Derek woke up to the annoying beeping of his alarm clock. He rolled over hitting the snooze button, he had hit the alarm clock a little too hard, smashing it into a pile of plastic pieces. "Crap" Derek sat up and rubbed his face with his hands. Derek slowly got dressed putting on a white t shirt and some blue jeans. He brushed his teeth and tried to fix his bed head. Derek stared at himself in the mirror, "Don't freak out today, freak." he said to himself. That was something his foster sister used to say to him. Derek grabbed his black leather jacket and headed downstairs where his mom was waiting for him. "Bye mom" Derek gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Be careful" his adoptive mother warned. "I'll try" Derek slipped on some shoes and went outside. He took a deep breath and smiled, fresh air. Derek hopped on his
motorcycle and arrived at school in a couple of minutes. Derek took off his helmet and sat in the parking lot, observing.
