BECAUSE I AM SWITCHING ACCOUNTS TO POKE, THIS ACCOUNT WILL NOW SERVE AS A MEMORIAL TO THE ONLY KING THAT MATTERS.

Ostarion, the Skeleton King

"Bone is strongest where it's mended."

The victim of a longevity spell that backfired, the Skeleton King Ostarion has built an empire from the bones of his enemies. He lives only to extend his reach, for as long as he is perpetually building and adding to his domain he cannot die. The walls of his palace are formed of fired bone; the streets are paved with bones of every sort of creature and every enemy; and even the wood and other natural features of his land have been swept away and replaced with replicas formed of bone. From the Ivory Forest to Ostarion's towering Throne of Bone, nothing happens in the Empire of Bones without the full knowledge of its Skeleton King.

Breaking the combochain for a moment, what part of western Europe will we be based in?

Ah, for that I enlisted the aid of someone who definitely-didn't-post-in-this-thread. She made a pretty good map of the Western Europe server, which will be in the OOC when it comes out.

Good, because there's no use with all your gimmicks.

Overskills will be apart of this RP, but not until much later in the story. In other words: eventually, you can get them, just not yet.

Hey! I don't know much about log horizen, but is it still ok if i tag along?

Definitely ok. But I suggest that you watch a few episodes to get a grasp of the theme of the RP.

Moving on from that, the OOC will be up extremely soon, just a few more bits of information need to be added, then we'll be ready.
Yo. Co-GM here. I'm mostly just dealing with Necropolis matters at the moment, but I could probably help out with your question if you could give me the conditionals that your WIP character needs to meet.

"As of today, Elder Tale stands as the largest and most popular MMO in history. Originally a simple American MMORPG created by Atharva Inc, Elder Tale quickly grew in popularity, and now has a massive playerbase. As the game grew in popularity, more servers were created in order to accommodate players from different regions, making Elder Tale a fully-global MMO. The Japanese server alone has more than 100,000 active players who have created over 1,200,000 unique characters.

However, during the release of Elder Tale’s twelfth expansion pack - Homesteading the Noosphere, several hundred thousand players on every server who were logged in at the time of the update found themselves trapped inside of the game. This event became known as the Apocalypse."

Welcome to the Interest Check for Elder Tale: Western Europe (Says so in the title). As you can probably already tell, this is a Log Horizon RP which takes place around 3 ingame days after the Apocalypse, because of this, people have not discovered many things, such as how to create food with taste, or the consequences of dying. It also takes place in Western Europe (Unexpected location!), rather than the Yamato (Japanese) server. Naturally, there will be different locations, dungeons and even enemies as well as some old ones. This specific RP will focus on the adventures (and misadventures) of a single guild, known as Silverfall - a small adventuring and combat guild. Because of the lack of information on the Western European server (Surprisingly not our fault), there will be a large amount of creativity and worldbuilding involved, there may also be a player limit, simply because the RP would be much more difficult to control if there are too many people. If this proves to be true, then it's definitely going to be quality of an application, rather than first come, first serve.

All in all, this Roleplay will follow an adventurous, player-built story. Sometimes serious, sometimes light-hearted, with a few comedic moments thrown in between. So, any interest?

From atop the building, Venn was able to see a very decent portion of Haven. He watched and waited for Akal to attack yet another unsuspecting citizen, so that their body parts could be collected and sacrificed for a much more important cause. The God Slayer jumped onto an adjacent house in order to see things from a better perspective. He could see trash. Well, not trash exactly, but another Necropolis member. It just so happened that Venn saw this specific guild member as trash. He never spoke to him, and hardly acknowledged his existence. The only members Ishak Dagon had sent on this mission were two of the three members of the Dead Triumvirate. Venn assumed that this cultist had simply followed. Unless he could be useful somehow, he probably had no reason being there. From what Venn was able to see, this cultist wasn't even doing something related to the current mission. No matter, Venn's focus was meant to be on the task at hand - him being the watchful eye of the operation, which he was doing quite well. Venn's eyesight was quite good, and adding onto the fact that he was atop a building made his job extremely easy.

Haven. A fairly average town in comparison to most parts of Fiore. Medium sized, but populated. It was populated enough to be targetted by the efforts of Necropolis. In order to fulfill their twisted prophecy of a new world order, they would need to sustain their leader - Ishak Dagon, with human components. Flesh, bones, blood, souls. All of these were suitable to be given to Necropolis' unholy leader. As a result, Ishak Dagon had recently released Akal on a 'collecting expedition' in Haven; it was an opportunity for him to run rampant, harvesting the bodies the dead for both his leader, and himself. Venn was also requested to embark on the same job, and was also in Haven because of this.

The God Slayer stood atop the roof of one of the buildings, and watched Akal perform his endeavors. He was essentially there to ensure that everything went smoothly, without any unwanted repercussions. He was considered to be the strongest of the Triumvirate, despite being the youngest. Likely because he was still able to make sane decisions, alongside having a powerful ancient magic by his side. Even so, he did not seem to want to join in on the collection of human parts, he was not necessarily ordered to do so, and so instead he waited for a situation to arise where he would need to take action.
Just a heads up to future/current Roleplayers in this RP. You are allowed to make characters that're in the Necropolis Guild.

Necropolis

'Pray that Necropolis never succeeds, for I fear the day his shackles are removed'
- Ebzidan, Great Hobo of Verde (Damn, why does he know so much?)

Founded by the great demon Ishak Dagon, Necropolis is a guild/cult dedicated to his sustenance, and eventual release. On that glorious day, Ishak Dagon will consume and destroy all but the members of Necropolis, who will establish a world where they will rule. By providing sustenance in the form of lacrima, souls, bones and flesh, Ishak Dagon slowly becomes more powerful. In return, Ishak Dagon provides his magical knowledge, his great monastery, and the promise of leadership in the world to come. Most of Ishak's demands are fulfilled by the members of the Dead Triumvirate, three of the leading powers within Necropolis, although there are currently only two of these leaders. The third member was sacrificed after attempting to stage a coup d'état. Since this incident however, Necropolis has gotten a new member of the Triumvirate.

The resides within a monastery far to the east of Magnolia, and north to Akane Beach, despite this, there is access to a large assortment of vehicles and holder magic weaponry, this is because of the fact that the Necropolis guild has a large following of cultists, which provides them with an admirable amount of money.

Guild Mark

Venn's guild mark is not located anywhere on his body, instead, his Guild Mark has been stamped on the back of all of his shirts.

All of them.

Personality :
Expressionless, monotone and calm. These are some of the many words used to describe Venn. He very rarely changes his facial expression, and when he does, it is ridiculously difficult to see, as he constantly wears a scarf which conceals his mouth. Venn never seems to worry about anything, and will attempt to complete jobs set by Ishak Dagon with as much efficiency as possible. He dislikes the very thought of someone opposing Ishak Dagon's rule, and will attack anyone who either questions Necropolis' ideals, or gets in the way of them. Some people consider Venn to act stealthy in certain situations, as he is known to simply appear from nowhere at times, much like a ninja. Of all members of the Dead Triumverate, Venn tends to be talked about the most often, but is actually seen the least; while Akal tends to lead collecting expeditions in order to sustain Ishak Dagon, and for his own pleasure, and while Tau essentially does odd jobs and various other tasks, Venn is the one who is normally called for jobs which will have an impact on the guild's current state: Such as collecting Lacrima from an island to power their magical devices and retrieving magical artifacts for use later. Venn is also considered to be the most sane of the Triumvirate. Akal is an insane glutton, whilst Tau experiences egregious mood swings, making Venn's emotionless nature seem the most normal.

Although he doesn't realize it, Venn will occasionally face the opposite direction of the person he is speaking to, this is more often an occurrence when he talks to enemies, rather than allies.

Arsenal :

Weapon

A fairly basic spear with no special attributes which Venn carries around on his back. He no longer needs to use it due to his magic, but it helps when he wishes to fight someone with a melee weapon.

Items
All of Venn's items are stored within a small satchel - commonly worn on his right side.

. 50,000 Jewels
. A single Lacrima crystal - used to power magical vehicles.

Magic Type : Lost
Mage Rank : Necropolis does not rank their members, but it is worth noting that Aedius is apart of Necropolis' Dead Triumvirate.

Magic :

Sand God Slayer Magic

Sand God Slayer Magic is a Caster Magic, Ancient Spell and a type of God Slayer Magic that utilizes the element of sand.

An Ancient form of magic which grants the user the power to slay "Gods" by incorporating the element of sand into the user's body. This allows them to produce black sand from any part of their body, mostly for offensive purposes. By consuming sand that isn't their own, Sand God Slayers can replenish their power quickly and rid themselves of fatigue. This essentially makes Sand God Slayers immune to magic involving sand, as they can simply eat it to become stronger. Sand Dragon Slayer magic is unique in the sense that it is technically weaker than most other God Slayer Magics in terms of offense, due to an enemy simply being buffeted with black sand, rather than being electrocuted or hit with flames. Instead, Sand God Slayer Magic is dangerous because of it's versatility, and it's quantity. Sand as an element is adaptable, and can be molded into different shapes.

Spells :

Supportive
You're joking.

Offensive

Sand God's Anhur - The user gathers black sand in one hand, and places it on the ground. Seconds later, multiple pillars of black sand burst from the ground, damaging enemies and sending them upward.

Sand God's Scirocco - The user gathers a large amount of black sand in both hands, and fires it forward as a spiraling sandstorm.

Sand God's Bellow - The Sand God Slayer's exclusive God's Bellow, incorporating the element of sand. The user breathes out a massive stream of black sand toward the opponent.

Sand God's Scimitar - The user swipes one of their hands, creating a blade of black sand which flies toward the target.

Sand God's Throne - Lifts the user by creating a tornado of black sand underfoot.

Defensive

Sand God's Geb - Creates a powerful but brief sandstorm which surrounds the user for a short moment, protecting the user from most magics.

Sand God's Wall - Erects a wall of sand to block attacks, lasts longer than Sand God's Geb, but can only block in one direction.

Advanced Offensive

Sand God's Set - After a long channeling time, Venn flicks a small ball of floating black sand to the target location. One it has reached it's destination, the ball of sand remains in place for twelve seconds, after which it explodes violently, with a fairly large radius, and dealing a large amount of damage.

Sand God's Ra - Drawing power from the sun, and after amassing magical power, the user releases a brilliant concentrated beam of radiant, hot sand which burns enemies.

Sand God's Ra Incantation:
'The sun rises,
and heat bears down upon you...
Sand God's Ra.'

Biography :

'One day, the black sand will swallow this land, and on that day, Venn will reign.'
- Ebzidan, Great Hobo of Verde

Far from Fiore, across the vast expanse of the ocean lies a great land, consumed by everlasting sand. This land is known as the great desert Verde, where the sun beats down on the inhabitants endlessly and mercilessly. There is only one civilization within Verde; Shale. Shale was a very large civilization which had managed to stay prosperous, despite being inside of the desert. It's people were hard-working and spiritual, and were ones to follow ancient traditions set by their ancestors. At the very top of Shale's hierarchy was the emperor, who would hold the most power over the desert. The emperor of Shale would be known as the emperor of Verde in it's entirety:

Everything the light touched, was theirs.

Verde was not simply an empty desert, and was a land well known for it's great tomb, Akar's Rest. It was a monumental tomb, founded by Verde's first emperor, Akar, created to contain all of Verde's past leaders, artifacts and treasures. Naturally, there were some who could not resist the allure of potentially stealing these ancient treasures, and after a deep and complex discussion between the emperor and his advisers, shamans and oracles, guided by spiritual means and lasting for thirty days. A decision was made to have a single family guard this newly created tomb. And the family chosen to guard this tomb was the family of Avourel - large and abundant, with many magic users and warriors within their midst. Originally, the Avourel family were reluctant - to be forced to guard a temple for tens of generations to come was daunting, almost like slavery, but the family was soon forced to relent at the hands of Akar's royal guard.

Though he had not been born yet, Venn's destiny had already been altered and set in motion by Akar's decision.

The Family of Avourel - Now known as the Avourel Clan, guarded Akar's Rest with an endless fervor. Members of the clan were either warriors, or mages with magic that was capable of killing. Acid magic, sword magic, even darkness magic. Almost no form of magic was considered useless to the Avourel Clan, and the variety the clan members held over their magic ensured that no attempted thief or bandit was prepared to face them. Akar was pleased with his decision, and continued to work to make Verde one of the most precious land of all time. Several years after Akar's death at the hands of an unknown mage-assassin, Venn was born. Despite the death of Akar - who was now buried in Akar's Rest, the Avourel Clan's tradition of guarding the tomb was now set in stone, and would be carried out by emperors to come.

As Venn grew, he bore witness to many of the feats of the Avourel clan. He watched as time and time again, one of the Avourel Clan's members would simply brush of the attacks of bandits and thieves as if they were nothing. Many were never even able to reach the treasure, to the point where some began to create elaborate stories of the treasure within the tomb, and how the Avourel Clan were like shadows, they lived extremely close to the temple for the most part, members would occasionally leave and travel to Shale to bring back food and water. As a result, the Avourel clan was also believed to be some form of myth, and they soon came to be known as a curse which almost immediately kills anything which enters the tomb. The Clan didn't mind, however. Being a near myth allowed them to work much more efficiently. Venn himself was chosen to be taught spear-play, rather than using magic. By the time he had come to the age of 10, he was being harshly worked for preparation of his future role as an Avourel Guard.

Venn was treated differently than the other children in the Avourel Clan, he was worked more often than the other children as an experiment, to see if it would improve him as a guard when he came of age. Many hours each day were dedicated to training, only stopping to eat and sleep, and to occasionally deal the killing blow to an intruder - if he was lucky. Venn was already isolated from most of civilization by living close to Akar's Rest, but by having most of his day dedicated to training would eventually make Venn bored and tired. As he grew older, Venn was given more opportunities to guard the tomb. These instances slowly began to provide him a sense of entertainment. He felt that he was working for a great cause - to defend Akar's Rest, a great tomb which contained all of Verde's treasures, was a great honour to him.

By the time Venn had reached 14, he had been made to lead a guard for the night. The elder members of the Avourel Clan believed Venn to be ready - despite his young age. It was likely that he would have succeeded in defending Akar's Rest too.

Had the intruder been anyone but this.

A mysterious and intimidating mage had known of Akar's Rest for an extremely long time, and had supposedly arrived to obtain the artifacts within. He entered and dispatched of the many different Avourel Guards with relative ease, regardless of their magic type and strength, and to top it off - he did not need magic to do so. As this occurred, Venn realized that this mage would likely go straight to the treasure room. In preparation, Venn made his way to said treasure room and waited. Moments later, the mysterious mage entered the room without a sound, and stood, watching Venn. Venn in turn watched the mage, and they immediately began to battle. At 14, Venn was still somewhat formidable as a fighter. People tended to underestimate his abilities, giving him an opportunity to surprise them in combat. This did not seem to happen with this mage, and he instead fought with a merciless fervor from the beginning of the fight. Venn was naturally overwhelmed. By the time more Avourel Guards had arrived to provide aid, the unknown mage was gone, and Venn laid on the ground, defeated. To add insult to injury, the mage had not taken anything from the treasury, and had not even left a mark on Venn. He had simply defeated multiple members of the Avourel Clan, and left. Venn was distraught at this; for ages, Akar's Rest had been impenetrable, but that had finally changed.

The entirety of the Avourel Clan was disappointed in Venn, and they were sure to make it known. He was no longer worked daily, but was merely ignored. No matter what he did thereon, it would either not be acknowledged, or simply credited to someone else. This harsh form of abuse lasted for months before Venn finally snapped. He became enraged, not only at his failure, but at the entirety of the clan for their reaction to said failure. He vowed that he would find and kill this mage himself, at the age of 14, in the desert.

It took a great deal of effort, and by the time he had finally found the lair of this mage, he was in no condition to fight anything. He fainted metres away from the entrance of the lair.

Surprisingly, Venn awoke much later to find that he was inside of the mage's lair. The mage greeted him, but Venn immediately attacked him upon seeing him, and was promptly defeated again. Each time Venn became conscious, he would attempt to attack the mage, only to be defeated with ease. It was only until Venn calmed down and rested, that the mage spoke. His name was Thanus, a Sand Mage who seeked the origins of the One Magic. On his journey he had come across many treasures, and by managing to find him, Thanus offered him one of his most prized treasures. An ancient tome containing the details of Sand God Slayer Magic. Thanus had no use for anything less than the One Magic, meaning the tome was meaningless to him. But someone who harboured a great resent for his own people, someone like Venn, would find much more use for it. At first, Venn was reluctant to accept the gift, but he then considered what would happen if he returned to his clan. Realizing that he needed to pursue a greater power is what drove him to accept the tome, although he did not return to Akar's Rest. Instead, he stayed with Thanus, and studied Sand God Slayer Magic for two years. When he had become proficient at it, he returned to the Avourel Clan. Not to reconcile, but to demonstrate what he had learned to it's members. He dispatched of the Avourel Guards much like Thanus did, and immediately left afterwards. Within the desert, Venn was unstoppable, he was able to devour sand and release it as a blackened version for use against his foes. He had traveled to the peaceful civilization of Shale, and attacked a portion of the populace, his attack lasted for an entire day, until he was finally subdued through the use of magic, sealed away in a sarcophagus, and sent adrift across the ocean.

The original intention was to keep Venn adrift for eternity. The sarcophagus was meant to sustain the lives of anyone inside, specifically enchanted to subdue Venn. Of course, being secluded like this was extremely detrimental to his already angry self, and this only helped to reinforce his hatred of Shale and the Avourel Clan.

For months he drifted across the ocean, unable to do anything but sleep, and stare at nothing, until he finally washed ashore on Fiore. Although he was still technically not free. The sarcophagus was sealed, meaning he was still unable to get out. It was only until it was pried open by the magic of several cultists that Venn was released. He thanked them, and they allowed him a chance to join them. Technically in the debt of these people, he reluctantly joined. He was led back to the monastery that was the basing of the Necropolis Guild, and was introduced to the leader of the cult. A demon of immense power, but seemingly limited for some reason. The demon introduced itself as Ishak Dagon, and explained his plight, and how by releasing him, the demon would gain the power to destroy all but Necropolis, and craft a new world in which they would rule. Venn knew that this outcome would result in the destruction of Shale, but more importantly - the Avourel Clan. He agreed to help the demon, and soon became a member of Necropolis' Dead Triumvirate, a trio of high ranking generals within Necropolis.

If you have any ideas for antagonists and how we can integrate them let me know. I mean I'll need to spoil stuff about the story to you for everything to make sense so I guess if you're okay with that then feel free to message me.

I currently have a solution for the whole antagonist issue, I can PM you those details also, if you're interested.
