Name: Maia Dayanira

Age: 16

Role in school: Student

Class: Swordsmanship/ Hand-to-hand combat

Race: Vampire

Backstory: Maia was only 4 when her home burned down. Something happened during the fire that caused her to go blind, so she's been sighless ever since. Because of her experience with fire, she's extremely afraid of it, she stays away from magic because of this. Though she is a vampire, she doesn't like to drink blood, but sometimes when she's weak or sick it helps her. She never wanted to be a vampire and almost wishes she was human.

Personality: Very timid and shy of others, she often keeps to herself, not easy to trust anyone. Since she's blind she's always cautious and careful, however she does trip over things a lot, giving her a clumsy appearance to the public. Deep down inside she can be kind and if she does open up to you she must really trust you. The few friends she has, if any, she keeps close and would sacrifice anything to keep them safe.

Special Traits and abilities: Though she's blind, she has very keen senses: hearing, feeling, smelling, etc. she has learned how to make use of these senses and adapt to her disability of being unable to see. Being half vampire also helps her keen senses and agility in combat.

Family in school: none, but I might make one

Weapon of choice: she often uses hand-to-hand combat in fights but will use anything around her she deems useful. She prefers daggers or swords as her weapon of choice. Anything small and light, easy to move and feel as more of an extension of herself rather than a heavy metal object to swing at her opponent and inflict massive damage.
