oh okay, sorry bee, didn't realize you were talking to Ayame. I am working on replies now. :) I was babysitting my cousins earlier and couldn't reply.
No insta-kills. All kills must be discussed and agreed upon by everyone.
I'm sorry Hakara but this rp has been closed to new characters. We have a lot of people now. But if people lose interest and drop out I will open it up again for new characters.
Ayame heard a commotion coming from the riverside but didn't want any part of it. She was still shaking from seeing the headless body of a woman she had known being dragged away and likely consumed.
She cautiously made her way back towards the village. They were hoping to have the first of the warriors that had sent for arrive before nightfall. Everyone in the village was supposed to dress in their best clothes and prepare a banquet of their best food. Ayame had been ordered by her grandfather, as one of the village's prettiest young women, to smile and parade around like peacocks.
It made her ill to think about it.

Ayame had been engaged at one time, but he had died in the war. She hadn't been too upset, she hadn't known him that well. He had been the son of an elder in another village. She supposed that made her a terrible person, but how were you supposed to mourn a person you had only met once?

Holding her basket tightly, ready to throw if needed, Ayame moved cautiously up the path towards the village.
why can't we post?

Ten years ago the Shogun divided his kingdom between his two sons. He was hardly cold in his grave when the brothers hatred and jealousy of each other drove them to war. They were evenly matched for years, but now one brother has made a move that has tipped the scales in his favor.
May the Gods help all of us...

The young woman listened carefully. She was nearly finished gathering the herbs her grandfather needed. But even something as simple as gathering was more dangerous now.
A twig snapped had her breath catching and she looked around. The riverside was silent. There should have been birds chirping, animals running around, even a breeze blowing, but there was nothing.
That silence was what scared her the most.
Grabbing her basket, she hurried back towards the village. Not that the village would keep demons from attacking, they attacked regularly, but being around other people made her feel better. Especially her grandfather. He was so old and had seen so much that very little scared him.

A bunch of birds suddenly took off from a tree nearby, breaking the silence. Something had startled them.
Ayame didn't wait to see what it was, she hid in some tall grass and waited, holding her breath.

A scream made her close her eyes and cover her ears. Another attack. A middle aged woman from the village had been washing clothes in the river, Ayame had seen her on her way to the field where she picked her herbs.
Ayame opened them long enough to see the woman's body being dragged away. It was missing it's head.
She covered her mouth to keep from screaming or throwing up. The metallic smell of blood was in the air.

Usually the demons waited until nightfall to attack. This attack during the day, it meant things were getting even worse. Standing, she slowly picked up her basket and took a deep breath. She would have to tell the woman's family that she was gone. The village was mostly women, children and old men. All able-bodied men were sent to fight in the war. They had petitioned their ruler to return the men to the village to protect their families, but he had refused. So the village had taken matters into their own hands. The village elders, which her grandfather was one of as the village healer, had sent out messages across the land, a call for warriors to come and defend them from the demons. They would pay whatever they desired. They weren't a wealthy village, but they would find a way somehow.
okay I am currently drunk and on a high from watching the series finale of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. Seems like the prefect combo to get an IC written, don't you agree :)
Lynn - Underground - Tyler, walker

Special? She wondered if even that was true.
And, predictably, the little boy lost his temper.

The walker lunged at her, but she was able to dodge. The three guys backed away as the walker came after her. She obviously hadn't been that special if he was going to let her die like this. Maybe he would let her be turned then keep her as a pet. That picture made her more ill then the walker's breath.
It lunged at her again she fell back and used it's momentum to flip it over and off of her. She scrambled to her feet and tried to put distance between her and the undead creature. It lost her for a moment but soon spotted her again. It snarled and came after her. Lynn ran towards it and dropped down, kicking outward. The walker flew back and slammed into the side of the arena.

With no weapon it was going to be hard to kill it and as soon as she did Tyler would just release another. She hoped he would get tired of this before she ran out of stamina. Already she was feeling it from the tazering he had given her earlier. Her body was sore and her vision was a little tunnel-y. Lynn shook her head to clear it as the walker came after her again.
"They never learn," she commented as she dodged and used her elbow to hit the back of it's head, sending it crashing into one of the men who shouted in surprise and jabbed his knife into it's eye in reflex.
Lynn smiled. Tyler had actually been the one to teach her to use what was around her. She didn't have any weapons, but the guys in the arena did...
no I just forgot
I'm sorry
