Shayre held his head still, not moving as he tried to asses the situation.
For some reason he didn't quite understand, the girl had made him rest his head on her lap, murmering something about it helping. How this was supposed to help him, he didn't know. Perhaps it was to stabilize his head? Part of him wanted to make a joke about his current position, but he realized that he didn't know the girl that well, and he was afraid an offcolored joke wouldn't fall well with her.
Looking around him, he started feeling slightly uncomfortable. Something about the leaves, the sun, the sounds around him... It made him feel uneasy, and a part of him knew they shouldn't be there. Slowly he forced himself to sit up, keeping his head as still as possible.
"We should get out of here... It's dangerous."
He frowned, trying to think of a reason to give her beyond 'I get the creeps from ths place'. It was then that a bush with darkgreen leaves caught his attention. For some reason its veins gave off a tiny amount of light, not enough to iluminate things around it, but contrasting heavily with the otherwise dark leaves. The light wasn't what caught his attention however. There it was again, a light rustle in the leaves, like someone or something shifting its weight behind it. Shayre slowly raised his hands, not wanting to alert whatever was behind the bush, but getting ready to defend himself and the strange girl.
Who was he kidding. If there was a dangerous animal behind there, there was not much he could do with his pounding head and empty hands.
He gestured for the girl to get behind him. Then, with a soft voice that he made sure didn't sound threatening nor scared he started talking, hoping against all odds that it was simply another mysterious person.
"Hey there... I know you are behind these bushes."
He took one step forwards, at the same time getting closer to whatever it was and getting between it and the still nameless girl.
"We won't harm you... Unless you are some murderous animal out to kill us."
He nervously licked his lips, uncertain what to do next. He was about to tell the blonde girl to get away when he heard the scream of a person in pain.
He cursed his luck. Was it a person getting attacked? Leaning on trees and bushes he made his way towards the source.
Taya felt a knot untangle inside of her stomach when she recognized the voice. Samuel... At least it wasn't Mathias. Hearing his words the knot returned however, and she heard her voice falter slightly as she continued.
"I know, I- I'm sorry... How are you?"
She rested her forehead against the cool wall, realizing suddenly how much she missed them all. A year... It was an entire year ago.
"How are the others?"
You are free to do that, but keep in mind that the most interesting plants/animals will be location bound
And I like the idea of many things being two sided, with everything being dangerous if used wrong, but potentially very useful if used right.
For example the sleep fruits would make a great aneastasiac (or however that is spelled) if you pick the fruits and take them somewhere safe (all they do is put you to sleep and mark you for the birds)

I added a very simple form (that is the exact same Varionus used). If you want to make a creation official you can use this form. It would be best if you added whether you want this thing/animal/plant to grow/live/whatever on different places as well.

Using any of the extra features (map, creature database, etc) is entirely optional, but encouraged :P
lol I'm very bad at explaining things, especially in english
"Being eloquent is having the ability to project words fluidly out of the mouth and the ability to understand and command the language in such a way that one employs a graceful style coupled with the power of persuasion, or just being extremely graceful in the interpretation of communication." - Sir F.E. Wikipedia

All of which red=dead is not :p
Just think of animals or plants or whatever, that could exist on this world or already do, then add a slight bit of fantasy
Examples:

  • Fruit that makes you fall asleep when you eat it, after which the cute birdlike things that were singing in its branches come down and slowly bite you to death so the tree can use your body as compost (except that a nearby berry bush has berries that keep you awake, so if you ate those you are fine)

  • Sabertoothed black panthers that can camouflage so well in the dark that nobody can see them.

  • Crocodiles who can climb trees

  • Birds who hypnotize you with their songs

  • Incredibly soft trees with sappy fruit (they are soft like that because the creatures that sleep against them will defend the tree from some mean herbivore) (I dont know be creative)

Shayre woke up from someone shaking him by his shoulders. Or rather, he woke up from the pain the movement caused him. He whispered something under his breath as he looked up to the person kneeling next to him. It was a girl, with long blonde hair. She looked awfully concerned.
Looking up at her face, and after that, around him, a million questions came to mind. After struggling with his dried up tongue he managed to ask one of them that seemed particularly important right now.
"Who are you?"
He tried to get up, feeling a stinging pain in his head as he moved. Perhaps that was the reason why the girl seemed so worried.
"Am I hurt?"
No wait, that was a weird question. He was hurt, he could feel that. He should probably have asked if it looked serious. It felt like he had some kind of wound on his head, and judging on the pounding element of the pain it wasn't a scrape.
Frowning while looking around, he decided that there was one more question that should be asked.
"And while we're at it... Where am I?"
I know, isn't it a wonderous place I thought up for you guys <3

Also, the new guys are accepted. Choose a location on the map wherever you like (just understand that red = dead, yes I'm eloquent like that today)
Nah theyre at the border of the dangerous part. They just have to get away from there.
Besides the other areas have dangerous animals as well, and poisonous plants, and fumes, and strange water that becomes poisonous because of the plants growing in them upstream... You name it
Taya was slowly walking on the sidewalk, listening in on conversations of people around her. It was a small vice she had started back when she was still a hunter, a way to find the rumors and small signs that nobody else would get. A man and a woman were arguing, but it was pretty clear that the reason was as petty as their argument. Two boys were arguing as well, and though their conversation didn't appear to be related to any supernatural activity, it got her attention non the less.
"All I'm saying is that he isn't a hero!" The blackhaired kid gestured wildly to support his words.
"What do you mean he's not a hero? He tried to fight of all these monsters on his own... It's not his fault number 189 defeated him!" The ginger boy seemed perplexed with the words of his friend, convinced as he was that he was right.
"And why did he fight all those monsters alone? He had a perfectly fine team waiting to help him, he screwed up cause he was too proud to ask for help! He killed those people by trying to deal with it alone!"
If the other boy had a good answer to that, she wouldn't have been able to hear it, as the boys were too far away now. How poetic. The distressed heroine walks over the street and hears a conversation that fits her situation exactly. If this had been a movie she would have called bullshit right this moment.
Guess situations like that aren't that far besides the truth then.
Pridefull... Well that described her pretty well. She grinned for a while, then sighed when she reached into her pocket to get her mobile phone.
Call or text...
Guess it wouldn't hurt to call.
"Hello? It's me... Taya. I eh- I might need some help..."
