Good sir, I applaud you. Definitely accepted!
It all checks out! Very original and I like it!
Wing the race by me, though i'm sure in all likelihood it'll be fine.
Bumpiddy bump. We need people. :)
I'm certainly hoping. I'm just going to keep telling myself that people are making CS' before posting. But yeah, I look forward to reading your sheet!

Is it based on the Futurama Dark Matter Drive? :D

As much as i'd love to say yes, it's not based on it, but it does work on the same principle of moving the universe around the ship instead of propelling the ship through the universe
Yes, that.
God, I love Alcubierre's drive. Though technically, you're not moving at all.
As fast as the amount of energy you put into it. Given we're looking at 1000 or so years int the future, we will be able to dump a fair bit of power into them. I can't give an exact figure, but it'll be somewhere in the realm of: a lightyear every few seconds at standard output.
There's no organised jump gates, not after the Empire was not around to fund and maintain them. There are some wormhole networks that have documented routes, like in the case of Starfall, but there are few. Inter-system travel is achieved through said Alcubierre's drive on ships that are fitted with such.

Gotta ask. What kind of FTL travel do peeps use?

Alcubierre's drive engines, though other methods would technically be possible for more advanced races. But thats the standard.
