Jordan walked out of his entrepreneur's club as he pocketed a ten dollar bill he got from selling one of his club-mates a gemstone. "Another day, another opportunity." Jordan took another one out of his pocket and tossed it around like it was a baseball. With his free hand, he put his index finger to his chin. "Now, who to make a profit off from this time?" He said.

That's when one of the students screamed at the top of his lungs and jumped off a roof, though nailing the landing with a well-timed burst of fire. Jordan had noted that Roland doing some similar feats. He stopped tossing around the the gemstone. "Hm..." Jordan considered who he considered the school's self-appointed superhero and began to wonder if a partnership could be struck between them. He looked at the gemstone and shook it around. He had a brief partnership with Carbie, but in that short time, he was able to discern what gemstone could do what just by shaking it and feeling it. The warmth that came from the mineral caused Jordan to sigh. "Selling a fire stone to a fire-based contractor just seems redundant." He muttered. He pocketed away the gemstone. It was at that moment that his Contract, Carbie, came forth.

"Cooo..." Carbie murmured.

"Hey, Carbie. Ya got another gem for me?" Jordan looked at the gemstone on Carbie's forehead. It had been growing for a few days and was due to come off any moment. Carbie only sighed a bit and snuggled itself onto Jordan's shoulder, as if to say, 'no, not yet'. That was the biggest downside with Jordan's contract. If Carbie had been dispensing stones like mad, Jordan would be set for life... Well, more set for life. Instead, raising Carbie and getting one or two gemstones from him every week was like playing Farmville. Still, Jordan appreciated Carbie for the opportunity it gave him. He still had to consider who to sell to, though considering how everyone is out in the school campus, chances are fights will break out, and chances are, advantages will be desired.

And when there's desires, there will be opportunities.

Um, well if you're just a random Greninja, that's not really a canon character in the least since... you can be any one of the species. It's basically the same as playing a heroic mime. And if you do want to use a Pokemon, have them as part of a trainer's team like the others.

That's okay. I figured it wouldn't work, though I just wanted to confirm.
I have a quick question, and this is just for curiosity's sake (I have another idea in case this won't fly).

How acceptable are Pokemon? I had an idea of playing Greninja.
Interested, have no idea who to play though. If worst comes to worst, I'll arrange all the possible characters to play on a dart board and throw a dart.
I only bold my speeches when my characters are either...

1, Is transformed and in a suit of armor to simulate how their voice would sound behind it (you see this all the time in Iron Man and, say, Super Sentai/Kamen Rider)
2, If the character is shouting
3, If there's some possibly magic going on that is empowering the person

I never bold it completely. I also like to use colors to best match a certain power set. For example, a character in an orange suit of armor will have orange text or a person empowered with a purple aura will have purple text.
Looking forward to this as well.
Hm... I have a character idea in my head, so I guess I can say interested.

Also, it has to be inevitable, but...

There is something you should know, so I'm gonna tell you so: Don't sweat it, forget it, enjoy the show!
Not all RPGs will have their conclusion. In fact, not a lot of RPGs ever see their first IC post. Mainly because of the label of it being "dead".

However, the thing is, when is it considered "dead"? Some people say that after a week of inactivity, it's safe to say that it's "dead", but that can be averted if someone posts a week after. A month, at least for me, would be enough to say "yeah, it's dead, Jim".

I guess it can be officially dead if the GM says it is, but what happens if one of the players decides that it's "dead", either through the inactivity or something else? Does one person's thoughts confirm that it's dead? I want to ask this because I have various people using various rules of thumbs. So much in fact, that I can't even use a simple poll machine to judge the appropriate answer. I wanna hear from you:

When do you consider an RPG to be "Dead"?

For me, it has to be a month of inactivity from both IC and OOC before I can consider it dead, and even then I'll try to revive it after a week to see if it's truly dead.

@Psyga: Well, for now at least, there's no real limit aside from what people feel comfortable playing...so long as we don't end up with a player just RPing with themself the whole time.

Alright. Now to ponder if I'll stick to Jordan for now or come up with a second.
Ah, speaking of, how many characters are allowed? Just to ask.
