of thought for the situation, he really didn't care, but soon would. His father didn't care about Floyd, he saw him as a responsibility he had no choice but to partake in. Interaction between them was scant. Because Floyd was unable to get a job outside his father's farm, he lived there until he was twenty three. His father passed away three months after Floyd's birthday. Floyd could not maintain the farm and was stripped of it by local tax collectors and such. With the remaining money, he moved to New Orleans living in a small cabin near the woods. Without money, he could not buy food, therefore fell back on his crop work along with his hunting skills. He stole a bow and arrow from a local hunting supply store. He got to New Orleans on an old bobber his father had fixed about a year before he passed. He sold it to a pre-owned vehicle shop for two grand. Living alone for years was difficult but worthwhile. He made a friend, Elijah, a local from New Orleans who helped Floyd get settled. It wasn't long before Elijah moved to Houston, the big city, and resumed a life with his pharmacist of a girlfriend. She had cheated on her five year relationship to be with him. "Freaken wh*re." Anyhow, once the breakout occurred, it seemed that the traffic of the cities moved into the woods. Walkers roamed the countryside as if it were the big city. Floyd had no option but to move on, scattering what he could and entering the dead zone, which was the city of New Orleans.

Shannon Green = Atomyk

Name : Shannon Greene
Age : 22
Appearance : She's a bit tall and slender for her age. She's about average weight for her height though, and she's got slightly toned legs/upper body through a regular workout she has. Most apparent about Shannon is her thick blond hair. This is largely from her mother, though a touch of her father's brown wavy hair can be seen in the color of her own. Unlike her mother, who wears her hair far past her shoulders, Shannon chooses to keep her hair at shoulder length, or not much further beyond that. Her skin is rather pale and she tends to burn rather than tan when exposed to the sun. She has green eyes that are specked with brown, but aren't particularly striking in much way.
Skill : Shannon likes to be athletic, and runs almost every day. She loves to look her best, and almost always eats healthy. She's also big into fashion, hoping to be a designer when she is older. Shannon is very good with her hands and has a good sense of technology/machinery. Her father always kept her informed of the kind of trinkets she worked with, and Shannon would often become pretty interested in his work.
Weapons: - Knife (No serrated edge)

Personality : Shannon has been described as "Perky and optimistic", which is quite the contrast when compared to her surly best friend, Danny. She has a sunny disposition most of the time, and tends to bottle her negative emotions away. It's because of this that Shannon isn't a big fan of drama. When people don't get along, it tends to get on her nerves. This is most apparent with her friend, Danny, who is a bit too surly sometimes for her liking. With most people, Shannon is perhaps a bit too agreeable, willing to stop what she is doing to go along with what she believes will make someone happy. The only person she tends to disagree with is Danny. Shannon fears not being important to anybody. She has a strong desire to be on good terms with people.
After the apocalypse started and Shannon found herself separated from everyone she cared about, her personality took a hit. The sunny disposition she was known for was now buried under some heavy sadness and hopelessness.
Bio : Shannon was an only child, born to two parents who never desired to have more than one child. Her father worked as a mechanic for as long as Shannon could remember, and her mom had always been in and out of waitress jobs. She stayed familiar with her parent's work, developing an interest in machines and technology from her father. When Shannon was in grade school, she met Daniel Heidecker, who she would always poke fun at. It wasn't until they were almost in high school that they became close. Danny was a bit less grumpy when he was younger and more accepting of the bubbly kind of person Shannon was. She liked to smile, always liked to smile. Her cheerful demeanor tended to rub off on her friends (even Danny, occasionally). Danny quickly became her closest friend, visiting her and hanging out with her whenever he could get a spare moment. However, Danny eventually became more closed off from others as time went on, and soon Shannon and her family were the few people he associated with. When Danny became estranged from his own family, he went to live with Shannon and her family. After high school, the pair moved to a different state to live with Shannon's pen-pal, Monica.
When the apocalypse started, Shannon lost her sometimes-kind-of boyfriend Brandon in the initial aftermath and she was forced to separate from her friend Monica. While attempting to get back to her parents, Shannon found herself separated from Danny as well. This greatly affected Shannon, who lost hope in getting in contact with her family. She's fallen in and out with various groups since then.

Aleck and Gwen Wyrde = riprofsuls

Quiet Berserker - When the fighting needs to be fought he fights to kill. He is so focused that he doesn't make a single sound as he hacks and slashes away at his enemies.

Housewife - They were alone growing up, their parents both had very busy office jobs, in turn Gwen became, in a way, Aleck's mother. Thus she learned to cook, clean, and the all important fussing. She's good at keeping track of inventory and has a grade A mathematician mind.

Hand and a Half Sword - (I have one, pretty cheap and it is combat durable)
Father's Dual Colt Pythons - Due to being an heirloom his father kept the guns in a glass case and only had the display's twenty rounds plus the five in the revolver.

None - has a dislike for blood and violence.
Personality :
Aleck: ADHD and psychologically different. His morals and ideals are not average, he was born with a lack of emotional strength in the sense that his emotions are weak, while he may show surface emotion deep down he's always bored unless he is doing something he considers extremely enjoyable. His sister is his moral anchor, everything he considers to be right and wrong revolve around her, meaning that if she approves of something he is fine with it if she isn't then he will consider it a "bad" thing for values of her displeasure.
Gwen: She has a strong motherly instinct, though Aleck is not her real brother they were together since before either had permanent memory, it is their close upbringing and his reliance on her that developed her maturity and motherly nature. Though Aleck can be mature, strong, and very intelligent he is by nature a child at heart in her eyes. He always has a goofy grin that makes him look like a troublemaker child and she often has to scold him.
Brief Bio :
Aleck and Gwen are not real siblings, they were both adopted into the family so neither is even related to their "parents". They were both at home when things went down the crapper. They bunkered down and survived the initial first month when things were real bad but after a whole things started to cool down and Aleck began venturing out to find food and other essentials.

Weapon: A steel baseball bat and a pistol.
Personality: Brandon can be social, he also comes up with good ideas, and he supports others. But he can become anger so easy when you do something dumb,likes to be by his self sometimes, and doesn't keep his mouth shut.
Brief Bio: He was born in California and moved after finishing college. Before the outbreak, he was repairing people's houses getting it ready for the summer. He has been by his self since the outbreaks and moves from safehouse to safehouse.

Emma Crowe - OutlawedPanda

Appearance : She has curly, Brown hair, brown eyes, she's rather thin, but not like annorexic. She's 5'2, and she has moderately pale skin

Age : 14
Skill : She was formerly a gymnast and she had a hobby of doing things like parkour.
Weapons: Just a simple knife, but she can easily outrun the walkers/zombies(Whatever you preffer to reffer to them as)
Personality : Emma is very compassionate and she is quick to forgive. She can be stubborn, and she is almost too-trusting
Brief Bio : Prior to the outbreak, Emma was a very much into gymnastics and free running. Her mother died four years before the outbreak, and her dead went with the first wave of Walkers. Not being very good at moving on, she often feels hopeless and helpless against the world. She believes that since the apocalyptic world could take someone as strong as her dad, she feels very doubtful about her chances of survival.

The Walking Dead : Among the Ruined

ALWAYS ACCEPTING
When hell gets full, the Devil lets the dead walk the earth...

So this is a walking dead style rp. There will be action and gore and zombie killing, but mostly this will be about the twists and turns, the drama, the heartache and the joy of moral decisions that have both good and bad consequences.
Everything you do and say will have consequences further down the line. The walker you killed yesterday was actually the mother of the person you met today. That guy you refused to give food? He came back as a walker and killed your best friend. That little boy you helped? He came back with a large group to steal your supplies. Each choice is life and death. Don't ever get too comfortable, because you never know when things will go to hell.
Of course... it's already there...

Rules :
1. No fighting in the OOC. I mean it. You get one warning, then your characters gets killed off and you are banned from the rp.
2. No overpowered characters. It's okay to have weapons, but not everyone is survival trained and can make a rocket launcher with a pocket knife, some string and a potato. Be realistic with your characters skills and their weapons.
3. Gore is fine, but romance (if there is any during a zombie apocalypse) goes to PM. Anything above kissing goes to PM.
4. Killing of characters must be agreed upon.
5. Before making any game changing decisions please pm me to ask or discuss it in the OOC before posting it. This does not mean I need to make every decision for you, but MAJOR plot twists need to be approved by either me or my Co-GM(s).
6. You can have as many characters as you can handle. Do not ignore anyone and post regularly. If you can't post for a couple of days, let us know so we can move around your character. If you do not post in the IC or OOC or PM me for four days straight your character will be killed and become a walker. If you want to return after that, you can make another character.
7. People will die. It's a zombie survival rp. If I PM you about your character dying please do not be upset. I am not picking on you or singling you out for any other reason then to add drama and keep the story random and interesting. You can always make another character, but if you are dead set on keeping you character alive I will not kill them without your consent.
8. It might seem strange to have this rule but I have run into problems with this in the past so I am going to say it right off : NO ONE IS IMMUNE. This is not "The Last of Us" this is a "The Walking Dead" rp. There is no cure and there is no immunity to the zombie virus. Everyone already has it. Your character can be working on a cure, but that is all.
9. I reserve the right to add more rules if needed.

Anyone who wants to Co-GM this with me just let me know in the OOC or PM me. First come first serve. Depending on how many people join I might have one or two Co-GMs that I will discuss everything with.
I am in this for the long-haul, so I ask you to please not join unless you plan on being in this for a while and will contribute to the story. I have seen too many good rps die from people joining and never posting.
