Hikari snorted at Nic's lack of a reply and leapt into the nearest building, starting on the second floor. The smoke made her eyes sting, but she powered through it, shifting rubble so that the others inside could make it to the bottom. She carried out the injured, trying to pick a spot where the firemen weren't as she didn't want the people trampled. She tried to locate ambulances, but often times she had to put them down across the street on the sidewalk. It was a race against time, since fire spread and she could only take so much smoke before she needed to be outside to breathe some clear air. She'd gone in again, covering her mouth with her hand. She heard screaming, something about a mother. She managed to meet up with Roxy, "nice to see you got out of the plane okay. You want help with the rubble?"
Hikari quietly observed the jet, the mission parameters, and how everyone reacted to one another. When Nic jumped out of the jet, she was silent as it was made clear that they had to jump down to start fighting the blaze. Hikari scanned the buildings and everything nearby to try and land safely. If she broke her leg, she'd be put out of commission and be useless for months. She didn't want to risk sitting around waiting to be acknowledged. With a leap, Hikari started climbing down, and after a minute, she managed to meet up with Nic. "Not everyone can survive just jumping out of a plane without a parachute, you know."
Jump right in, they're just bickering and in a meeting right now anyway.
"Great, Spaceman is gonna be in charge." Hikari said, rolling her eyes. "Now tell me another joke, preferably using the English language. Or maybe don't, I don't care. Wake me when something important happens." She folded her hands behind her head, and laid back further. She entire body language was screaming 'make me pay attention if you can'. She'd dealt with scarier mobsters and people. "You know what, how about we see what you have and we'll trust you more. Or are you just going to flub as leader for this little ragtag group of criminals and monsters? Go ahead, takoku hito."
Hikari was tempted to make a snide comment at Jaque, but decided better of it. She may be faster, but one hit from him would probably send her screaming into a wall. That didn't sound like something she wanted to do on a first introduction, and not to mention he was built like a tank, she didn't have an interest in being maimed on the first day. She had to say something else, or else risk being eaten by gator boy. At least, she was pretty sure that one was the guy who became a giant human-crocodile. She couldn't tell, and frankly, she didn't really care too much. "Good to see that we're all so cheerful this morning. Isn't anyone gonna bother asking why we're all here or are we just going to chatter like brainless idiots?" Well, that wasn't the best choice of words and inflection but it would do. Why was it so much easier to work by yourself and think your own thoughts rather than coordinate a bunch of other people? Maybe it was because you didn't have to know what anyone else was thinking or have to make alliances, because you didn't have to. There was only one person that you had to rely on, and they could always make the same choices you yourself would make. Life was simpler then.
Hikari flipped casually through the files, laying back on her bed. There was Krait, but Hikari didn't care about their similar powers. If anything, this Krait probably had better training or whatever. All Hikari cared about was not going to jail. They gave her a room in Nevada, whatever, she didn't care. She was used to moving around, not staying in one place. This was against almost all of her principles. They gave her desk, which she crammed to the brim with books on foreign languages. It was a hobby of hers to learn everything about the different languages, made sense if she wanted to travel someday. She'd have to if she wanted to ever leave this stupid service and stupid country.

ALL MEMBERS OF DELTA SQUAD REPORT TO MISSION CONTROL FOR BRIEFING

Hikari hesitated, debating if she was ready to even join a team. She wasn't exactly a team player, but she didn't have a choice. So she grit her teeth and left her room. The guy butchering the English language was probably the alien. Yes, they had an alien which apparently couldn't understand handshakes very well. With a faintly amused smile, Hikari sat down at the table and put her feet up, waiting to see what the others would say.
Hikari probably will notice but won't say anything. I can imagine there being some jealousy between the two.
*squeaks pathetically*
I don't have a problem with the paragraph.
I just don't have a plot yet, but I'll think of one soon.
Name… Hikari Aoi Tsubame

Code-name… Runner

Appearance...

Black hair, stands at about 5' 7'', and keeps her hair cropped short. She weighs about 130 lbs.

Age… 18

Hometown… Osaka, Japan. Then moved to Chicago, Illinois.

Psych Eval… Hikari is variable. Hikari prefers silence when working, and when in off hours tries to get by with saying as little as possible. She displays a preference to moving as opposed to sitting still. She appears to love languages, and often studies other languages, adding to the ever growing amount that she already knows. She turned down a uniform when offered, buying her own gear, which could be a result of her years spent by herself. She seems to think her independence is preferred over company. She enjoys reading, but spends more time studying new languages than reading the books offered. Hikari may fidget if locked in a room for excessive amounts of time, and tends to speak less in this situation. This is opposed to after she has gone on a long run by herself, when she is more open and talkative. Hikari also can be brutally honest to people she doesn't like, it is recommended that she meets with a psychiatrist once a week to have a better understanding of her mind.

History… Born in the slums of Japan, Hikari was raised on meager amounts of food and not enough entertainment. She soon learned of a skill named parkour from one of her classmates, and started to practice and research it on her own. When she moved to America, the first thing Hikari did was take several classes, and until she was sixteen, they kept her busy. The S.E.E.R. kept track when she started to leap over buildings after practice. When the classes stopped, due to the interest of the S.E.E.R, she tested out of her school, claiming that, 'she'd had enough of sitting'.
She soon started running messages between gangs, scientists doing illegal procedures, as well as the odd nut case that wanted messages to be passed secretly to other nut cases. Her job was to move things from one side of town to the other, and she was good at it. She often teased police into chasing her to increase the thrill, but they didn't catch her until a year later. She also very often destroyed police cars, injured policemen, and stole badges. Hikari was running a brief case across town, when she discovered that it was a sting operation. She was surrounded by police and had no way out. She was given two choices, either join Delta Squad, or go to jail. Hikari soon joined the project, looking for some form of amusement. The subject never stated that she was bored, but this was inferred from how she described her previous life.

Powers/Abilities…
Super strength- Hikari can effectively lift double her own weight as well as exert force above that of a average human. The subject mainly uses her strength to jump, leaping above twenty feet vertically. This strength allows the subject to move over twenty miles an hour. The subject appears to have a certain amount of control over her strength, but if enraged can lose control and hurt herself. The subject, when lifting, has higher blood pressure than normal, meaning wounds sustained that bleed can often times present more of an issue than if she wasn't exerting energy.
High endurance- Hikari doesn't get tired as easily as an average human due to her training and parkour practice. The subject is easily damaged when cut or put under extreme pressure. She doesn't form bruises due to strengthened cells in her skin.

Other... Hikari refuses to cover up her tattoos, indicating a deeper meaning or teenage rebellion. We are unsure of where she received her tattoos.
Um… is it okay if I join?
I can't put up my sheet right now, but it'll definitely be up later.
