Updated the front page with a nation list and the map at the bottom, the map i will update as people finalize nations. Open it in a new tab so you can zoom into see the lines as I need to redo the lines thicker than 1 pixel.

I have talked to some people so overall am going to be more lenient with things as some of my fears have been assuaged.

I'd need to track it down but I've been hearing Putin's popularity shot up in the 70% range in Russia. I think the basic idea is that he's showing a strong hand in "protecting Russians from the West".

It's been all over Russian news. Russian nationalists are still a big voting bloc in Russia, and by his current actions he is looking to control a direct line through Ukraine now into Eastern Europe now which would give Russia a bigger edge in gas exports which increased his popularity with businessmen in Russia as well. He is playing up the angle of protecting Russians speakers, ethnic Russians, and Russian Orthodox which is going over very well.

Alright so I have a basic map here now.



If anyone is not on the map tell me though I am pretty sure I have everyone given the current near fullness.

If there are any mistakes tell me as well please. I will likely be thickening the lines when I go back to fixing it naturally. For now this is pretty much a placeholder while map stuff gets sorted out.

I believe we have 3 people who have expressed interest but do not yet have claims.

I was afraid of that when I saw your flag had changed like that. Poland designed and fielded good model tanks just in few numbers. Poland is a bit higher up the food chain than I would like the nations in this RP to be. They are often written off militarily but when Germany annexed Poland they had an army nearly a million strong and almost a thousand tanks.

That is more than the UK fielded at the same time and with superior tank designs. Then after the war ended Poland quickly remilitarized back up to the 2nd largest military in Europe.

Higher end nations in this can expect to be more like Hungary than Poland you can produce some domestic models up stuff but it is not going to be higher end equipment.

Do not be afraid you will be underarmed though, at the beginning your military may not be impressive but at this time France had over 3,500 modern tanks. Without WWII kicking off and with WWI having not happened as a major conflict you can expect to be able to import equipment early on and as things move along in larger and larger numbers as the industrial bases of the major nations do not get damaged.

Legion I will liekly be asking you to reduce your claim, also I did a look at your military again and noticed one of the first comments was your tanks intending to be home-grown designs and this "the 25TP is capable of outstripping any other tank in service with exception to the KV series."

That means you are fielding the 2nd best tank in the world as a a nation that is maybe equivalent to Hungary at this time. You are not playing a major power, you are playing the kind of nation major nations use in proxy wars your best gear is generally not homegrown but imported from major nations. For example, i like that you are using the HE 112, a plane rejected by a major nation but you nation picked up and imported.

Legion of anyone you are most likely to be reduced in size due to your current large size on what is pretty much prime turf. I will double check tomorrow and give you a definitive answer if I will will require you to reduce your claim.

Also, I am changing the fictional Common Era dating system I planned to use, it will now run concurrent to modern dating so the starting year will be 1939 technology with the fictional year also being 1939. It will also be early in the year probably like April-ish when the RP starts.

Putin's actions in Ukraine have increased his approval rating as high as 70+% in opinion polls in Russia and political analysts are saying even if forced to withdraw will come out winning domestically for showing interest in protectin Russian speakers against Westerners.
