It is. In real life, I grew up in Pennsylvania and I live in Chicago. To me Pennsylvania is the most beautiful state. I have never been to another country in real life, but I have been as far away as Canada, New England, Texas, Colorado, California and Florida. They were all interesting in their own way, but home is always best. I would love to have the time and money to be a world traveler. It is probably why I write about so many places where I have never actually been. Oh well, off to bed. Take care.
Bert had nearly killed them, and she was the one who was apologizing. He wondered what had happened in her life to make her blame herself so easily. Surely she should be furious with him. He cradle her in his arms as she cried on his chest. "Don't worry about it Rose. I was the one not watching the road. You were just singing along with the radio. Please stop crying now." He tipped her chin upward with his fingers and looked her in the eyes. "I swear to you, this was not your fault.

As it was, he was not sure how he was going to get his car back over the embankment. He would probably have to walk to a phone and call a tow truck. He wondered how far away her house was. It was a fine a beautiful night, with a nearly full moon. He could walk her home first, in plenty of time. The town was tiny, so it could not take all that long, even if she was on the other side of town.

Back at the dance, Bobby Lee woke up, on the ground. He slowly stood, as blood poured from his broken nose. "I am going to kill her, and that little runt too," he said to no one in particular. He returned to his black muscle car and jumped in. He was determined to run home, get his father's shotgun and then go hunting for his girlfriend and her new friend.
I will post tomorrow. It was a long day traveling and my brain is not up to the task. I am in a few one on one games where I can dash out a quick post, to keep things going. This is one of two games I am in where I like to take my time and actually try to write decently.
Martin was startled as she climbed up his leg and then up, under his tunic, to his shoulder. It was a struggle not to swat her, despite knowing who she was. Still, Abelina was soon safe on his shoulder. He moved quietly out of town, keeping to the shadows. The local baron had stationed four roaming guards at his village, to maintain order. Tonight, all four were out. It was a real struggle not to get caught.

On the outskirts of town, he pasted the last building, a public house. Men were still inside drinking and singing, despite the late hour. One came outside to relieve himself, against the side of the pub. Martin found it disgusting, but held his breath and waited until the man went back inside, before passing. Soon he was crossing the bridge over the river.

The bridge was an old stone bridge, wide enough for a wagon. Martin was halfway across, when someone shouted, in the night. It was a guard, crossing the bridge from the other side. "You there, Martin the blacksmith's apprentice, Martin charged the guard, lifting his staff above his head, as the guard drew his steel broadsword.
Tom sunk down to the ground next to her, sitting on his haunches. "There sheriff's department was already hit. I am thinking that cellular service has been blocked somehow, and the phone lines have been cut. Otherwise the state police would already be here." He handed his water bottle to the girl. "Here, drink some of this slowly. If your dehydrating yourself, it is almost as dangerous as a bullet.

He looked at her seriously. "Look miss. We can't stay here. It's to exposed and I am afraid that the killer or killers are still around. Come with me and we will return to the school. We need to get a vehicle and get to the next town to tell the authorities what is happening."

Across town, a man in a black ski mask was going door to door, to each house, kicking down the doors and searching them. When he found anyone hiding. He shot them. So far, in the tiny town, he was half way through the houses. Some had tried to fight back, using civilian firearms, but he was carrying an AK47 assault rifle and a sniper rifle and won every fight he came across.
The morning was a good time to exercise, Roger found. He stood near the stables, running through a series of exercises, such as push ups and jumping jacks. He was dressed only in a pair of trousers and had worked up a fine sweat by the time he moved on to drilling with his cavalry saber. He used a hay bale as a target and attacked it again and again. By the time he was done, he was good and winded. He finished up by dumping a cold bucket of water over his head, and shaking out his long hair to dry it.

After this, he dressed again and went to check on the patient. He hoped that she would be feeling up to eating breakfast with him and the baroness. She had invited him that morning, before his workout. He knocked on the door and waited for a reply.
I may be around some tomorrow for a collab, if anyone is around. We are just sitting around relaxing tomorrow. My trip eventually worked out, so I am in Lancaster County, PA, at my parents' house. They are out in the country, but they have good wifi.

~Real Side~
Name: Gail Winters
Age: 28
Appearance: She is a tall, thin woman with long brown hair, brown eyes and a lean face. She wears round spectacles and dresses in loose trousers and sleeveless tunics.
Personality: Gail is generally shy around strangers, and sticks to herself, but with her friends and family she is loving and warm. She is compassionate and feels things very deeply. If there is to much going on at once, she can have meltdowns, but they are more rare than they were when she was growing up.
Physicality: Gail is in good physical condition from running. She has asthma which she controls through exercise and medication.
Bio: Gail Winters was born in Lancaster County Pennsylvania and grew up there as well. Her mother and father were both school teachers and instilled a love of learning in her from a young age. She was very shy, even as a child, and spent most of her time in the library, or reading her books at home. She was never sure how to relate to other children and it was only later in life that she was diagnosed with Asberger's Syndrome. During her childhood she had a tough time surviving public school and was teased a lot. Eventually her parents withdrew her, and started to home school her. Her teacher was her mother, who stopped full time teaching to spend her time teaching her daughter and her daughter's brother Seth.

When she was in her teen years, Gail discovered that she was bisexual. Since then, she has never had a full time relationship with a man or a woman. She has been on a few dates, but is still a virgin and is to scared to put herself out there, or open up to a relationship. It is part of her lifetime struggle with Asbergers.

When Gail was sixteen, she got her GED and started to attend Rosemont College in Rosemont Pennsylvania. She lived in an apartment with her brother, who was two years older and they both attended university together. She came out to her brother during this time, only to discover that he himself was gay. He has since then told her parents who did not receive the news well. Seth and there father have not spoken in almost ten years. Because of this, Gail has been to scared to tell her parents of her own sexuality.

In college she studied English literature and creative writing. She went on to Pennsylvania University, for graduate school, receiving a masters in library science. During this time, she adopted her cat, got her first apartment on her own and generally learned to live an independent adult life. Since graduate school she has moved back to Lancaster County and lives in Intercourse Pennsylvania. She is the reference librarian at a public library and owns a small Victorian house.
Misc: She has a black cat named Jinx.

Her brother Seth, is age 30 and is an artist. He will be my other character. He has the ability, in the fantasy world, to paint and draw things which then can come to life in the real world. I am still working on him.
Bert was really distracted by his companion, and quite forgot about paying attention to the road. He listened to her sing along with the radio, and thought she had a lovely voice. In fact, she was over all a lovely girl. Even though he did not know anything about her yet, he was sure he was going to marry her. Such is the folly of youth.

Suddenly, he realized, as she screamed, that he had crossed over onto the wrong side of the road, and a car was coming right at them through the darkness. He swerved in just enough time to avoid the other car, sending his own car down the embankment, and halfway into the woods. It was only by grace that he avoided crashing into a tree.

For a long moment, he simply sat there, with no other sounds than the chirping of crickets and the beating of his heart. He looked over at Rose, as the song continued to play on the radio. With shaking hands, he reached out and turned the radio off. "We... we almost died back there Rose."
Thanks. We are in Lancaster County PA, Amish Country.
