Keepers of Death (Black University Saga)

Going to a university was lame so far. Nothing but speeches and seeing the campus. Still, it was all free. Kacey wandered around until she found a flyer telling all the new students to go to the auditorium. That should be easy enough to find, she thought. She ripped the paper off the wall, taking it with her as she went. Maybe it was some kind of ticket that you needed to find and bring to the meeting. So she walked, watching the other students filter into what she assumed was the auditorium -without the flyer. Kacey quickly balled up the paper and tossed it into the nearest trash can. She stuck her hands into her pockets and moved to a seat. Even though it wasn't interesting, she mostly stayed awake to see who all were specially invited besides herself.

There weren't many, just barely twenty kids remained. Unfortunately, the student who had been sitting next to her was lightly snoring, having fallen asleep earlier on in the speech. She didn't hold back when she kicked him trying to wake him up. Why would he fall asleep now? He probably knew that only invited students were allowed in here right now. The invitation promised a challenge, it promised answers. She wasn't getting kicked out if the person sitting next to her fell asleep and stayed for a meeting that he wasn't supposed to see.

Personality: Drake prefers silence and quiet to loud noises and making a ruckus. He sketches out drawings and can never be found far from his sketch pad. He often is off in space and can be only brought back down to earth if someone reminds him about work or something important that he may have missed. He's very nimble, despite the fact that he appears to stumble from time to time.

Bio: Drake was raised by a pair of well-off artists, which rubbed off on him. Soon he developed an interest in magic and magic runes. As he had a natural affinity for it, he soon enrolled and became engrossed in his studies at Caldwell.

Hikari really didn't even have time to look up before being flung away from Hellhound. She'd been so focused on keeping the guy's arms down that she'd missed the whole warning. Needless to say, she was pretty upset when she had to try and slow down her acceleration. She stuck a hand out and flipped over it, trying to use that energy to land on her feet. With difficulty, she managed to land back on her feet. Unfortunately her left hand was torn up and bleeding now. She had to be careful, it was a minor wound, but she could lose too much blood if she used her powers. For now, she had to be clever. "Nice going Gator Boy…"

Hikari, irritated at John, helped hold down Hellhound. Her held down his arms, adding her own weight to the strength she used. Why would he foolishly use more energy? That left him open for attack and probably stopped him from moving. He was better off trying to use a little energy while keeping an eye out for anyone else that might have helped Hellhound. "You'd better hurry up, Sparkplug, or we'll get thrown clear," she snapped, putting as much effort as she could spare into trying to keep him still. Besides, this was awkward and not a very good choice for putting someone into a decent hold. If Nic would just stop thrashing and move she could probably help him better if they weren't positioned over this guy's helmets.
