Is Abbey gonna hit herself with those nunchucks? I actually have a practice set, and let me say, if you aren't experienced with them you will hit yourself a lot.
Are we playing the waiting game again?
Haruka's focus slipped and Seito was in danger. The first time the monster tried to grab him he managed to get away, the second time he was not so lucky. Haruka could barely follow where he was thrown, but now she knew that Seito was no match for the Hollow. If he was no match, then neither was she. However, Haruka swallowed her fear and held out her sword. She wasn't so scared that she'd just roll over and die, but all the same, she was terrified. Seito was an experienced fighter and she was not, which meant that her only hope was either a quick and precise strike, or run as fast as she could.

"What's the matter, little Reaper?" the Hollow spoke. Haruka gripped her Zanpakto tighter, as though the feeling of the hilt would snap her out of the fear that gripped her body. "Too scared to do another Kido after your partner was taken down so quickly? I can see your hands shaking, Reaper. Go ahead, you have a free swing. Go ahead!"

Haruka summoned her strength and swung, closing her eyes as she did so. She managed to get the thing's neck, but it was too shallow. The most she did was make the thing start to a bleed a little more. "It seems that your skill in Kido is far more than your skill in the sword!" the Hollow laughed and started to swat Haruka away, but she was quick enough to leap over the hand and back onto the nearby rooftop. "Look at you! At least you'll get to live a few minutes longer."

"Sho!" Haruka managed to point her index finger at the creature and fire off a weak blast. It wasn't as powerful as she would have liked, but it would keep the monster's attention on her until Seito managed to get back up -hopefully his wounds weren't too severe- and finish the thing off before more injuries happened. If not, it was likely that she was going to be hit hard by this thing in retaliation.
Pretty much.
Yay because I can apply it, boo because now I have to remember how to do it exactly. XP
Jak took a few deep breaths, adjusting her stance a little. She put her right foot behind her sideways and her left foot in front of her. She held the gun as though she were about to intercept a punch, her arms were a little loose and her hands were wrapped around the grip like she'd seen on television. There was a switch on the side she assumed to be the safety and switched it off, and noticed her hands were shaking. She took a few more deep breaths and the shaking eventually stopped. She could only bruise someone, she told herself. These weren't real bullets and could kill someone unless Jak managed to get really unlucky.

Jak took aim at Sonya's stomach, adjusting to aim a little higher to account for gravity, and squeezed the trigger. The recoil was bit more than she'd expected, she managed to slow the gun a little as it came back, but it still hit her on the nose. It mostly hurt, and no blood was gushing out. The bullet itself would be slightly off, now heading for Sonya's chest as opposed to her stomach. Jak managed to regain her stance and adjust her arms this time to stop the gun a little faster. She couldn't break her nose while fighting Sonya, that wouldn't really work. Not to mention that would be the lamest sparring end in the history of sparring. Injuring yourself before the opponent set you at more of a disadvantage than if you hadn't done anything in the first place.
Mira managed to dodge a blow to the face, but ended up taking one to the stomach. She was doing poorly, as she had dealt with most of the lower ranking Doom-ites apparently. She grit her teeth and stood again, wheezing to try and get her breath back. Super durable or not, she was going to be bruised tomorrow morning.

"What's the matter? Running out of steam already?" the thug said, popping his knuckles for dramatic effect. "Would have thought a real x-man would have already stopped the fighting."

"Shut up," Mira said she searched for a better power than ice. Fire was too dangerous, light beams meant collateral damage every time, and telekinesis was too tiring. She'd have to use teleportation, which wasn't her favorite power, but it would work. She quickly swapped out ice and teleported behind the man, landing three blows to his kidneys before teleporting in front of him to land a punch to his face. He was down for the count and Mira could move further into the crowd.

"I've rescued Franklin. . . or maybe more accurately he saved me," Faen replied telepathically, "try and connect us with the rest of the heroes still fighting. Having a telepathic link could be a valuable tactical advantage."

Mira stopped to lean against the wall for a moment. How many were still fighting? Six? Ten? How many were still fighting affected how well she would be able to relay mental messages back and forth. She wasn't an expert at this power yet -she didn't really think she could ever be- yet here he was asking her to sift through hundreds of panicking minds to connect them together so they could all talk? She'd have to wade through more grunts in order to see and connect the rest of them.

"Connecting people telepathically is tricky. I haven't even done that before today. I'll try to, however. Just don't expect miracles." Mira finally answered. First off, she'd connect Spidey and spooky once she was closer to them. Then Franklin… and whoever else she saw still fighting. This was going to be a horrible experience, she knew it.

Yet, she'd signed on to help people and here she was fighting to stop whatever these Doom-guys were planning on doing. At least things weren't dull anymore, she just needed to keep on moving through the crowd, which would probably be helped by her teleportation skill. If she could just not vomit when she arrived at the separate groups, that would be fantastic. With her breath back! she started running forward again! taking down a few Doom-ites in her wake as she tried to get to Spider-Man and spooky. Just a few more feet and she'd have to filter out more thoughts that weren't hers. She really hated using telepathy.
Haruka tried to ignore how loud and close-sounding that roar was. She also tried to ignore Seito's nervousness. As he poured on the speed, so did she, managing to keep pace with him as he raced towards the monster that they would soon fight. Haruka was calm now that she could see the thing. She could use some Kido to hold it in place then Seito could strike down the middle of its ugly mask. As she landed next to Seito, she drew her sword.

If they thought we would die fighting this thing then the Captains wouldn't have sent us. Haruka reassured herself once more. With quick movements she set up her Kido and fired it.

"Backudo number nine! Geki!" the Kido made the monster glow red and freeze into place. Already she could feel the spell draining away. This was good for maybe a few seconds, maybe less. "If it doesn't already, then we aren't doing our job." as she struggled to keep it in place, sweat started to break out on her brow. Seito needed to kill this thing already, she could feel the threads of her spell unraveling before her eyes. He needed to move fast. Part of her said that he wouldn't make it before the spell broke, but she kept the spell up regardless.
Now I have to research proper pistol stances. This gonna be interesting.
I'm also in Physics so I can try to apply some of that knowledge here to try and figure out wether or not I want Jakki to hit herself in the face.
Aww, it's okay~
You did it in the end, and that's what matters.
