Changed my colour/matter and got my stats. Did my head in trying to find a balance between military and population without screwing everything else up. Writing up the rest now.
Nation name: Asante Kingdom.
Race: Kobolds.

Kobolds are small lizard-like creatures. They are fast and lean, and are usually a shade of red or orange.
Population: 96.
Income: 100Ӻ.
Treasury: 300Ӻ.

Keeper name: King Merkar.
Description: King Merkar has a fiery, bold attitude. He is impulsive and quick to anger, and prefers actions to words. Although he has few friends, and plenty of enemies in politics, he is for the most part respected by the citizens of the Asante Kingdom due to his energy and spirit. King Merkar is dark red and wears simple grey outfits, as like most Kobolds he doesn't hold with finery or opulence.

Color: Blue.
Matter: Light.
Keeper: Warrior.

Geography: The Asante Kingdom lies deep in the Caledonian Forest of Scotland, a huge thick pine forest. The main settlement is built into a tall pine tree at the edge of a small pond.

Culture: Kobolds have a high sense of individuality and prize freedom above all else. The culture of the Asante Kingdom therefore tends to not revolve around public events. Kobolds tend to keep to themselves and work towards improving their own lot in life, instead of working for their community as a whole. Kobolds have simple philosophies - a life full of good fights, good food and good alcohol is a life well spent. What few public events their are tend to be boxing events or gladitorial-style fights, and gambling at such gatherings is common.

Industry: The economy of the Asante Kingdom is weak, and there are almost no factories. Output tends to be agricultural - birds common to the Caledonian Forest such as grouse, redwings, and goldeneye ducks are hunted for meat and feathers; mammals such as beavers, mountain hares, and red squirrels are also hunted for meat and furs. The soil is poor for agriculture, which is good because Kobolds make poor farmers, but berries such as rasberries, cranberries, cloudberries, and lingonberries are all harvested. Amber is also excavated. Finally, cloudberries are distilled to make an alcoholic beverage called Synketa, which is famous amongst the little peoples.

Coloration: Blue is a useful colour, vital in spurring the Asante economy which would be dead in the water without the political boost. However, it does not suit King Merkar nor the Asante people, who are known for their strong emotions. When the rainbow spread across the land, many of the Kobolds were disappointed that their civilisation recieved Blue, as they were hoping for Red. Indeed, the failure to secure Red caused many heated discussions, a situation not helped by the high political appeal of Blue. However, King Merkar's warrior background ensured that the Asante Kingdom was still a strong military power, and so the situation did not come to bloodshed. Most Kobolds want little to do with the Colour or the Keeper, and the Colour is very rarely used on public occasions.

Technology: The Asante Kingdom has a very low level of technology, with only a base level of tools in use. The only parts of equipment even remotely advanced are the Synketa distilleries, and they only add to society's troubles rather than improve it.

Other: Although fighting against other nations is not very common, the Asante Kingdom maintains a high level of militarisation. This is due to the danger of predators in the forest, such as eagles, foxes, and pine martens. In recent times, this strong military has encouraged an expansionist feeling amongst Kobolds, as many believe the Asante Kingdom is powerful enough to take on other nations and unite the rainbow.

Military: 57 soldiers (59%). All Kobolds in the Asante military are trained to a high skill level with bows and either spears or strange pickaxe-like weapons. The Asante military usually tries to open engagements with bows first, only switching to melee weapons when the maximum amount of damage has been done from a distance. These weapons have helped the Asante Kingdom fight against countless predators in the past. In a pinch, the sharp claws of a Kobold can also be used as weapons.

Nation name: Skandos.
Race/Races: Wargs - bipedal wolf-like men. They are smaller than a normal man, it is rare for a Warg to reach 6' in height. They are also less heavily built, although they are faster. Wargs are covered in thick fur that can be any colour from white to grey to black, and any combination.
Population: ~450 000.
Key Leaders: Skandos has at all times two kings, currently King Torak and King Thorn.
Location: -
resources: The nation of Skandos lies on a huge buried forest, and this forms the basis of their resources. They extract from the dead forest wood, peat, and amber. However, although it is huge, the dead forest is a finite resource and so they are careful to only take what they need. They also fish and hunt seals, and whales if they can, although it is a risky and difficult task.
Imports: Metals, oil, tools.
Exports: Timber, peat, amber.
Other: Wargs keep the fur of their dead and use them (this is not considered taboo, although cannibilism is), but they would never consent to trading them.
History: The Wargs were originally split into different tribes, generally with poor and often hostile opinions of other tribes, and fighting over sparce resources were common. However, this changed when one tribe discovered the dead forest. The tribe was too small to extract the timber, so they invited a larger tribe to help and share the resources. When the size of the forest was realised, other tribes came, and it was decided to form the tribes into one in order to share this resource. Eventually the tribes were replaced with clans inside the Skandos society, with the first two clans forming the royal houses.
Culture: The Skandosi try to live in caves wherever possible, but if it is not they built houses out of whale bones or timber with a sod roof. They are a warrior society, but are different in that they value cunning and leadership above strength. Their sagas and stories tend to revolve around battles and victorious armies, rather than individual heroes, and the heroes they do worship are mostly leaders and strategists.
Is there a population limit? And how frozen is this planet - are there any trees or stuff like that, or is it all ice and snow?
Interested.
This sounds interesting, apparently.
Sure, sounds fun. I'm in.
Should we start up a new thread? People might be put off by it 'starting' one month ago.
Eh, give it time. These things take a while to set up because Dutch has gotta figure out all the stats and shit.
