Yeah, good question. And, how is the " We will each be telling our own individual stories whilst also interweaving them with the stories of the other characters. " bit supposed to work out?
Elric's Shoppe

Well from the trunk he noticed a few books, mixed alongside other adult novels that could potentially fit the bill, though none of them mentioned surgery directly. But they were anatomical books. Underneath the desk he noticed a small slot which seemed to have a book inside, though the spine was facing inward, only showing the series of pages within it.
Exosuits are really cool.

Aaanyway...

Character sheet:

Name: Yamato Sora (Surname, then given)
Race: Human
Age: 33

Personality: Sora is a dedicated detective. He’s straight-laced, hardboiled, and a dour man, with good organizational skills. (At the very least he understands his organization) That’s not to say that he’s without his vices, smoking and dames tend to be his biggest vices. He always has a pack of cigarettes on his person. When around women, particularly dames who look like they are trouble, he’ll use his rugged charms to try to get them. He also really loves dogs, and if he is near one, he’ll try to play with the canine, though not for too long if he’s in the middle of a case.
While on the case, Sora will not rest until he solves the mystery, and will do whatever it takes to solve it. Whether that means performing a stake out in a dumpster for several hours, to taking the place of a staff-member in some establishment, he’ll do it to solve the mystery.

He is also obsessed with his hobby of uncovering conspiracies, usually involving the government. In general he really enjoys mysteries and solving them.

Skills/Abilities:
- Detective: He is skilled in the arts of perception/tracking, and he has a mastery of police procedures of investigation. Whatever mystery comes his way, he is bound to find a way to solve the case.
- Keen Shot: Sora is a good shot with his hand-gun, able to do trick shots with them.
- Brawling: Sometimes the target doesn't want to come along peacefully, that is where some street brawling can help subdue the target.
- Parkour: In the pursuit of the case and targets, Sora is able to swiftly move through the crowded city environment, jumping and avoiding obstacles to find the target.
- Underworld Contacts: Sora has a ring of shadier types who give him the information he needs to solve the mystery.

Equipment:
- His Bullet-proof black trench-coat, with protective magic enhancements.
- His trusty Colt Detective Special, which instead of using normal rounds fires concentrated blasts of Ki.
- Wallet including credit cards, identification cards, and his business cards.
- Cellphone
- Car keys to his black sports car.
- Full package of cigarettes
- Small stainless steel lighter, with YSI monogrammed on it.

Brief Backstory:
Sora was born to the world with an inquisitive mind, and to a pair of parents who fostered such a mindset. His father was a detective in the local police force. He looked up to his father, and wanted to solve mysteries just like his fathers, both the criminal cases, and the conspiracies, such as the government hiding the existence of aliens and their technology. Going through the education system, he pursued his path, no, his destiny to become a Detective.

Once he finished all of his education, he pondered on whether or not he should be a Private Investigator, or a Public Investigator. He chose to be a Private Detective, and made his way to a city known for adventures and mysteries, Shinkawa, where he opened up his own office where he practices his business, under the name, “Yamato Investigation Services.”

He has his Detective Office located just above the Budou café, the local Maid Café, which he frequents often, mostly due to the fact it is just below his office.
Er uh. Would a player character who used advanced technology, instead of magic and chi be acceptable? Felt Zerohex brought up a cool point there.
I'll have the guys in the Den find the body, after enjoying their drunken shenanigans a bit more. Probably after that scene move it to day, well after more Player responses and such. Uh...

Let's see... Uh, any other characters/scenes I am missing to do?
Yeah, interested in what the setting would be like, whether more Tolkien-esque, or something more anime like.
Yeah, kinda interested in the setting and what kinda type to be expecting.
Within the Manor Hall

"Oh." Elric said keeping a polite and casual tone to his voice. "At the precise moment, I can not recall exactly for how long I've had these lodgings for. I tend not to dwell on it. Rather, I keep my mind focused on the pursuit of my work." He said, as he glanced at one of the paintings in the hall.

It was a dark environment that the painted Plague Doctor was in, his white mask with a downward curved beak stood out against the purple skies, and the blackened trees, and the rotting fields below, and engaging with a patient that was covered in a variety of tumors, with their head being a blob of misshaped flesh. Elric gave a soft smile as he looked upon it, "Ah, but yes, I must welcome you to my manor. I do hope you are enjoying what you have seen so far." He paused as he griped onto the box and book harder, "I truly do need to send out the missive to the knight and his child... Along with other activities and such I will need to do."
Maybe I should do the name of the section in bold, insteada just italics.
Well, for you personally, only thing you really need to worry about is the description of the manor and Elric yammering. Which is divide with a scene with the Gnolls. Which, I think is one page back from the current IC page.

Why I also divide the events, with the little description of what it is, makes it easier to keep track of the nonsense and apply the one that is fitting for your dudes.

And glad ya like the text and such.

Quick Edit: I probably shoooould move it to, next day, uh soon(ish) thing, something, time-wise.
