"Very well," Marcus replied, "I tried my best Kotani, he's just to good for me." Marcus was aware of the aggravation from the way he looked. Reading his body language. He was uncertain that Kotani noticed it but figured that she probably could not recognize it. He didn't want to give up either though... His curiosity was being prodded at. "Wait a second... At answer me this, are you a mortal?" He asked Rorschach with a sudden realization.

Condesce said
"I'm sorry to interrupt you, but will you please make this person take off his mask?" Kotani asked her friend after sighing heavily.

Marcus stood up to take Rorschach's hand and shake it. After brushing himself off and listening to what Kotani asked he was a little bewildered.

"Uhh... Alrighty then." He replied to the girl, not sure why she'd ask that of him, but he figured he better just go along with it, "May you please take of your mask kind sir? Not sure why but I believe Miss Kotani here is curious to see what lies beneath, it certainly intrigues me as well... What do you hide?"

Marcus saw a glimmer of strawberry blonde hair out of the corner of his eye while talking with the small Jayce.

Looking over, he asked, "Kotani? What are you doing here? I thought you had to go back... Wait, did I sleep through the whole night?!" Suddenly realizing that his nap in meditation might have been a lot longer than he originally thought. He regained his cool immediately, "Huh," he said, "Guess I was a little tired from my journey here." He threw out a small smile and laughed.

It took a moment before realizing another peculiar person was approaching with an even more peculiar mask, "Wait... Who are you? If you don't mind my asking. I don't believe we've met yet."
