Blitzkrieg do you want our history to have any wars of note?

My current plans for my history is that Velos was just a city state akin to Greece though less civilized when the whole region was overtaken by a large empire akin to Rome. Eventually the empire decayed and fell with no small help from cities like Velos. The newly declared king of Velos married off his 3 sons to nearby cities and tribes and forged various alliances that he used to conquer the core of Courbonnais. From there Velos subjugated most of it's former allies using diplomatic and economic means forging a powerful kingdom before going forth and conquering smaller nearby nations and 2 major nations Molitar and Bardosi who were all incorporated into the growing empire. With almost all of Courbonnais now under the control of the current King of Velos he renamed the nation and declared himself the first emperor and declared ownership of the rest of the region.

A series of peasant revolts stymied the attempts to expand and afterwards the new emperor attempted a more peaceful government. This resulted in an era of economic and technologic growth building the first of the industry that began to dominate the economy of the nation today. Under his son's reign though they faced a near economic collapse that forced a massive reorganization of the government with power removed from the old nobility and a technocratic council formed. Later in his reign imperialism began to return to the forefront though now with aims towards economic imperialism as well. This caused some jealousy towards the navies of countries who already had strong navies with economic naval dominance. In recent years the navy has grown in size and strength under the last few emperors as well as outreaching diplomatically and economically while once more the government looks to finishing the conquest of the whole Courbonnais region as well as pushing east.

That just a rough draft kind of thing if anyone wants to have some history that would be great. I do not really have times nailed too much I more am thinking towards getting an order of events.

I started out kind of like the French Empire with a bit of Soviet war doctrine and developed from there.

So what year would you guys like tech to start off at? Technology progressed rather rapidly in that era so year is rather important. Any time from 1936-1945

My flag turned out nicely if I must say so myself. I wanted to work white in there somewhere but could not get it to work well.

by the way, you say this will be diesel/steampunk. Just how far are we going with this? Are we talking like steampunk or clockwark warmachines like small mechs and thick battle armor with clockwork enhancing strength or what?

How about we have had general disagreements for as long as anyone remembers? Due to geography, trade competition, and conflict of interest.

That works since we just have that see separating our land claims so we have constantly had little scuffles here and there like England and France. It is kind of funny that I am trying to find a name for my elite unit since I had planned to use Iron Guard but you are using that.
