I was assuming they were moving into high school, but somehow I put down middle school. I'm done thinking.
It's true, he's been possessed by a grade-A demon. Good luck, buddy.
Repeat after me:

Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus,
omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii,
omnis congregatio et secta diabolica.

Ergo, draco maledicte.
Ecclesiam tuam securi tibi facias libertate servire,
te rogamus, audi nos.

That'll fix 'im.
Oh yeah, I forgot that I only have two real classes this year so I can post more.

Sam was surprised at how similar Scorn's story seemed to be to her own. Sam didn't even really think about the unlimited power of controlling shadows until she realized how Augustine had to neutralize Scorn. At least she'd found a kindred spirit in New York. "I think I'll have the grand tour. No use finding a room in this place if you can't really navigate I suppose."
Sam shrugged, watching the white hooded Reapers with interest. She wondered if they could even talk at all, or if they were just silent because it suited them better. She hoped it was latter, she couldn't imagine being silent all the time because she had no choice. She waved at them as she waited for Scorn to start the tour. The Reapers seemed nice, not like a gang at all, really.
Sam didn't really think she didn't have a choice whether or not to join them, but she felt compelled to do so. They had a nice place to stay, and didn't seem to be all that aggressive. Maybe they were secretly heroes, like in her comics. Sam had always wanted to be a hero like those guys, but it seemed that her powers prevented her from doing so. Maybe with the Reapers she could change the way things were, and gain new control over her powers. She could be a hero, here.
Jak woke up that morning undecided. She went to go practice throwing baseballs undecided. Then she took a brief reprieve from working hard to go back home and sit on her couch undecided. She hadn't decided anything until the moment she realized that her mother was probably upstairs and doing absolutely nothing for the seventh day in a row. The question didn't really become wether or not to join the Mafia at that point, it became whether or not to stay in this holding pattern of doing absolutely nothing.

So Jak found herself a little early, waiting for the others to show up at Naoto's. They all tricked in until, at last, Naoto showed himself. She looked confused for a moment, then replied to his question. "We came because I think that we didn't know what else to do. Plus, it's you, so whatever this Mafia is going to be doing can't be that dangerous." Jak smiled and rested her hand on her cheek.

Then Sonya said that she wanted them to start training immediately, and Jak was doubting her words. Sonya was different class of person altogether. She held herself in a way that said she was in charge, and Jak didn't doubt it. In fact, if she wasn't in charge then Jak would be surprised. She hoped Sonya wouldn't be too crazy about their training though, they were just a bunch of kids from middle school. "Okay, miss Sonya." Jak said in reply to her order to be ready.

Strangely enough, she didn't mind any of this weird situation at all. She was somewhat looking forward to it, actually.
