Always good to see more potential roleplayers!
As a member of the roleplay, I can only say it's interesting and would benefit from a few more peeps! I'm completely new and Beta, as well as the others more familiar with the setting, were a great help in making my character. :D
It was growing dark...

Kino knelt slightly, his bow on the ground with one hand steadying him while the other was firmly placed upon his knee. He panted heavily as he looked at his shadow clone which appeared similarly tired, but nowhere near the same degree of exhaustion. Kino looked over to his second shadow clone that was simply reading books, albeit now that it was growing dark, that would likely come to an end. Kino allowed his eyes to dart back and forth between the two, allowing a moment of thought before he stood up and at least appeared to regain composure. The shadow clone that was reading set its book down after marking its page before they were both dispersed, causing Kino to gasp deeply as he felt a rush of information and fatigue hit him. He had been releasing arrow after arrow at one shadow clone, trying to force his clone to absorb it without dispersing, and the resulting harm done to it hit Kino far harder than expected. What truly hit Kino, however, was the knowledge...

"Lightning release, weak against wind, strong against ground - unique combination with water...

Lightning release, does not electrify a blade, instead causes it to vibrate...

Vibrations cause numbess and loss of feeling...

Vibrations increase speed and cutting power, like Wind Release...

Chakra itself is a combination of both his spiritual and physical energy...

The jutsu he wants is not just spiritual or physical but both...

His arrow, the Ten-no-Ya, is a fully physical technique...

His Lighting Release uses more spiritual energy than physical energy...

His chakra is still a mix of both types of chakra....

Chakra must be mixed three times to make a single jutsu with both transformations...

Lightning release is not real electricity at first...

Everything I have been doing is wrong..."

Information flooded Kino as well as fatigue. All the research he had done on chakra, on how it is formed between spiritual and physical energy to make releases and how each release goes through a transformation - all things that were touched in the academy but left unexplained - filled his mind and forced insight onto his abilities. The previous hours of training, trying to 'electrify' his Ten-no-Ya was all wrong - all wasted time. He was merging chakra that was true electricity, far beyond his skill level, especially with very little training with Lightning Release. Only now did Kino realize that his first steps into elemental jutsu would be small, as he was far from learning any jutsu that was above the basic C-rank he should be using. A whole new type of transformation, and to use it with any jutsu he had required merging shape and nature transformations - a rare feat for even Jounin. It was beyond Kino, and he grasped that.

Kino raised his hands to create another shadow clone, this time only one. In the darkness, it darted back a distance while Kino raised his bow. The clone grabbed a piece of wood Kino had chopped from a tree, simply waiting with it. Kino loaded an arrow into his bow and this time poured chakra into it, molding it as he had been, but this time not into an arrow made of chakra, like his Ten-no-Ya, but an arrow of wood and metal. Before Kino could even fire his arrow, the wooden shaft of the arrow splintered and broke off. He was successful in giving it chakra, but its materials were not suitable for conducting it. If Kino intended on making an elemental arrow jutsu, regular arrows would not do, even if they could conduct his chakra. He would need metallic ones.

Kino sighed and dispersed his clone. He had little chakra left anyway, especially after making nearly ten shadow clones for the day. Reflecting back on his day of wasted training, he realized that if anything he had gained a feel for his chakra, and the ability to absorb Lightning-transformed chakra into his body to a far lesser degree. Picking up his books, Kino headed home. Although it was dark, his family - his uncle and brother - still waited for him. They had set aside a plate for him and both of them had a myriad of questions for him, mostly to their dismay. To his brother, he had not mastered any new technique and to his uncle he had not tested any new bow. What he did need, however, were arrows of metal, and his uncle could do such for him....

That next morning...

When fired from his bow, an arrow normally only lodged two or three inches into solid hardwood, it was the fate of his bow. It was its limit. This time, the arrow not only pierced through a solid 8 inch block, but through Kino's shadow clone and through another tree only to be lodged into the second tree it was fired into. Although he thought of his uncle as unreliable, his uncle paid to have several arrows of fully metallic builds made and brought to Kino. As always, Kino was forced by his own mental barriers to disregard the notion, thinking that any success with his arrows he would have would only provide more commercial business for his uncle, but Kino could not disregard the effect. By enhancing a fully-metallic arrow with his lightning-transformed chakra, he could overcome its weight and give it far more power than before.

Kino repeated his shots. He had a shadow clone only to retrieve his arrows, and soon enough his accuracy and skills with the arrows increased greatly. Not only could he hit his target from thirty yards, he could blast through it and four other trees simply by giving his arrows more chakra. He could fire them off as fast as he could load them, which was admittedly slower than a regular arrow due to the added weight of the metal shafts of these arrows. Kino accomplished these feats in under an hour with the proper tools that morning, but still did not feel it constituted a jutsu. Giving an affinity to a weapon was not a jutsu, it was a skill. All Kino was truly doing was practicing with his lightning release and with that in thought created his maximum of three shadow clones, two of them firing arrows into and through trees, destroying part of a forest while the other dodged, retrieved and fired them back into a target dummy, all to keep his arrows together.

It was not long before Kino realized that just a few minutes of repeated fire drained his chakra pools greater than firing his Ten-no-Ya, and was forced to stop. Repeating a simple skill gave him little valuable experience, and he sought out to do the one thing he thought might accelerate his training: find Kirugetsu. It wasn't even noon that Kino set out to find his sensei, mostly just by asking around to see if Kirugetsu or his new teammates were seen and ultimately by asking the Jounin center, which every active Jounin was required to stop by daily. His determination was to find Kirugetsu and simply ask him what he felt the best step was to develop a real jutsu. Merging the two types of transformation felt like an impossible to reach goal for him, so he had to find something entirely new. He had to travel down a different route, and he was seeking guidance.
"I am Utaka Tsukino. I doubt you've heard that name before. Even in the academy, I was called Kino."

Upon hearing his name, anyone from their graduating class would know who Kino was. He was the strongest of his age division, but more over, was the shinobi that made his name not only once, but twice, and each time for a different reason. The first claim to fame he had within the little world that the academy made was when he pronounced he would be a shinobi archer, which most took as a joke. It wasn't until day after day that Kino brought his bow to school with him, practiced with it, and could perform stunts like shooting down shuriken from the more advanced students that the concept of shinobi archer was accepted as a possibility. With his unique performance, high-skill level and high test scores, Kino was placed into the top bracket of his class, and that was is the origin of where Kino made his real claim. Most - even some of the teachers - believed Kino only had his position in the top bracket due to his unique fighting style with the bow, thus a test was conducted, even if a bit cynical...

Sixteen of the top bracket students were pit against each other in a tournament-style series of fights, which eventually was dubbed the Academy Arena and made into a staple for the next year. Kino placed seventh. Seventh out of sixteen of the finest of the academy. Kino, who was thought to only be a practical shinobi on paper, proved his worth and proved several of his instructors wrong, and that is where he made his name. After those fights, Kino was rarely seen; he only showed up for testing alongside over a hundred other students. He was allowed to practice alone and normally only sparred with the top of his class. The fact neither of them knew him by appearance alone made perfect sense, as Kino rarely socialized. But his name. Kino. To his peers, to those who were in his class and heard the stories, that should be known.

"We're in the same squad, Maruki. I'm sure Kirugetsu-sensei will have us training relentlessly, and I doubt it will be alone," Kino replied to Maruki. Maruki, although he rejected assistance from Kino, at least looked forward to the notion of training with Kino. The other girl, Shisen, however, seemed more than reluctant to give him an opportunity. Speaking ill words that she thought no one would pick up, Kino only glared at her with disgust. Kino stopped walking, being near the hospital and no longer helping Maruki anyway, then simply said, "I'll have an elemental jutsu prepared as soon as I can, Kirugetsu-sensei. My uncle heard I was being placed on your squad, and took pride in it. I believe he has something waiting for me. I will pick it up, then immediately begin working on developing a new jutsu. When it is ready, I want to fight them - both."

And, with that, Kino was gone in a single Body Flicker. Although it was doubtful those two would pick it up, Kirugetsu might - as his honed senses most likely heard Shisen, and then picked up on the tension it created with Kino - have felt it. Kino was angry, and that anger spurred determination. Within his words was a trace of conviction...

A Pale Imitation

Summary
Kirugetsu takes Shisen and Maruki to the hospital after their fight and introduces Kino as their new teammate.

"
That bitch just got in our way...

KoRe was already under the influence of Kra(Ne) and the interference from Shard was of no help. He did not allow his gaze to falter for a second, barely listening to the girl as he had his sword still raised at Dio. It wasn't until the girl named Shard actually appeared beside Dio that Kore became perturbed on an even greater level. It was that moment when the words of Kra(Ne) began echoing inside him, bouncing off the walls of his mind with even more ferocity than words before. The rage inside KoRe was building, and was about to be unleashed.

This bitch just tried to tell you what to do...

KoRe only needed the steam off of her gauntlet to set him off. With a wicked downward slash, KoRe attempted to cut through Shard like hot butter. Additionally, he began absorbing the kinetic energy from the air, making it slightly harder for her to move through it. KoRe had all intentions on ending her life right then and there and was going to steal her kinetic energy to slow her down for every part of the fight. His entire body was tense, his mind set in stone. Stein was not intervening, for whatever reason, and that left KoRe to fall into a dark place where Kra(Ne) had immense influence. Kra(Ne) wanted a fight; he wanted blood. The minion died far too fast for his taste, so he intended on taking his time cutting up Shard."

As just as KoRe felt himself give in to his desire to completely slaughter the girl, he was tugged back into reality. It was as if being pulled out of water and feeling the refreshing breeze dance along his skin. The visions he had just saw swirled into a whirlpool of befuddled confusion. Stein had stepped in and forcibly snapped KoRe out of his delusions caused by Kra(Ne), although he could not save KoRe from his new found hatred of Shard, Stein could only stare at the girl, his blood running cold and for a moment his entire body and mind hollow. The hatred that flowed through him began to dilute, but not disappear and he returned to his original nature.

"KoRe, do not go to that place. That girl can help you and the one in front of you means nothing..."

KoRe, although in disdain of the thought, dropped his sword to his side. He then gently place his hand onto the shoulder of Raphaella, partially for his own sanity and partially to try and keep her from conflict. "C'mon. There are more important things, miss."
Writing Prompts

With this final restructure, I do believe I need to offer some prompts to everyone.

- Kino will be introduced to Team Moon as Beta sees fit.
- Kirugetsu will introduce Hayato to his new team.
- Division B is now full of Division A members because, in IC, Division B was mostly killed due to its poor leader, which is why the character Durn is creating for it will take over Division B.
- Division B needs to merely regroup, starting a new day with its leaders, however each of its leaders see fit, Shio and Jhino respectively. I will allow them to decide their method of picking up their new students.
If you can remain active with two characters, go for it.
They ignored you...

The words of Kra(Ne) echoed inside the mind of KoRe, reflecting off the walls of his mind and only gaining strength as it did. KoRe was serious in his question and the only one whom even seemed to care was Raphaella. Ignorance did not perturb KoRe, but a blind eye to his passionate curiosity did. Ignoring the question as to who he was insulted KoRe far more than ignoring the existence of who he is now. Or, maybe it was Kra(Ne) who was perturbed by the sentiment. It was definitely Kra(Ne) who was urging KoRe to act on his rage. Stein was either silent or suppressed, for his voice of reason was not silencing the voice of rage within KoRe...

The entire atmosphere around KoRe seemed to change as he lifted up his sword and aimed it at Dio. Although he did not position himself any closer to Raphaella, an unsung melody of assurance made it apparent that he would support her. If she was prepared to fight Dio, KoRe was prepared to kill him. KoRe was irrational at the moment, as the voice of rage echoing within him pushed aside his regular regard to those around him and he was all but forced to embrace the murderous intent within him. He need not say any words to commune his killing intent for Dio. His eyes, although hollow and black, somehow poured out a rage as ferocious as any forest fire and his stature communed his aggressive intent even further. If Dio spoke another word, another phrase of disrespect, KoRe would not need a notion from Raphaella or even Kra(Ne) to attack; KoRe was intent on lunging forward and plunging the Neocore Katana through Dio... repeatedly.
