Starry nodded. He opened the door and took a look around, noting a women in a black garb passing by the house. He quickly closed the door, leaning his back against it to talk to Artemis.
"Yes, except no. We aren't leaving the city easily. We will have to fight our way out. I hope you aren't offended if i say to leave most the fighting to me." The Vagabond prepared himself, throwing his hood up, tightening his gauntlets. He dramatically (and unnecessarily) pulls the rags off his staff, revealing a long gold pole, with markings up and down the sides in a strange language. He pulls open his bag only to have small iron balls and knives fly out and float around him. He took out an orb, whose rags he left on, but he attached to the end of his relic. He nodded to Artemis. "I hope you're ready. Stay close to me, within my range." Starry turns to the door, lifting and dramatically kicking the door. It refused to budge. He kicks it a second time, hard enough to actually make it open. He steps outside, waving for Artemis to follow.
Starry frowned, jumping up to wrap his mask around his face again. He quickly stepped forward to the window to look outside, noticing chaos began to erupt through the town. He made a sort of growling noise. Turning to Artemis, he began to float the papers around the room, attempting to stack them so Artemis could move them easier.
"This town has become much more dangerous. If this group attacking the city has any interest in relics at all, they will wreck this house, along with all the information we need."
He put his hand on Artemis' shoulder.
"We need to take with us everything we can, anything we cant hold we must destroy." He said with a solemn tone. "If you can save the oldest records we have, the newer ones might be found elsewhere."
sorry me and chuckkle held up the fun invasion i was just a bit behind everyone else
Starry smiled. This was proving to be exactly the man he needed.
"Now, for what i need, i hope you don't mind me starting with a little story..." He smiled, pulling up a chair to sit down nest to him, pulling his hood back to reveal short brown hair adorned with very clear grey hairs. His face clearly had some wrinkles and scars, the face of a man with experience, a man tired. Yet his eyes still glowed. He laid back a bit, almost making a statement with making himself at home. He gave a nod to Artemis. "You are well versed in relic lore, with what little there is that is understood."
The vagabond leaned forward, taking off his face wrap that normally covered his mouth.
"I assume you have heard of the story. 'The First Relic and the Last Evoker'? It's really a classic among the kids."

Childrens stories are famous for starting epic adventures

It's hard to tell with your character sometimes...But that would make me happy.

Making Starry an over-dramatic dork is fun
adds a bit of humanity to the charactor, imo

All Bark, that last line is again seeming like a metagame. But I'll let it slide again on the basis that your character is convinced evokers are destined to meet.

I thought i had him think before that someone with that much info on evokers would have a relic
also i legit dont remember anything about his relic
ill try to avoid metagaming in the future
if i meet a average guy he will insist their bread is a relic
The Vagabond smiled as he let himself in. He assisted the man in picking up some of the papers as he spoke.
"Not very many, no. I am a lucky exception." He Briefly looked outside to make sure no one was overhearing their conversation, nodding as Artemis talked.
"I do apologize if i restrain my information, as the city we are in does not take kindly to men like us." He was weary of telling him what his relic was, but he decided to show him its power. He bent the laws of gravity within the room, allowing stacks of paper to begin to float up, but keeping himself and the man on the floor.
"The power of gravity is at my command within my range." He stepped closer to Artemis. "You posses a relic, i assume? If we are showing our cards now we must trust each other..."

Lol yeah same here. Before the site went down I used to be in a rp about magic users vs humans, it usually took me about 50 pages every day just to catch up, after which I still had to write a response. At some point I just quit since it became to much to handle combined with school. This rp is currently really handable in my opinion, but of course I don't have to work or do schoolwork at the moment so that's an easy thing for me to say :'D

Yeah i have school right around the time everyone posts so i feel like i miss a lot

I read books, I assume we all do, so I never had a problem keeping up with an IC. Hell, when I join a started RP I've read up to 60 pages of IC just to catch up.Do you want your current post to stand? Or do you want to talk to Marastus Kane?

His talk with either of them would be simler so i'm going to talk to artemis
since i'm already there

The idea i have works with any relic expert so
i might end up talking to all of them
