lol I was not at all referring to you.
I fully understand that there are a few situations barring posting, however, it is growing asinine at this point.
These three could not be more different. Iroh could sense the reluctance within Shira. She made it even more obvious in her facade of respect. She may have been polite, but there was no doubt a lining of disdain for something he told her. Granted, Iroh had just told her essentially to forget everything in her past and records said she was already experienced in combat, it made sense. Ageha was eager and asking questions about their upcoming training. She seemed the most shallow, or maybe simply the most simplistic, of the group. Given her history of isolation, this also made sense to Iroh. Isao was asking questions about Iroh himself, which was just off-putting. As the youngest of the group and considered a ninjutsu prodigy, it only made sense that he would have expanded his curiosity the furthest. His expectations of the group were met, but even if they were exactly what he expected, it was impossible to completely prepare for three completely new individuals.

"I once waved the banner of Iwa. I led its resistance before an alliance with Hosuka was made. But, as I said, the past is the past, and that includes mine as well. You will not ask more of it," Iroh responded to Isao. He answered his question, even though it was ignorant to the speech given, but allowed it to slide given that Iroh asked if they had questions. Regardless, he made it firm that he would not discuss the topic further.

"As for what we shall be doing today, it's your first test. Success in battle is achieved through a hierarchy. The general commands his lieutenants, the lieutenants command their platoons, so on and so forth. There are three of you, but it is important that you know who to listen to or follow when or if I'm not present. You will work as a team, and sometimes that means compromise, and often those lower on the chain are forced to do so. That said, we will determine who here is the strongest. The test will be for you three to figure out what lesson I am trying to teach using this method. I already have my pick: Ageha. That said, Isao and Shira will have a sparring match, and the winner will spar Ageha. This gives you the chance to prove me wrong, but also takes into account my experience in combat. Any more relevant questions?' he asked them after explaining to them what they would be doing. His methods may have seemed crude and his test possibly more akin to a pissing match, but within the rough there was a diamond.
Where'd you kids go?
Iroh watched as Shira entered the woods, then sent out a quick burst of his seismic chakra through the air, just to catch their attention.

Iroh then kicked off the post he was leaning on, one of his feet being planted flat against it while his arms were originally crossed. It seemed like the thing someone far younger - for that fact, their age - would do. He looked at all three of them, scanning them over. He noted their weapons, using such to pick out who was who. "Shira Hataga. Isao Kiriyama. Ageha. I am Iroh Ikeda, the Seismic Sage. I specialize in nintaijutsu, so don't ask me about anything else. I am your new sensei."

"Your clan doesn't matter," he said while looking directly at Shira.

"Your past doesn't matter," he said after quickly changing his gaze to Ageha.

"You are now shinobi, at the lowest level," he said after once again changing his gaze to Isao.

"Before you ask questions, I want to make one thing clear. Of your graduating class, only about twenty-five percent of you are left. Hosuka-san himself told me he only expects ten percent of you to even live a year as real shinobi. Look to your left. Then your right. If the Hokage is correct, at least one of those people is likely to die in the next year - if not yourself," he told them all after finally diverting his gaze into their general direction. "It is my goal to make you beat the odds. If numbers are against you, I will show you how to disprove even the best statistics. I was told as a genin that I would never make it using taijutsu, fighting head first. I made it through two wars and a decade of Hell,"he told them all, referencing his own past in an attempt to inspire them while also strike fear into them.

Iroh then allowed a smirk to creep across his face before asking, "Questions?"
I won't be replying until I figure out the full team, but you can keep talking.
Aaaaand, we somehow made this tragic drama into a melodramatic comedy...
The Reason I hate Men

Summary
Kyou meets Kino and everything dissolves into a yelling match that Hosuka somehow wins!

Now Masaki, if I replace you with Shira, are you gonna stay active?
We have two double-players, so I don't mind him stepping in.
