How about this. Can we say that a latern ring trumps my power? So basically a latern ring is so strong, that my powers will not affect it and will instead shut down? So while wearing a latern ring, I lose all my override powers. Cause this is starting to get confusing.

I don't think so. In the case of the rings I'm pretty sure they only work when used by the chosen holder of the specific ring. In most cases it's more the users will then the tech of the ring which allows it's use. So I think we should move away from that. Beside it would need to link with your mind and probably end up self destructing.

On the bright side, I don't have to worry about being affected by black power ring turning me into a zombie.

Another question. As far as I understand, Latern rings are a type of technology with a built in computer/A.I. Could my character take over one of these rings if I touch it? If the answer is Yes, how strong would my powers be? I assume weakend but would still have full control. I just want to clear up these questions before/if they happen in the rp.
