Maria's vision spiraled in to the darkness as her body shut down around her. she was falling down, down, down, into a bottomless pit of inky darkness.she Herd Hugo screech and she felt his feathery wings against her face as he tried in vain to pull her up, struggled against her weight. her wold stopped spinning and spiraling so rapidly that the blackness around her shatter like glass. she was standing in vast room filled with clock and keys. tick tick tick. she looked around and saw no exit. suddenly the great big grandfather clock in the center of the room craked down the middle blood seeping out through the splinted wood. then the clock changed and was now the mangled body of her older brother bleeding and oozing black blood, his eyes wide and gaping but were pitch black, blood was trikerling down his face as he cracked like a china doal Maria screamed. the world shattered once again. but this time she was in the burning rekages of her home. fire blazing and roaring loud and high as it destroyed everything she held close.
she herd the sound of Hugo Caw as she whipped around drawing her dagger with tears in her eyes but what she was was even worse. the crippled corpse of her only friend lay at the feet of a man. she lost it Lashing out snarling in the accient tongue of her people. the people that now burned around her. she slashed at the man be he was quick to doge. he ducked and kicked Maria in the stomach. she when sproling but was quick to get up. flicking her hair out her eyes she snarled getting a god look of the man. he looked as if he had walked right out of a clock he had a gear sticking out the back of his head and an entire maniacal leg and arm his moments weren't smooth, he jolted and jerked every now and again. every link and nick in his mental skin was seeping black ooze that smoked and burned to the touch. his eyes were missing and in there place were a pair or tailors scissors sitting out of one and the other had a button sowed over it. Maria took a shaky breath and uncurled her whip. lashing it around his wrist, she jerked it up and to the side launching him off the ground and into the fire. he came staggering back but she was ready, swallowing her fear and rage as best she could she launched her attack catching it by surprise as she slashed at his face and torso. he staggered sparking and smoking, he racked down her back with razor sharp talon like finger nails. before kicking her in the back. she went down. coiffing and spluttering blood, "damit" she spat. she lunged again but this time she plunged both of her dagger deep into the spot where the things heart would have been, twisting and ripping his wires out in the process. he sparked one more before stabbing her in the side with his claws for good measure. he collapsed sparking and twitching before lying deadly still. Maria staggered back but before she could asses the damage the world slipped out from under her again and she was once again falling through the darkness.
