Now this fight was getting back into the swing of things with Tangela switching to an all out attack. This was no matter as he knew what to do about it. Martin gave out his new battle plan for Nincada to follow."Nincada, use Harden three more times, then once you maxed out your armor, go in and use Leech Life on Tangela. The damage means nothing anymore. Once you go in, don't stop attacking. Trust in your armor, as it will be far stronger than any demon that opposes us. Nothing will crack you, nothing will stop you, nothing will prevent our victory. Turn even the life of your opponent to your will and make them pay for crossing our path. This fight is already over, you just don't know it yet."

This fight was coming to its last stretch of the fight. He could see it was coming to an end, but how it would finish, was hopes for him to win. Nincada gave a nod, continuing to harden it's shell over and over, taking the vine whips. Each use made them sting less and less, before it was time to go in. Nincada scrambled forward, heading in for payback on that damage. Time to get aggressive on Tangela. As long as he could still hit his opponent, it didn't matter what they did to him. Martin already figured the first Scratch didn't matter anymore so it was going to be a cakewalk as long as Nincada held on until it was time to go on offense.

Martin knew this was bound to happen. His Pokemon was asleep, and he had no way to actually wake it up. He still had no other choices to swap. The only good news about this was getting two Hardens in earlier for this event. At least Nincada should in theory be able to tank the hits. All he could do was wait for Nincada to wake up despite the pounding he was taking from hit after hit of Vine Whip. If there was one thing Martin was confident in, it was Nincada's ability to stick around for a long time in a fight. Still, he had no defense for sleep attacks. His only hope was to use Harden until the damage didn't matter, then steamroll this opponent. "Sleep, what an underhanded fight, King. I guess that which you call a monster is exactly what I expected. No matter, you shall not crack our armor. We will not stop until you are beaten. Rise and shine, Nincada. You need to use Harden again when you wake up." Waiting, the worst part of sleeping Pokemon. Eventually it would be his time to get back in, but that was all he can do, wait.
I'm not concerned at how small the post is. Battles are short, that's just how they work. No matter the power of the fighters. They also go a lot quicker, so it will all be over soon. Er... After I spam Harden from a safe distance for a bit. No one is prepared for triple Defense Nincada swinging for the fences.

Nincada managed to free himself and had the time for a Harden. Martin was relived that he wasn't stuck, until it turns out even Tangela can use sleep moves. He knew he could dodge this one, unlike the sound of Sing. If he kept up the defense, then even if Nincada was asleep, the damage wouldn't matter at all. This was going to be a battle of who has the better luck. He spoke up his annoyance at the tactic to his opponent, "Are we really going down this path again? No bother, get out of the way and use another Harden. Let none touch you, Nincada." Nincada nodded and moved away from the spores, preparing another Harden. Defense was a lot easier when there was no concern for offense at the moment. The earlier Scratch was already wrote off as a wasted attack in Martin's mind. He should have just started with this tactic. A reminder for the next battles against a stronger opponent. Since Tangela couldn't move, staying out of range will be the easy part. The challenge will be when it's time to go back on the offense.

With the first attacks used, the King was intimidated. He was in fear of how scary Martin was acting. Now this is what being a Dark Knight meant, cowering before him. The battle on the other had was going to be tougher than expected. Tangela was holding up against Nincada pretty well. Constrict wasn't too much of a bother, but getting wrapped up could be a problem. No matter, if the damage was likely to be healed, then all he needed to do was make sure the damage didn't matter at all. "Nincada, break out of that hold and armor up with Harden. If it can't hurt you, then this will be an easier fight. Don't let yourself get beaten by some weakling." Nincada struggled to get free of his opponent. Preparing for a longer fight with Harden. While the opponent might get some health back, it won't matter if it lacks the power to win against Nincada. Martin gave a smirk, this was looking to be a piece of cake.

Martin was prepared to bite the bullet, it was a gamble to keep running towards the sound of the voice. Skitty spun around to face it's opponents and sung another song. What threw Martin off was that Skitty hit it's trainer and put her out cold. Nincada didn't stir from his concentration and ended it with one last attack. Holding back a laugh, Martin was trying his best to take this seriously. He was supposed to be some kind of villain, but here was a trainer sleeping while standing up. Thankfully the "King" stepped forward,t he last defender of his noble castle. Now this was the final boss fight, and he was the boss. Martin coughed before regaining his composure. His opponent was giving such a long speech, complete with the entire backstory on his champion. Part of him wanted to just attack while he was talking, but might as well put on his own show.

"Are you done talking, foolish King? Give your final speech while you can, for even your best mercenary fell before me. No more hiding behind your Knights, your guards, not even the hired help. Let's see if you really are worthy of the title, before I take even that away from you as well. I said it before, but I'll say it again. My Nincada will end this fight quickly. I do not need to fear any dark beasts you own, for mine is the true face of fear. Go quickly and use Scratch!

Nincada was less impressed by it's current opponent, but still charged again into battle. With his defense, the best and quickest way to hit his opponent was head on. Martin was still enjoying the speech he gave. This was great being some villain invading a kingdom.
Hello from the other side. Just lurking around because not much happens. So how does one define soon? Is it 9-14 days?
I'm fully fine with following my battle till the end if I have to. I guess mine just looks long cause I decided to become ye old king of the slums instead of training. I could not pass up a tournament of the lightweights, so I must assert myself as the terrible Dark Knight. My Nincada will be in the top one percentage! Also, low level fights are very simple, spam my one attack and maybe consider the other one move, hmmmm. So little choices, so much time to think.

Martin was amazed at how their tactic was use Sing until they win. Some strategy, even if it could potentially stop them, this was risky for both of them. Even if he wanted to do something different, it wouldn't matter. Martin put on his best villain voice to intimidate his opponent. "So, this is your plan? Just keep singing until we fall asleep? Pity, I thought this would be an interesting fight. Use Scratch again, and stop that voice! At best, Martin figured he can stop any use of Tail Whip with Harden. What had him wondering was why Skitty wasn't bothering to use Fake Out anymore. After this fight, he would be looking up that move, he must be missing something on it. Nincada was fighting the feeling of being tired. The music was such a soft melody, pleasant to hear and soothing. His head shook again, pursuing the Skitty. With tired eyes, he still went after the prize. With another swing of his claws, potentially an ending to this song.

The fight ground to a halt as Tail Whip was followed by Harden. Martin was unwilling to let Skitty get any advantage in this fight. He wasn't expecting Sing to be a move it knew though. If it worked, he would be left defenseless to whatever happened next. If he did a hard attack, would it be good enough? He couldn't trade Nincada out or do anything besides attacking. The damage was low, so he might be able to tank it. No, the time was calling for action. "Nincada, get in there and silence that Skitty with another Scratch! Make sure it doesn't bore you to sleep." Nincada was looking a bit drowsy, perhaps from boredom or the singing. Whatever the reason, it still rushed at Skitty with it's claws ready to be used again.
