I would choose the power to read people's minds. If you know what someone is thinking you can influence them subtly and effectively. You can also help people by knowing what kind of thoughts are troubling them, it will help you to better understand what they're going through. I think this would be the most useful power to have in everyday life, it can help you make decisions on the kinds of people you want to be around as well as warn you about people who intend to harm you. In addition it will help you be more adaptable in social situations and in the workplace, especially jobs that work with people. Also you can know why babies cry all the time and know what will make them stop crying. But I would only want this power if I was able to turn it off sometimes because I don't want to know what people are thinking all the time.
Didn't we already have a Halloween thread?
Jedly has failed us.
I remember that.
I'm trying to make a joke about this but the material is so bad I don't think I can do it.
Plus, she's so adorably innocent that I find it difficult to stay legitimately mad at her for more than five minutes.

I feel like my roommate would use similar language to describe me.

Aergar

King of the forest, of all forests? Every tree in Emanseria under his command? The prospect of that kind of power was enough to send a shiver of pleasure up his spine. "My my my you certainly are a temptress." To have power over even the elves, it was almost too good to be true. But then, so long as he did not destroy the forest they would not oppose him, and he certainly did not want to destroy his own kingdom now did he? While it was a grand offer indeed, Aergar knew he would probably have to do more than just win Ada's trust. She was a cunning woman and this was not the first time Phrenesis had attempted to get ahold of her. He would have to be careful. Yes, the more he thought about it the more he realized just what kind of challenge he was facing. Still, King of the Forest. A fae had not ruled the forest for thousands of years, perhaps it was time once again for a king to arise. Royalty was in Aergar's blood, why shouldn't he be king? In fact, he could think of no better person, not that he would relinquish this claim to them if they existed.

"Very well lord--or should I say lady?-- Phrenesis," he said with a crooked smile, "I accept your offer."

He saluted Sparrot as well. "I shall reign benevolently over every rock and tree and ant, and the day of my ascension shall be the day of your victory, and we'll make it a national holiday!" He let out a whoop like an excited young boy, just imagining the stories future generations of fae would tell. The ascension of the great King Aergar, the eternal as Sparrot put it. Yes he liked that title, for even if his body were to pass away his spirit would live on in the whole of the forest. He started to laugh at the thought, a funny sort of giggle that seemed to fit perfectly with the noise of rustling leaves and running water, the kind that would definitely send chills through you if you didn't know its source.

After recovering his composure and brushing a tear from his eye, still chuckling delightedly every so often, he managed to ask, "What is it you'll do in the meantime? Sleep more I hope."

Your existence is like a ray of sunshine on an overcast day, I don't know why but you never fail to make me smile.
