Bio
Here's a list of things about me if you want to know a little bit more. Though if you actually want to get to know me, send me a PM, or talk over the OOC chat.
1. I don't generally like roleplays where my characters are forced to be serious 100% of the time; mostly because that's not how actual people work.
2. Yes, I use anime pictures for appearances. I've come to like anime less and less over the years, and personally only ever watch the movies now, and that's on incredibly rare occasions. I personally like using those over actual people faces, because people have too many specific details, and I can never find people faces that match the description I want. If you would like, I can use a text description instead.
3. I generally like to make 'pairs' of characters. Either characters that seriously contrast with each other, or work together really well but still have arguments and problems.
4. I've been forum roleplaying for just about 5 years now, and I've been tabletop roleplaying for 11 years now. I still suck at roleplaying despite being a 12 year veteran, but, what're you gonna do?
5. I really enjoy talking to people. Yes, society has gone downhill, but despite that I find serious enjoyment out of talking to people about anything. So, if I'm in an RP with you, just chat away with me. We can talk about mundane things, or go all-out on serious topics. I don't think I've come across a single person I've hated talking to, even if they were somewhat irritating or annoying. So please PM me, or just talk OOC.
6. I flipping love Inside Out, and as such, if you ever make an RP based around it, please invite me. I promise to behave of course. If one isn't made though, you know very well that I'll make my own, and I'll try my hardest to make it the best RP possible. Or, if you just want to talk about Inside Out, I'd love to do that as well.
7. Please make good characters. I understand Advanced Roleplayer's over on that section have no problem with this, but I don't like RPing over there. When I'm on casual roleplay, not many seem to care a whole lot about making good characters. They just make walking cliche's to get into an RP, and then completely change that character as the RP barely starts. It's annoying, lazy, and doesn't really make me want to accept you if I'm GM or co-GM.
Characters are the literal heart and soul of roleplaying, and should be treated as such. If you make your characters card-board cut-outs, it only tells me that you either don't care, are lazy, or that we absolutely need a moderate roleplay section on the forums to bridge the gap between posting 1-2 paragraphs with barely any work put into characters, and posting 6-8 paragraphs with enormously deep backstories, love, and care, put into characters.
8. I am a caring and nice guy, so don't be afraid to talk to me about anything. I'm fairly hard to offend, and even harder to make mad. I seriously enjoy getting to know my fellow members, so talk whenever you feel like it.
I am honestly interested in the Fourth Dimension one. It feels like a particularly fresh idea, and to be honest I've seen a few Zelda/zelda inspired role plays on here, and the Dino Future sort of just feels like Racism: the RP, but with dinosaurs.
I can moderate if needed. Though, don't stress yourself out with too many RPs. That happened a lot when I had 5-6 at a time and it forced me to take a break from RPing for a while.
Oh, and, by the way, I won't be able to post tomorrow because my family will be taking me out for birthday stuff. We have dinner reservations, watching movies, playing games with my little brothers, etc.
Arndt Schulz
Arndt waved goodbye to Mike as he left, fully engrossed in his studies to give a proper goodbye. After finishing another worksheet, Arndt stood up from his bed to stretch. He let out a deep yawn, and from the window in his room, saw that the sun was declining. The drum set right in front of the window gleamed, and the French sky outside looked beautiful. Arndt was nearly in a trance before he noticed from the corner of his eye, a normal looking letter. It didn't seem to have a name anywhere on it, but it was slid into his backpack. A sarcastic voice in his head propped out, getting love letters on the first day, Arndt? Are we that popular yet? Something an old friend of his once said. Pulling it up, Arndt immediately noticed the strangely refined handwriting. Arndt looked for a name, but couldn't see any sort of signature on the parchment. He started to read the letter, Arndt thought maybe someone had accidentally mistaken him for someone else.
I'm in the mood to juggle a third RP, but nothing really strikes me as interesting on the interest checks right now. And most of the RPs I'm interested in that are currently on-going are all closed. :(
I did a little bit of a check-up post with Arndt to show you I'm not dead. Considering not much plot-wise will happen with him for probably a little while, I'll do check-ups here and there until some sort of plot is introduced for him, just to show I'm still invested in the RP.
Arndt Schulz
Arndt sat in his dorm room, studying, and bouncing a ball off the ground. It helped to keep him focused on his current task. The bell for 9th graders rang out, and not long after, Mike came in. "I think my teacher's assigned me extra homework for falling asleep in almost every class," Arndt told Mike, still ever focused on getting through his work. "I hope that doesn't turn into a routine for me," Arndt joked dryly. He had already set up his collection of beanies in the wardrobe and was sitting up in his bed against the wall, with a different beanie than before. A poster or two had also been hung up, depicting German rock bands that Arndt wished he could have seen live. "Hopefully you don't care that I put up some of my stuff. It's all on my side of the room anyways," Arndt also commented.
Our major goal was to pretty much stop three neighboring kingdoms from starting all out war with each other, each of their reasons for starting this war were pretty comical to say the least. We had four adventurers including my mimic sorcerer, whom I had made chaotic neutral for added fun. We never completed it, because in an ironic twist of fate each of the adventurers slowly died off to their own strengths. My sorcerer was second to last, and was eaten by his own mimic in the middle of the night because it hadn't eaten flesh within the last three days. Enough reminiscing though.
I'm pretty sure Arndt doesn't care if he's sick, so long as he gets an excused leave from classes for that day.
I made a joke DnD character once, a sorcerer who's familiar was a mimic. You can't really have mimic's as familiars but because we all made joke characters with outrageously stupid abilities, I was allowed to have one. We had many a thief die while praying on our camp because they opened up that chest. A character with a chronic illness isn't something I can say I've roleplayed before. I'll try my best to do it though.
Well, I have worked off of it, I think. There's probably nothing I could really have posted until you did the 11:00 A.M. Timeskip anyways. Also, I was just making a joke with the PP thing, I've known people who've reacted like that to events/whatever. Especially in DnD sessions.
