You make sure the water is hot. You then separate the time while it's heating up with looking at yourself in the mirror like you're a fucking lunatic, shaving/plucking, and shitting.

You're actually supposed to shave during or after the shower since the hot water softens the hair and that makes it easier and gives you a smoother finish.
So, should the water be turned on beforehand? Or should it not?
But maybe the shocking cold and brief adrenaline rush is what I live for.
Aw shucks, I'm jealous.
Woah woah back up, it's not like that.

Anyway, my roommate constantly berates me for not turning the tap on until I'm in the shower, insisting that one must turn the tap on beforehand in order to ensure that the water has time to heat up. However logical this is, I can't seem to break my old habits of getting in, turning it on, then dodging the first stream of cold water.

I pose the question to Spam: does it really matter as long as you come out clean?

These are deep philosophical inquiries that demand answers, plz help.
I heard my name.
