Feh. Kids these days.

This 'Rad Dan' needs a stern talking to! By his grandmother! She'd be so disappointed in him.
Herschel Orenstein grumbled out as he placed his hands on the wheels of his wheelchair. "Alright, just gi-" He paused for a moment as he watched Leo scrape up some phlegm. "Oy." He tapped on the side of his wheelchair as he glanced at Leo as he did his work. Herschel cocked his head to the side over the left as he began coughing once more.

He continued this hacking for a few more moments, before he took in a deep breath from his respirator. He glanced back at the Doctor as he finished his task and was explaining what went on. Herschel peered at him and gave a few nods of confirmation that he was listening. "Metal?" He said incredulously. His eyes widened a bit as he paused for a moment at the newest statement.

Arsenic. This statement wracked through his mind as Herschel's withered face contorted into a most somber expression. Thoughts rushed through the man's mind as he glanced down for a moment. His mind was filled with the thoughts of large crowds, and poor creatures which could only barely be called man. Herschel glanced back up after a few minutes of looking down before he shook his head. Herschel gave a slightly morose sigh.

Focusing his attention back to the Doctor his face contorted into a bit of a smile, "Not at all? Not even the slightest bit dangerous? Medical marvel you say?" Herschel began chuckling as he smirked, "He cares for his Chosen People I tell you. Hn, who's coming now? Televised?" He scowled, "This isn't one of those kids 'prank your elders' show is it?" He wagged his finger at Leo, "What is the nature of this programming? Is it something trustworthy like the News or PBS?"
Herschel listened to the doctor, as he paused for a moment. "Anyth-" He made another hacking cough. Herschel wracked with pain as his eyes watered up a bit, as a few discolored saline drops ran down his face. With a sudden movement his head jolted forward as he coughed once more. Another gooey orb of phlegm splatted into the palm of his left hand.

Herschel glanced at it carefully, as he gingerly moved his right index finger over. He poked the substance, as it slightly moved a bit. Herschel raised the phlegm towards his face as he glanced at it, while it slowly dripped through his fingers and onto his tweed pants.

"If only I had my jeweler's lens. And it was solid." Herschel paused for a moment as he left his mouth agape at a discovery he noticed. "I, there's no way there should be grey flakes in it." He peered at his phlegm as he did in fact notice, that within the ooze were scattered grey pieces within it. Oh the bits of arsenic.

Herschel's face contorted into a grimace as he began hacking some more. "S-eheee. Mu-shogge" This time some it wasn't phlegm that was released but rather, quite a bit of mucus smearing out from his nose. Herschel grumbled as he licked at his dentures, which had a bit of a black tint to the usual white condition they were supposed to be. "Ackhaaa-!" Again the fit came upon him, this time, he released a light and somewhat and strangely airy cloud of spit which was far from clear. It held a grey quality to it, much like the flakes that he found in the phlegm. It wafted a bit, before quickly descending to the floor.

Herschel took in a deep breath from the respirator as he stared at Leo. He continued breathing to maintain a calm and consistent breathing pattern instead of a coughing fit like he did before. "Doc, I think, I think something is up. Respirator may have finally gone fercockt. For sure somethin', something isn't right."

"Besides my lungs acting more meshugge than usual?" Herschel inquired as he stared at the doctor.

"The bones in my fingers ache. I've got this weird feeling between my right toes. I swear I've got a bunion on my left foot. My mouth feels drier than usual. My sinuses are stuffed up like who knows what. I've been feeling cold, but that's just because the air conditioner can't be left at a proper temperature." Herschel went on as he glanced back at Leo, "I've been producing more ear-wax than usual, at least it seems that way. And that's just to start with. Feh."

"The living assistance has been a paain. Oh how I wished I was young and spry again." Herschel rambled on, "Lapping, oh how I miss the craft." Herschel scowled, "My boy has this one little meeskait working for him. He was far from blessed, you wouldn't believe me if I told you he was never in the human sideshow. Because boy, this kid looked like it. When I saw him, oh jeez!" Herschel reached for his chest as he took a deep breath in.

"It gave my heart a startle I tell you. One that I didn't need. But boy, did that little fellow have nimble fingers for lapping jewels." Herschel chuckled a bit before scowling again, "Ugh, and he still hasn't given me a call in weeks. Feh, I've talked enough about this Bobbemeysh."

The old man glanced back at Leo, "But yeah, the lungs are acting more meshuggee than usual, for whatever reason."
"You should." Herschel gave a nod to Peaches. "Depends on the score, and the university in question. I'm sure you can transfer the credits over. Good idea to keep up your education, alongside mastering a trade." Herschel paused for a moment before removing his mask as he coughed violently again. "Euugh." He placed the respirator back on and took in a deep breath.

"Ah, my appointment." Herschel glanced back at Peaches, as he helped him to the room. "Ah, you're a good kid." Herschel glanced around in the interior of the room, "Alr-" He took his mask off as he began coughing some more into his left hand. He stared at the gooey substance of phlegm. He held it over the side of his wheel-chair as the viscous fluid slowly began dripping towards the floor.

"Euugh." Herschel made a loud snorting noise, as he tried to clear up his nasal passageway. "Alright, let's get to it."

Herschel glanced at Peaches and gave a nod to him as he helped wheel him to the waiting room, "For a Progressive, you're a good kid. And at least you're trying to join the proper branch." He took a breath in as he slowly tapped on the arm-rest of his wheel-chair.

"Ah, how do I feel about Leo?" Herschel slowly spoke, to make absolutely sure that Peaches got the message. "He's a good fellow, and a fine doctor. As you can imagine, I've had quite a few doctors over my many years." He removed his breathing apparatus as he made a hacking cough. "Ackaha! Acka!" His head violently shook forward as he spat out some phlegm. "Euuugh." Herschel noted disgusted. "As for Leo, he treats his patients well. I can respect that, he shows dedication to his work. "

He glanced down as he slowly moved his fingers. Wistfully he spoke again "Reminds me of when I was able to work. Heh." Herschel shook his head from side to side, "Oh those were the days. At least my son was able to take over the family business. I've seen other friends have the misfortune of having chayas who didn't respect the time or the passion that were put into the businesses their fathers set up. Ha, ah, while they could work their business will rot away. At least mine will live on through my kids, at least for one more generation."

Truly this night is the most evil nemesis of Captain Sunshine.
Herschel had strapped on his respirator as he was breathing in through it. His skin was covered in a series of goosebumps which had not fully disappeared yet. He stared at Peaches for a moment, a tad delirious, as both of his eyes twitched a bit. He slowly twisted his head to glance at the man. Slowly he reached for the respirator and pulled off the mask, so he could make sure they heard him.

"Oy vez mear." He said as he glanced at Peaches, "A bit, much. Tad-woozy. Still not the most dangerous thing I've been in." Herschel went back to grab the respirator to put it on. He took another deep breath, as he began winding down.
Herschel just stared at Gunther for a moment. There was something off about this situation, he could feel it. But Leo was quick with his words, "Three hours huh? He-ah, well really, if it wouldn't be too much trouble." Herschel moved his wheel-chair slightly, "It would be awfully nice for some assistance to get there. Especially considering how soon it's coming up."
Herschel just stared at Leo for a moment, as his eyes went into shock. "Progressives?!" His mouth was agape, as he held out his right index finger as it twitched a bit as he gave a scold wagging to Fargus and his crew. But he calmed down a bit upon realizing that Leo talked about proper conversion. "Whew, for a second there..."

Glancing over at Gunther he gave a slow nod, "Exactly. They don't seem to realize how good they have it. And -" He glanced back at Leo, "Those ones are just terrible." He shook his head as he made a tsking noise, "I expect you to show them on the proper path Leo, make sure they get their mikvah. And, I trust you explained how you don't mix meat and dairy?"

Sticking out his tongue he groaned a bit, before he retracted it back in. "It's a simple rule. Yet people keep violating it more, and more often. Eeech, what has become of society?"
