Cora had simply fallen asleep on her bed, not bothering to change or anything. So when she was rudely awakened by the alarm, she glared intently into her pillow. Alrams meant flashing lights and lots of noise. After the dumb 'ice-breaker' activities they did last night, all Cora wanted as her room and for her to sleep through the day. Apparently, people here didn't understand what she meant by 'I usually am awake during the night, barely ever during the day.' And thought she enjoyed having very little sleep in a comfortable bed for once. She contemplated the best way to dismantle VITA as she staggered out of her room.

"Either have a a good excuse for waking me up, or the next person I see will be disemboweled." Cora growled, shifting the shadows around her intentionally to make her seem threatening.
Ah, Sara, you and I have a similar timezone. It's a little past noon for me as well.
Cora wasn't impressed with how quickly the dumb AI had brushed her off after adjusting the lights. Cora had been about to reply, when it dashed off to the kitchen, where the pigs were digging their noses into the refrigerator. Cora elected to avoid the kitchen, even though her stomach complained about the choice. Instead she headed off for her room, deciding to see if her luggage had been delivered there. There was bag sitting on her bed, apparently they had taken it to her room. She quickly rummaged through it, checking to see if anything was missing. Nothing was, and it appeared that someone might have snuck in a toothbrush and toothpaste. Cora rolled her eyes and placed them apart from her bag. It was charity, and she was being forced to accept it.

When she finished that, she clicked off the lights in her room and took off her sunglasses. She liked it dark, and even though the lights being dimmed helped, she still preferred to be in as much darkness as possible first. She examined everything, laid on the bed, then decided to head back out towards the arcade. She'd never seen one before, but she'd heard about them. She put back on her sunglasses, flicked on the lights, and walked out towards the arcade. Her hands were back in her pockets, and her hood was up again. She was trying to avoid being seen by anyone else and being forced to join those stupid 'ice-breaker' activities. She'd also have to fix it so the robot wouldn't call her 'Coraline' anymore. She hated her full name, it sounded stuffy and unlike the her in almost every way.
After the woman, Bella something or other, chewed her out, Cora didn't really care. Cora let out a quick little laugh at the scene. She didn't care about saving lives or whatever else kind of nonsense she liked to tell recruits. Then, they revealed VITA. Cora flinched at the sudden, new light in the room. They then moved on to their quarters and some girls was talking about the fridge. Cora, meanwhile, was eyeing the lights and the television carefully. She was a night creature, and if the television or lights were on, she might be irritated.

"Hey. Does the television dim? Also, can we turn off the blue lights? I prefer not to go blind late at night with the television lights on full blast." Cora said, hands still in her pockets, she had lowered her hood when they entered the room, but kept her shades on for her own safety. She might have looked a little pretentious, but for good eyesight, it was better to look like she was better than everyone else. She was better than them, but they also didn't have to know that right away.
It's not a problem right now. As for fighting, I know that shorter posts are definitely easier.

And thank you. I should be able to post quickly, but I'm kinda derping around and replaying Mass Effect 2.
True enough. I just tend to like extended posts I guess.
Also, I hate being incredibly rushed for posts, but I don't need a really in depth post right now, anyway. So that doesn't matter.

I'm just suggesting this for later, when we're doing missions and whatnot.
Yeah, not to mention I tend to write longer posts, so by the time I post, there might be several little bitty posts in between when I start and when I finish.
Since this is casual, I try to aim for about two paragraphs, so maybe we could aim for somewhere around that?
As the woman, their superior spoke, Cora rolled her eyes. She didn't salute like the other pansies in the room, either. No, to Cora, you earned the right to be respected. Rank meant nothing to her until she understood why they had it. So, instead of saluting and being respectful, Cora started to make her hand into a crocodile, moving her fingers up and down as the woman spoke. She mouthed the words, "blah blah" as she did so, rolling her eyes.

Soldiers ain't nothing but dogs. You love your dog, but you'll send him after intruders first. Most of my superiors will likely never need to see the front lines, but... I do get training out of this program. Well, if they want me to be a brainless soldier, they're gonna have to work at it. Cora smiled and adjusted her sunglasses on her face. They're gonna have to really work at it.
Also here.

Awesome! That'll definitely help with his history. Otherwise, I'd say Lenny's done.

Lenny and Cora can be criminal buddies together. :)
Maybe it can read people, like their body language as opposed to their emotions. That would work better I think.
