Where'd Jones go? Isn't he supposed to be doing reviews/approvals.
You may do whatever you like; I take constructive criticism quite well. Before you go, let me address a few general things I'm not entirely keen on being criticized for:

  • Number of Powers. I'm quite aware he has several and many of them are relatively powerful. I'm aware that in most cases, this would make a character weaker or more diluted, aka a Gary Sue. What I combat that with is the fact the character has depth and development, his abilities are across the board with inverse relationships to each other, many of them aren't available unless he is in demon form and his demon form is both limited by a mechanic and his internal plot.

  • Number of Skills. He's ninety. He's had a whole lifetime to develop them.

  • He's the brother of Nightcrawler and requires retconning the story. I know exactly how to do that without negatively influencing anything while adding depth and opportunities. Azazel had dozens of other children.

  • His abilities are strong. No they're not. He has one strong ability: Attraction. All the others are meant to be weaker than their pure counterparts, with the exception of flame manipulation. That's not as weak, but he still is weaker than mutants like Pyro. Additionally, his abilities are not notably strong until he is a demon and again I reiterate that is a short time span that won't happen frequently if at all.
My character is Inkubus. lol He's also not exactly a conventional Telepath.
So... did everyone just overlook Inkubus?
If you read real close, the leader disappeared first. I was giving you a chance to play Paul as you see fit if he's going to follow him.
The top telepathic mutants go as far as Professor X, Jean Grey, Psylocke, the Shadow King and Emma Frost. The Shadow King is easily the weakest as both Emma Frost and Professor X have beaten him individually, but he was 'in ancient times' considered the strongest telepath in existence and could exist solely on the telepathic plane. This sets the bar. Professor X has beaten Psylocke and Jean Grey even absorbed his powers, so he's null; the only reason he was around was because he could use Cerebro nearly as well as Professor X. This essentially leaves the top spots for Emma Frost, Jean Grey and Professor X.

Now, let's look at these three. Of the three, all of them have existed independently on the telepathic plane, which is an accomplishment in and of itself. Canonically, Emma Frost has beat Jean Grey (in earlier conflicts) telepathically and Professor X was able to lock away the Pheonix Force with several mental barriers to help her control her power. Ultimately, Jean Grey is the only tekeinetic in the group. Professor X and Emma Frost are solely Telepaths. Emma Frost has accomplishments such as taking over and using the bodies of other Omega-level mutants and even using their powers better than them; cite her interactions with Iceman. Professor X is the foremost user of Cerebro, has battled multiple telepathic enemies simultaneously and has resisted the telepathic assaults of both Jean Grey and Emma Frost.

In terms of sheer power, Professor X has canonically beaten Emma Frost, but in terms of utility she can do everything he can - including use Cerebro on a global scale. Professor X is for all intents and purposes the stronger of the two, even if he cannot perform all the same things. This would leave Jean Grey and Professor X as the top spots. Now, here are some facts. Professor X put mental blocks on Jean Grey that neither SHE ALONE -OR- Emma Frost could unlock. Through time and effort, it took five telepaths of at least-alpha level whom also served as the host for the unlocked Pheonix Force AND Jean Grey being manipulated to unlock the barriers on her own mind. Canonically, she had never beaten or excelled Professor X in a telepathic battle; in fact, she lost several.

There is no instance in mainstream or even common source canon that shows Jean Grey beating Professor X BEFORE she unlocked the Pheonix Force and it is entirely unfair to judge what she does afterwards. She has her full potential unlocked, is fueled by infinite cosmic power, has control over life and death and is easily in the top ten most powerful Marvel characters right under entities such as the personification of Death itself. Additionally, during her time as a mutant, she had to train herself telepathically and telekineticaly AND had far less experience than Professor X. In short, even if she had the potential to be more powerful than him, she literally never was. Whether you want to argue she could potentially be more powerful or not, the fact remains that Professor X remained the strongest telepathic mutant in Marvel continuum whether it was for the sake of plot or convenience. Those are facts.

That isn't true, Jean Grey is on par with Professor X as an Omega level mutant.

True! But she did not become more powerful than Professor X's telepathically until she harnessed the Pheonix Force. As a matter of fact, he had entirely blocked part of her mind out in canon so that she could repress it. Logically, it's not fair to say if Pre-Pheonix Force Jean Grey was stronger telepathically, but I make the claim because she never canonically out-performed Charles until far later.

Pheonix Force OP as fuck. I refuse to acknowledge her as anything less than a lesser deity once she unlocks it for use.
An Alpha-level telekinetic, Tom is one of the most dangerous individuals around. He is inventive with his attacks and is capable of defeating some of the Danger Room's highest settings single-handedly simply through the versatility of his power. His control is so fine that he can exclude allies and civilians from even his most brutal area-of-effect attacks. or even affect things at a molecular level in a limited fashion, though this takes great concentration and is very tiring, and can't really do more than heat, chill, compress or disperse things.

Let's look at arguably the most powerful telekinetic in the Marvel continuum: pre-Phoenix Force Jean Grey. Jean Grey had an insane amount of power, so much that her telekinesis could overpower Magneto - another alpha level mutant - in control over a single metal object. Yet, in terms of control, she could NEVER do the things Tom can. As a matter of fact, it's speculated Emma Frost has the most control over her telekinesis even though Jean's is far more powerful. What needs clarified is how much FORCE can be put behind the KINESIS aka KINETIC ENERGY of this mutation in combination with how much it can be controlled. For instance, Emma Frost can use her telepathy to take over minds and use the mutant powers of her host. She could utilize control over kinetic energy for people like Robert Drake far more than he could and even use his powers to a greater extent due to her control and knowledge. That's canon. Those are facts. I think clarity as to his finite control, his large-scale control, his power output and his multi-tasking need to be elaborated upon if an Alpha-level telekinetic is to be considered.

Telekinesis is not overpowered. Unchecked telekinesis is, and that is true for ANY ability.
No opinions or input? >.<

Edit: No character should EVER have stronger telepathy than Professor X. Professor X also did not have telekinesis, and if he did, it was a relatively weak secondary mutation. Professor X, for all intents and purposes, was the strongest telepathic mutant in the Marvel Universe until you start getting into excessively powerful multi-verse characters.

Name. Atius | Adrian de Zelli

Age. 92

Alias. |nʞubus

Years Attended. Founding Member of the Xavier Institute for the Gifted Youth

Status. Honorary X-Men, Professor of Social Sciences such as macro- and micro-economics, business administration and finance management (an additional PhD in Psychology, but handed over the class.)

Known Family. Azazel (father), Nightcrawler (paternal half-brother)

Appearance. Adrian has two forms due to his abilities. One is his regular form and looks relatively human, save the possibility for being inhumanely good-looking. The second is his Neyaphem form, or a form in which he stops suppressing his mutant bloodline.

Abilities. Adrian has several abilities, however, most are only available during the use of his demonic form.

Teleportation In all forms, Adrian can teleport, albeit this is highly limited, especially in comparison to the teleportation abilities of others with this ability. Adrian can only ever teleport a few feet at a time, and does so by shifting into a brimstone dimension, thus causing the odor of brimstone to follow him every time he uses this ability. In his human forme, Adrian can only teleport once every fifteen seconds and extended uses of teleportation will wear him out (the use of twenty-five jumps begins its taxation). In his demonic forme, Adrian can teleport twice in five seconds, but still at the same distance. Overall, Adrian cannot teleport for any distance greater than nine feet, nor can he teleport others or heavy equipment. Items such as swords or armor have little taxation on him, however, larger items, such as a war hammer, would drastically reduce his capabilities.

Spatial Awareness In all forms, Adrian has an innate ability to map about the area around him. In the specific case of Adrian, the ability is psychic thus is rooted to telekinesis. This ability works in conjunction with his teleportation, and essentially makes his teleportation dangerous without it.

Telekinesis Adrian can use telekinesis in all forms, but it is very weak in his human forme. The ability can be trained and honed, however, it is a low-potential ability for his human forme. It is truly only capable of quick pushes or pulls, for example pulling a gun to his hand. Anything heavier than a simple briefcase is most likely outside the scope of his human abilities, and is highly taxing as well as requires a high level of concentration. In his demonic forme, this ability becomes significantly stronger, to the extent he is able to construct large domes for barriers, knock back entire crowds and lift people up with only his mind.

Telepathy Adrian can use telepathy in all forms, and is inversely strong to his telekinesis. Whereas his telekinesis is weak in his human forme, his telepathy is very powerful. He can read minds and step into memories, as well as influence people simply by speaking to them. His capabilities with the human mind are very notable, although not on par with the likes of Charles Xavier. Upon taking his demon forme, this ability all but vanishes.

Attraction The 'signature' ability of Adrian, and possibly earning him his Alias, he is capable of literally attracting the opposite sex on a physical and metaphysical plane. Using pheromones in combination with his psychic prowess, he is able to influence the female gender romantically and sexually, most likely to an even greater extent than a mind control expert or even Charles himself. This ability does not fade in his demon forme; it simply shifts. Instead of being charming and suave, his strength and power in his demon forme in combination with this ability causes attraction through intimidation, and possibly causes effects similar to Stockholm syndrome.

Enhanced Physical Capabilities When in demon form, Adrian becomes stronger and faster, capable of tossing cars like napkins, running an excess of sixty miles per hour and having reflexes capable of dodging bullet fire. These abilities become even stronger in the presence of fire.

Hellfire Although Adrian cannot simply 'create' fire, he can manipulate any flame present and turn it into a dark green flame that burns at several times its regular intensity. He can apply this fire to any weapons or simply manipulate it telekinetically. This green fire burns hot enough to instantly melt steel and make ice explode from the energy transition. Additionally, Adrian can heal himself if engulfed in flames during his demon form. Hellfire itself is only available to Adrian in demon form, however Adrian can still manipulate regular fire.

Daemona Vita A trait shared by his father, Azazel, and most other demon mutants, this ability alters the life force of Adrian. Although he is not immortal, his aging is slowed and his life force is considerably harder to tamper with. In his demon forme, his regular life force dwindles away excessively fast, causing his transformations to be short-lived, elsewise his human forme will literally die and force Adrian to remain in demon forme permanently. This ability is both a great strength and a great weakness as it makes his transformations, which would normally be his greatest strength, limited and possibly detrimental, as his dwindling life force as a demon exhausts him as a human.

Backstory.
Adrian was born Atius, son of Azazel and hopeful incarnate and entrance into the world of man. Atius, as a child, was sly, devious and intelligent and as an adolescent was even worse. Born in 1922 in Detroit to a telepath mother that Azazel communicated with from his plane, Atius was born with a specific goal and purpose. His father had manipulated the mortal world to create a chaotic realm for him to grow up in under the watchful eye of two of his followers. Atius never knew his mother, for she died in birth; Atius was born in his demon forme and drained her of her human life force. He was raised by men whom were essentially mobsters, although their role in the criminal world was solidified by their mutant abilities, which were bestowed upon them through rituals to Azazel.

Atius was raised through the era of prohibition and was raised inside the mob, thus was corrupt from the beginning. His mutant abilities only made his potential even worse, and overall he was being manipulated to perform ritual after ritual that would bring him one step closer to becoming the next vassal of his father. This went on until Atius stumbled upon the truth; after overhearing the men he had grown up with and treated as fathers speak to Azazel using his newfound telepathic abilities, he realized what he was. He reflected upon all the things he had done, all the pain he had caused and the thought that his life was not his.

He refused. Atius fled Detroit and journeyed to New York, there starting a string of businesses. It was impossible for him to completely escape the criminal life. Whether he manipulated oppressed women of the era to join speak-easies, or he simply ran bootlegging operations, Atius broke the law to make his way by. Ultimately, he Atius adopted the name Adrian de Zelli and started a ring of legit jazz joints funded by his illegal operations. Adrian created havens for mutants, as he was, and did his best to use the money he made exploiting people to also give them a fair chance. The whores of his speak-easies were often found real jobs while Suffrage was being pushed; his bootlegging operations eventually ended when prohibition did and his jazz houses eventually picked up.

Adrian was a type of Robin Hood for mutants and runaways, but he also protected those he could. Adrian was not above using his demon form to simply kill those who tried to harm his workers or interfere with his bootlegging operations. He often protected his businesses himself. Adrian caught the eye of several other men attempting to create a better world for mutants, but most took note of his underhanded and immoral methods. Regardless, Adrian became a public hero during World War II as the small fortune he amassed through his illegal operations was essentially used to fund his entire community and several jazz houses throughout World War II and the Great Depression. At the end of World War II and the end of several of the legislation set forth, the Golden Era ushered in and began to rain down on Adrian.

A man who once had to protect whores that he pimped out was now a man that could afford them real jobs, even though many started out and still are working as his whores. A man who killed for illegal booze was now selling them and music - adding to culture. A man who had a small fortune from breaking the law handed it out to those who worked for them, and made sure his businesses - that fed families - did not fail. A man who fought and killed to give people who were different a chance. Adrian embodied the spirit held within the Xavier Institute far before it was founded and was a possible inspiration for it when it finally came to be. Adrian, although not specifically a man of virtue, was the first of those who believed mutants could be integrated into society.

Adrian continued expanding his party houses and safe havens across the nation, becoming a self-made millionaire after The Great Depression. Although Adrian never allowed himself to become a public image, among the right rings his name was well-known. Adrian and his reputation only grew to the extent he was forced to transfer from the universities he attained his several degrees due to the pressure they were getting from interests groups. Although it took almost twice as long, Adrian attained degrees in several fields ranging from economics to a PhD in Psychology. For decades, Adrian used his knowledge and wealth to continue his efforts to integrate mutants into society where he could as well as made his business practices completely ethical as well as dabbled in other fields.

With his track record and history, Adrian was one of the first individuals to come to mind with Charles Xavier intended on founding his institution. Adrian not only acted as a teacher, but one of the prime investors and founding members. For the most part, the individuals at the Institution merely believe Adrian is a telepath with a few quirks, far weaker to the Professor himself; the Professor, and possibly the other founding members, are the only knows to know the truth of his nature. Ultimately, Adrian serves as the school's professor of several social science classes and stands proudly among the other teachers and founding members. It is a rarity for Adrian to involve himself in the affairs of the X-Men, as rarely does he believe their goals coincide with his, but he has in the past acted alongside them and if need be will again.
