Nah, Rex, it's fine if you go first. I'm having trouble typing. I'll probably post an hour later if I'm feeling okay enough. >.< Sorry.
Guys, I got caught in a rain shower yesterday and I have fever. I'm really not feeling well, so I'll just read over the IC and the OOC to check if anyone needs me, okay? But don't expect much, honestly.

I'd like to see maybe Kei try her hand at moving the scene forward?

I'll try?

I'm back. We finished our finals yesterday, so technically the summer term is over, so I could allot more here. I'm really sorry about my lack of posting and if that has caused any of you to lose your inspiration (I think it has, so yeah). I'll go read the IC now.
Happyyy Birthday Pach! Eat some cake! 8D

Group C
Lute was running himself thin by plotting out a route for them; with his knowledge of Thaum, shouldn’t there be at least a tidbit of information he can share about the town’s layout? However, everything was twisted and nonsensical; buildings Lute was positive weren’t there before were in plain view, and a massive house shaped like a tortoise loomed into view. Lucien tripped and the matter artist helped him up, but Lute was not so fortunate and ended up sprawled on the street. Normally he would have screeched or reacted noisily but the urgency of the situation made him get back on his feet and run again without so much as a complaint.

They ran inside a toy shop and Xandra immediately began piling furniture on the entrance. “Maybe they won’t notice,” He spared the metallurgist a look and saw that asides from her pale face her hands were also shaking as she grabbed at random objects. The abject panic on her face reminded him of the way he felt earlier
The virtuoso grimly ducked to the side and gathered anything he could add to the heap.

However all their effort was for naught. The Bearon crashed through the window easily and their group had no choice but to vacate the premises; Lute instantly yanked Xandra away from the makeshift barricade and they ran after Dylan. “You first!” He nodded and helped her climb over the window while the matter artist acted as help on the other side. Lute slipped through after the girl and roughly landed on his feet. He was able to catch snippets of the other guilders’ conversation: “We can cut through the buildings - the doorways and walls will slow the bearon down, and hopefully hide us from the dragon beast.”

Another tremor shook the area and Lute growled. All of these events were starting to make him feel numb
It barely registered in his mind when the cleric rose in the air. “Miss, what are you-!?” Before he could even finish his sentence Lute too had stepped on a brightly-colored tile, and so was lifted upwards at a rather fast pace. The boy turned even paler and jumped on a nearby roof, but the building itself trembled when yet another tremor took place. It goes without saying that Lute had a rough landing.

He just lay there for a few moments, too stunned to react, when within the wrecked toy store another roar reverberated. Lute pushed himself up as yet another howl shook the building, this time getting even closer to their group. “Let’s
go north! Just keep breaking in, right? Just keep heading for the Tow- owwwww,” Lute exclaimed as he tried to stand without swaying. From what he saw from the air earlier, the north path was full of large buildings?
(Can't contribute to the discussion, sorry OTL)

Good evening~ ^ o ^ /
I finally got out of my funk! I'll go write my post now and then run off to review for finals tomorrow.
Lesley and Hakuren were trapped behind the log, but that didn’t stop the pink-haired human from shooting beams of light at the orc’s face. Maybe he was hoping to distract the monster, but his repeated attempts were futile as the arm band absorbed all of his attacks; the rainbows merely gathered together and then faded away as if sucked in by a black hole. When the fallen tree snapped into half under the orc’s repeated slashes, Lesley decided to throw all caution and lunged at the creature’s arms. There was a bright array of colors as he tried his best to snag the arm band, but while Lesley was able to tear a part of the band he fell short of the real task and fell down on the forest floor. The human looked shaken up and Jasper immediately attended to him.

It was no surprise then, that R’ktash targeted the healer next. It ran towards Jasper on all fours and then picked her up, obviously ready to plop her down the hatch if only she didn’t decide to ram her staff through his eyeball. The orc let out an enraged howl of pain and threw the human away, staggering backwards blindly and causing more trees to snap in half. It used its sword as a cane as it plucked the arrow out then threw it away, blood now gushing down from its eyes. If it wasn’t enough already, it looked as if Leon had recovered from his trip earlier to aid Riley, and the spunky girl flew at the orc’s face and clung there like a limpet.

The orc grabbed at the teenager with his free hand and made a move to throw her off, but for some miracle she grabbed on to the arm band. She used just on hand to cling on to the accessory, her face growing ashen as her grip slowly started to loosen, but in her other hand a small fire ball was forming. Before she fell Riley was able to shoot the fire ball at the armband within extremely close range, and as she thudded to the ground she heard something-

Clank

-falling.

“Whoa! Looks like I got it!” Riley cheered with the slightest bit of confusion in her hazy eyes before she plunked down on the ground, unconscious.
Heya, I'll be posting within the hour, but I might adjust the time frame since we're making adjustments due to Michi's vacay. No biggie though, we'll continue on as planned.

Also, Group One, if we don't finish in time, I'll have Avian swoop in, but that takes away a certain "the victor takes the spoils" moment, I think? Whatever. I know we aren't complete yet (still lack Hakuren and Leon posts), but it's fine. ^ o ^ /

Edit: That's more than enough obvious an opportunity. 8D Let's finish this scene quickly.
Uagh, sorry I wasn't able to post yesterday. I'll work on one tonight >.<
Posting later.
