Sorry, I'm finding myself way too enthusiastic for this than I thought I would be when I signed up. ;P

I'm noticing a lot of tragic stories that led disabilities here. This could be one of the most depressing classes I have ever seen. Where's the simple ones like Scoliosis or deafness? Come on guys you're going to make me cry before we even start here. XD

Everyone likes to be the one with the interesting backstory. At least my character's disability is somewhat minor so he can be one of the less depressing ones. :P
Alicia's heartbeats eventually fell back into a normal rate and she had turned back around a while ago. Now, she only watched the scenery, letting herself calm down and let the situation sink in. However, no matter how hard she tried, the whole thing really couldn't soak in just right. What's happening... I'm normally more accepting of new things. She remarked as she watched the clouds tranquilly float by. Eventually, her eyes fell down and she took in just how high up she was. The platform seemed to be at least the same altitude as the giant tree's canopy. Further in the distance, a wide variety of different environments; lakes, mountains and plains, among others, painted a scene that reminded her of something out of a painting or perhaps even a video game. It seemed inviting, but Alicia still felt as if she shouldn't be there.

If I fell, I wonder what would happen? Would I survive? Would I be brought out of this dream? Would I die...? No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't shake the hurricane of thoughts and worries from her head. For a moment, she was tempted to just walk over the edge, just to see what would happen, but she refrained from doing so, out of a will not to bring any fear, worry or other negative feelings upon those with her, despite not knowing any of them. Perhaps it was a sentiment that she had come to harbor due to her being a fighter pilot. Was a fighter pilot Alicia corrected herself. She continued to stare out into the open skies, a deep yearning for her wings of metal growing inside her chest. This can't be real... can it? The girl continuously denied the situation, thinking it too unreal, but the evidence was there, which made her grow more angry by the second, angry with this new reality that couldn't be changed. A reality where she couldn't fly, where all she could do was look to the sky with a lamenting gaze.

Amazingly, she found herself missing her comrades, despite not knowing them all that well. She only had a year with them, but they had grown close. What I wouldn't give to return to that world, no matter how flawed it was. For a moment, her mind jumped through various ideas of what she could give to the powers that be in order to forsake this new life. A conclusion was quickly reached, however; any bargaining was for naught. Her usual cheer and energy left her body, a deep contrast to the elation she had felt when running through the woods. This quickly subsided however, as Alicia steeled herself. Unconsciously balling her fist, she turned around and faced the other new residents of this bizarre land. Painting a weak smile on her face, she began striding with determination towards the incredible construction, her features impeccable aside from her somewhat puffy eyes. In her way of walking, one could not even guess that she had been lost in distress only moments before.

Alicia marched through the doorway with relish before sighting a fountain. Figuring it would be a good place to start in gaining her bearings in the new environment, she tentatively entered into the room. Upon entry, she was met with an exotic looking girl who seemed to be close to her age observing fishes in the fountain. Alicia decided to speak in a slight tone as to not startle her, but kept a somewhat casual tone to give of an air of friendliness.

"I guess you're trapped here too?"
Everyone has their flaws. Me, I worry too much about silly things. Sometimes, for example, I'll write a post for a RP, then no one posts for a while afterwards and I instantly think it's my fault, but it actually turns out that everyone just happened to procrastinate at the same time. You get the gist?
So, really, don't worry.

I did love the original Katawa Shoujo, the armless girl having a spot in my heart. However, I'd not roleplay it. The State of Disarray and the Before Peace, After War rolepaly sounds like an interesting thing.

No idea why, but I absolutely adored Shizune.
I'm not ignoring you. In fact, I'm writing up my follow-up post right now. It's just that we were already on a different subject. Don't take it the wrong way! D:
Here's everything I'm doing at the moment, with the exception of Desnia, for an obvious reason;

  • Ace Combat: The Global War, my own roleplay.

  • After War, Before Peace (Military, Alternate History/Post-war RP), by Silverwind Blade.

  • GEARS - Mecha Sci-fi with Anthro characters. RP in a detailed, story-driven world, by Silverwind Blade (not accepting at the moment, as far as I know)

  • State of Disarray (A Anthro optional State of Decay RP), by Cartwright.

  • Katawa Shoujo, by Alarieth (doing this one out of a soft spot for the original visual novel, a bit of a weird one...)
  • It's the name used by Roleplayer Guild News, so I've just started using that. There's also Forumpocalypse, coined by Silverwind Blade which is a fun one.
What kind of roleplays are you looking for? If you're looking for something, I could give you a recommendation.

I've roleplayed on this forum for 3 years, it's natural. I've been great, how've you been?

Pretty good. I managed to get back into roleplaying pretty easily after Guildfall and I've had no shortage of things to do. At the moment, I've got six different roleplays on my plate, one of which is my own so I certainly have my work cut out for me, but it's fun.
Yep, that one. How have you been doing as of late? Great post by the way.
