And I am imagining the couch yellow.
The fingertips of Lilith’s right hand danced gracefully up her left arm before resting over her heart, a dramatic sigh parting her perfectly red lips. She tried to play up the sense of relief in her eyes but the fox knew the emotion read disingenuous to her companion. He had proven himself to be far from a fool and such emotion was ill-fitting to the creature sitting across from him. Still, the only person Lilith really needed to convince was the innkeeper, that that old woman was eagerly eating up whatever they offered her. What a dreadful existence she must lead to revel in such trivial affairs. The kumiho didn’t have much time to continue her train of thought as Aleks stood and asked to head to her room. The request struck her like a cold glass of water and, for a split second, it showed on her face. Wide eyed, she stared at his outstretched hand and imagined how the young man would react to her modest room. Trying her best to recover, Lilith ducked her head as if hiding an embarrassed blush. Still refusing to meet his gaze, she gently placed her hand in his and murmured his name, “Oh, Aleks…”
The delivery was perfect. His name rolled off her tongue like a demure confession and the old innkeeper couldn’t help but swoon at the sound of it. The girl was clearly smitten with the young man and she could barely stand the thought of what was going to happen once those two were alone. Everything they did, everything they said, was just so… sensual. The energy that flowed off the couple was enthralling and the woman found herself hoping the young vixen would be staying at the hotel indefinitely. It was hard to believe such perfect and beautiful people existed and yet, here they were in her humble hotel lobby. It appeared Roza would have something to tell to the ladies at book club after all.
Lilith felt a jolt of electricity shoot up her arm as their hands touched and her spine tingled with the desire to pull away. Even so, she allowed him to delicately pull her from the chair, swallowing hard as they now stood close enough for her to get a strong intake of his heady scent. The pair remained still for a bit too long, the fox forgetting that she needed to lead the way as her head swam with a mixture of thoughts. A gentle nudge from Aleks re-centered the woman, her gaze finally meeting his azure eyes. Someone less astute than the young mafia member might have missed it but a gentle flush began to dust Lilith’s cheeks before she could turn and lead him a bit too briskly towards the stairs.

Lilith had been afraid Aleks would bring up her blunder downstairs but it seemed, for the moment, he was too shocked by her room to ask about it. He lingered in the entryway a moment, clearly trying to remain calm as he took everything in. The place was dark and unbearably 70’s. The walls, carpet, and furniture were all some shade of brown, orange, or yellow. The thick curtains were drawn shut, not allowing any light to permeate the dismal space. Flicking on a few geometric table lamps, the kumiho laughed lightly at his comment.
“It serves its purpose.” She strutted over to the mustard yellow bed and sat down, leaning back on her hands. She assumed Aleks would sit on the couch at the far end of the room and wanted to maintain her distance, lest he try and touch her again so soon. Crossing her legs, she smirked and tacked on, “Besides, it’s good motivation for me to get out more.”
Obviously wanting to change the subject to something more comfortable, Aleks unceremoniously tossed a ‘present’ on the table, forcing Lilith to get up and retrieve it. She almost quipped that she was not a dog but bit her tongue instead. No doubt this was another attempt to rile her up. Silently praising herself for learning to recognize one of his tricks, the fox sat back down and opened the envelope, brow furrowed in confusion when she found a bracelet inside. No doubt it was expensive, the diamonds catching what little light was in the room and dazzling proudly as she gently rolled the piece between her fingers. Aleks waited until Lilith looked up at him with a questioning glance before speaking, “Allow me to elaborate.”
The fox spirit only gave half her attention as the young man spoke, waiting for him to get to the point. The condescending praise and half-hearted apology failed to rile her petulant nature but his quick scan of her body did not. She immediately prickled under his gaze and shot him a harsh stare. Her scowl went unacknowledged as Aleks continued to explain the plan, causing Lilith to glower further. This human had an iron will. Lilith… not so much.
Her face relaxed the moment she heard Aleks would be present this time around. She was surprised and her brows raised slightly in disbelief. She had pinned the young man as someone who would gladly let someone else do his dirty work with little to no direct involvement. It seemed Aleks would forever be full of surprises. Lilith couldn’t help but muse over how foolish someone was to get on his bad side and was silently glad to be part of his calculated revenge.
Smiling softly in approval, the kumiho shook her head, “No, I think I’ve got it. Tomorrow I get to wear a fancy dress and strut around like some prize you’ve won until it’s time to rip out the throat of every pig who looked at me like I was the lesser creature.” She tilted her head to gaze at the diamond bracelet now on her wrist and smiled wider, “Although…” Lilith looked up at Aleks with a sidelong glance, “Are you sure you’re prepared for what’s going to take place in that house?”
Lilith couldn’t deny that she hoped he would be squeamish. The thought of him finally understanding what she was, what she was capable of, and fearing her for it delighted her to no end. But something told the golden-eyed vixen that her appetite for mischief and adoration would not be so easily sated. Not with this one.

ERH MEH GURD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best surprise over the internet EVER! Thanks for getting it done even though I know you've been super busy. I really appreciate it. ^-^ And delightful as always! Now I just need to decide how Lili reacts. I don't know if she'd be more embarrassed by her living conditions or pleased that her hotel room makes Aleks uncomfortable. lol So I guess you can anxiously await my decision about that! XD I'll try not to keep you waiting for months. :s

If it doesn't involve making yourself look good or plotting the downfall of a long-lived and wide-spread crime syndicate, it's hardly worth his time or mental capacity. He's a well-dressed man on a mission, he doesn't have time for grudge matches or stubborn defiance and he certainly doesn't have time to be looking for appropriate silverware. XD
Nope, I feel you know the scene well enough. If you want to relocate the characters to avoid the nosy old lady, feel free to. Lilith would follow without making a scene. And if you want them to go up to her room, you're welcome to describe it or leave it to me. But if you go that route, Lilith's hotel room is modest and outdated- I'm thinking 70's browny-orange carpet type decor. It's clean and well maintained just... very unstylish. Basically the opposite of Aleks' place. Ha ha

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! Oh Blue Eyes, that's why I suggested she go in as a prostitute hopeful (never thought that'd be a term I'd use lmao). XD I was trying to think of the easiest way to include females and figured, sadly, prostitution is the most likely area you'd find multiple women in the Bratva. There is one hiccup I've identified in this idea but I think I have it worked out. Since you're up to post, I figured we should have it hammered out what Aleks is going to tell Lilith about the next mission. Unfortunately, it can't be too straight forward because if Aleks said it was about prostitution 1.) Lilith would probably give him an earful about how revolting his plan is and, more importantly, 2.) Lilith would know off the bat women would be involved and she'd tell Aleks it wouldn't satisfy her needs and refuse to go (stubborn brat XD). So I'm thinking Aleks could tell her it's supposed to be an invite-only house party. Very hush-hush so there will be a controlled number of people and most of the people will be drinking and/or on drugs so their guards will be down. Now, this could be a lie just to avoid Lilith's outburst or, what I'm thinking, is it could be the truth. However, this little house party happens to be some cocky douche-nugget's attempt at looking cool. He's a low (and relatively new) member of Bratva but he wants to show off to his old friends. So he recruited some of the prostitutes and invited a couple of his old friends to impress them with the company he's now keeping. If you wanted to include the sibling of an intermediary member, either McDouche-Nugget himself could be the younger brother or we could have him dating the younger sister.
It would work well, though. It would be a controlled group, as stated before, but it could also potentially remove a thorn from Aleks' side. Undoubtedly, Aleks would frown upon Mr. McDouche-Nugget and wouldn't mind no longer having to work with him, either indirectly or not. Ha ha ha He's just too classy to want to be associated with trash like that. And it wouldn't be surprising for Aleks to not know exactly who would be at the party since it would be "surprising" he knew about it at all. I say "surprising" because he has no reason to know about it but since he's Aleks, of course he's caught wind of it. XD

Okie dokie! Can do. :) Are there any parameters for the victims? Like, do you have any idea who they should be in the Bratva? Maybe just some random lower-intermediate level members to cause tension without causing any serious problems? I'll probably need help with knowing why the members are meeting and why Lilith will be joining them (funny, cause that is yours/ Aleks' job, afterall. ha ha). Perhaps Lilith goes in posing as a woman who wants to become a prostitute? >.> I dunno, I'm clearly bad at this.

Awesome! I'm glad we figured something out. ^-^ So I guess we'll go with that, then. I know last time you gave me very basic character descriptions and let me go wild with the murder scene, did you want to do that again or do you want to just give me a few parameters and have me come up with the victims? I can do it either way, just depends on how much free time you have and whatnot. HA. I say that as if I have much free time to spare. :P
And I'm totally down for time-skips. :) As we've both more or less stated, we can't really afford to have a slow plot when the RP is going to be moving at a slow pace. To wait months for a post where nothing stimulating happens is a great way for us to lose interest and let it die for good. That's something I certainly don't want to happen. Plus, we have lots of great ideas for arcs but they'd be a little ridiculous to happen back to back. But it'd also be pretty ridiculous to play out every little mission between story arcs. This isn't Naruto, we don't need fillers. XD
Oh gosh, I would love for Lilith to go to a banquet with Aleks. How sad his life must be if he can't find a better (or at least better behaved) option than her. Ha ha ha It seems like he'd be more careful than that, usually. So we should probably have a reason for it. Like Aleks finds out there's a hit out for him or something so he wants an inconspicuous body guard. Or we could include that in the supernatural hunter arc. Lilith is the one that needs protection. Oooh, that could work nicely, actually. She goes with him, something triggers a slaughter then and there, Aleks has the shock and panic of them almost getting caught, and then right when that fiasco starts to seem like it's coming together, the hunter shows up, drawn by the commotion. Then Aleks gets to step up and be the bad ass protector that is making me swoon just to think about. @_@ I mean, it isn't for any romantic sentiments and is simply because Lilith is a useful tool but still, that is a form of attachment to her which is enough to make me giddy. And that'll be a huge turning point for their relationship. Lilith will almost fully trust Aleks at that point and as a result, will become fiercely protective of him.
Oh gosh, the more I think about it, the better it gets. Lilith choosing to trust Aleks means when he fails to deliver at a rate that satisfies her, she'll feel a sense of betrayal on top of her impatience and frustration. Which is good character motivation for her to start becoming threatening and stalkerish. They had a deal and he managed to sneak under her skin despite all her walls and defenses. That's really gonna burn her up. But rather than be angry at herself for being foolish and trusting a man like him so easily, she's going to do the impetuous thing and take it out on him. Lol God I love these characters. <3 They are the most frustrating not couple couple ever. Ha ha ha I just want to see them together forever even though I still don't know if this story is going to have romance, let alone a happy ending. XD

So, still trying to think of ideas for the next arc. Since we are going to be posting at a much slower pace, maybe it would be alright if we moved the story along a little faster. It'd help keep our interest. Like, we could try out the "the target is homosexual so Aleks has to step in" idea we had. I'd initially think it's too soon for that but... if we'll already be waiting months at a time for a post, it might as well be damn interesting and not wait for so much buildup. But since you wanted the target to be in the Bratva, I don't think we can do that this arc. It would draw way too much attention for Aleks to flirt with one of their own. Especially right before the guy ends up dying. Ugh, so that idea didn't help at all. lmao Okay, next one.
