Actually that is wrong. A CS is the **Basis** of your character, and any good form of character will be dynamic. Because of this, they're just as likely to change as the plot itself is. As long as a character continues acting in a similar manner due to that being said characters current personality, then it's all good. Besides, sometimes people will change their actions when faced with people or situations that they recognize as needing a different response. It's just how people are. A good character will be as imperfect as the person playing them is.
