I keep coming back here very so often, as if it would make my wanting to return any better. I don't know why that would be. I would just disappear again and regret it again, I'm sure.

I'm just... really in a bad time. I feel awful. I'm don't think I have the strength of will to show my face here again after letting everyone down.

Ahh so you have some dangerous adventure going on? Well then can I interest you in the Slobbering Drunk special? Everything you ordered, plus two bottles of Rum for only 5 payments of 10 woolongs more?

I'm afraid I'll have to pass up on that; I've got a quart of grog back in my ride. That reminds me, though, do you accept payment in gellids? Better yet, what's the exchange rate around here?
I need a bottle of Jack Daniels, a jar of cave-slime resin, and two- no, make that three shots of gold nitro.

...If you REALLY must know, I need to get drunk, storm a citadel and shove one up MacGuyver's ass all at the same time. Hopefully the rest will come naturally.
Though the light was sparse at first, the provision of the Rider's flaming trail combined with some luminescence gave some visibility to the cavern. Sazh was tempted to engage small talk with Saber, but he kept looking back to that recent other man that had appeared only to stop himself. From what he had seen, Saber had some good relation to Archer, and Sazh's own social experience spoke of how sensitive such things could be. He didn't want to agitate it, as curious as he might've been to know more.

Then there was the big creature. A big, ugly, flaming creature that Sazh wanted nothing to do with. Unfortunately, the flaming skeleton had no regards to such desires and dove in with skulls blazing and chains whipping, screaming out taunts. What a fantastic plan; wake the dragon-thing up so it could roast everybody in the room.

Saber had quickly stepped forth to attempt to mend the wounded situation as best as possible, lending her skill to attempt to suppress the fiend and allow everyone else to pass in the meantime. "Hang on, now," Sazh spoke out, quickly unsheathing his pistols into each hand, "Long as I got these, I can help!" Several others meant to stay behind and fight as well, including Archer and that loud clumsy guy from earlier. Also, the lady's cow was trying to... seduce it? That was the only thing that could describe that action...

All the fighters present sprung into action as the beast retaliated hard. Onyx-color armor hardened further, outlined by glowing lines of molten power. The blaze of searing heat it released only seemed to have been enhanced by the rider's fire, which spoke volumes against Sazh and his primary Fire-elemental magic. He only barely managed to get out the way as the flame lash came close, only for it to be suppressed by a pair of swords Archer had conjured from seemingly nowhere. Now knowing that his own fire magic was useless, Sazh found himself momentarily stumped as to how exactly he was to bolster his way through this toughened foe. Electric shocks, perhaps? He had to try something, even from the back row.

"Here goes-!" The l'Cie breathed, seizing a surge of magic from his brand and gathering it withing his guns. Sazh unleashed several volleys of lightning-charged shots, intending to pelt at the face but content to strike anywhere, as long at the impact soaked through. Even if he wasn't doing much damage, if they could bring this beast to a stagger point, then they might be positioned to deal far more damage when and if he was more vulnerable.
Posting from Hawaii. I do have an internet connection secured at where I am staying, so I should be able to post. It still remains, though, that I may not be able to post at a consistent pace because of my doing events on the island, but at least I will be posting. Which might be good, because I was hoping if I couldn't that someone might puppet Sazh with the actions I outlined, but nobody did so, so I'll just post anyways,
From about this point onwards, I'm going to be gone in Hawaii for 10 to 13 days, in which I cannot guarantee any possibility of being able to post.

If you need actions from the Jotunheim: Assume the Captain will at some point join the assembly on the Jedi ship after reviewing navigational data. Lieutenant Atterberg will be on the shuttle to the Andromeda, while Lieutenant McKellen will remain on the Jotunheim to tour whomever arrives from the shuttle exchange. The basic stuff for Wave Motion and Intra-dimensional travel for the Jotunheim's touring can be sort of obtained by prowling the R-Type Wiki, though I'd be happy to go more in depth in a post when I can most soon get the chance to.

If you need Sazh's actions to move along: at this point, he would be willing to join the fight with the volcanic wyvern thing with Saber, GR and Archer. He'd be more defensive, using his magic to boost his allies while letting off flurries of Vega rounds occasionally. Assume he just tends to follow Saber.
Sazh merely watched in idle at the splay of commotion presented here. At least, for the moment, it was all starting to point towards a specific direction in topic. For the sake of his own mental preference, though, he did not engage further, nor did he listen too carefully; at least, not beyond the point where it was agreed to stick together rather than split up. In more simple terms, it was probably a better idea, just for the sense of safety in numbers. Something that could be subject to change at any point during the future, but for now...

As the Ghost Rider drove off in a wake of flames and skeletal cackling, though, Sazh perked up again. In a very timely moment, too, as some of the people present here thought their allegiance held better with the rider and moved to follow him. With the apparent ideal of sticking together being thrown out the window, the l'Cie debated between joining that cave-ward party to up their numbers, or stick with the main group already comprised here.

Looking to Saber for some opinion on this matter, Sazh found her caught up with the appearance of someone that might've been pointedly meaningful to her, from Sazh's view. She tossed aside that choking emotion, though, and decisively moved to pursue the other leaving individuals along the fiery trail.

Welp. Follow the white rabbit sword-wielding lady soldier, I suppose...

As Saber departed in the direction of the cave, the l'Cie broke into a jog to follow suit, albeit lagging behind somewhat. "Hold on, now, I'm coming with you guys!"
With nothing really better queued in his judgement, Sazh is probably just gonna follow Saber's lead; the only real reason of that being "she seems like like Lightning but without the headstrong stubbornness." Honestly, I feel the best way to portray Sazh's allegiances in this scenario just revolve around him making parallels to his previous allies.

@Dblade: Well, it IS pretty dark in the cave. You could have him hiding in the corners, or something. After all, you have vision when the others have to rely on light sources.
