My brother died. Be back when I am up to it.
I was behind anyways and my brother just died. Not sure when I will be up to writing agai n.
Exactly. :) I will post tomorrow, but I am off to bed. Take care.
Living in the moment is good. I see a therapist once a month also, because of some issues. There is nothing wrong with that. We all need help. The future is fluid and the past is set. The now we can influence though.
He was surprised that she caught on so quickly, and was accepting of what he was trying to tell her. With a bit more confidence, he continued. "The truth is that before today, I had never heard of you, much less knew you, but I have been living the day of the dance over and over again, and at the end of the day, you have always died. Your boyfriend Bobby always finds us and kills you, for being with me. The fact is, that this is the first day where I came to you earlier than the dance, to try to steal you away before he could find out where we were going." He waited, fearful of her response.
My brother, Dan, is still sedated, but things are looking more positive now. My mother says that anyone else would already be dead. He is to stubborn to die. My post was short, probably because I am still a bit shaky, but I also thought that if we could write some shorter posts, our characters could actually have a conversation, rather than glossing over the days a bit with longer posts, if that is O.K. with you.
I jutted out my chin. "Why thank you. You are quite womanly yourself, and obviously younger than my twenty seven years. What are you, twenty two? No, there is not girlfriend, or wife, or ex-wife back home. The truth is that my work ruins any chance I have at a relationship. Most women don't want a man who is always going off to the far corners of the world to work, and the few that were willing to follow me, I did not fancy as much as they fancied me. The truth is that I already plan to stay a bachelor until I retire. Maybe then I can find the love of my life and a reason to settle down." It was as honest as I had ever been with a woman, but I figured it did not matter. We would not be seeing each other much longer than another ten days, and most of those days she would probably spend working.

"So you tell me. What are you looking for in your perfect man. Your certainly smart enough and pretty enough not to be single. Why hasn't some Newfoundlander stolen your heart already?" It was a bold enough question, but it seemed to be a night for bold questions. I took another long sip of my black coffee while I waited for an answer. My eyes were draw to her bare feet, swinging freely through the air, and I forced them back up to her face.
Seth came out of the kitchen, and stopped short when he saw Rafael pointing the gun on their witness. "What the Hell are you doing Mr. Ojeda?" He asked calmly, as he drew his pistol and pointed it at Rafael.

"If you shoot me, I will still be able to shoot her," pointed out Rafael. "Now drop your firearm."

"I don't think so." Seth aimed down the barrel of his pistol, ready to take the shot. There was little choice. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and the the sound of wood splintering, as the door swung inwards.
Roger smiled down at her. He was dressed in new clothing. A tan suit and a gray greatcoat, all gifts of the baroness. "I am sure. There is nothing I would rather be doing." In the background, the sloop ship was taking on its final load of cannon powder and supplies and the crew was making ready to cast off.
Bert swallowed loudly. The truth? How was he even supposed to begin. "Look, supposed you could live the same day over again, and make different decisions. Would you want to; to change the past, or would you live with where you were now, even if the past were painful?" It was not the truth, just yet, but he was getting around to it. They stopped just outside the doors to the dinner. He looked down at her, afraid to have this conversation.
