Ace just sort of watched as the foot flew towards his face. He barely blinked when Tiger caught the kick. He did, however, step a little back when Tiger brushed him off. It wasn't to be rude, just mostly because it made him extremely uncomfortable when people he didn't know touched him.
Lacy pushed herself away from he counter, grumbling under her breath. "Everyone! Scram!" She screamed, which induced everyone in the bar to quickly leave. She walked around the counter and over to Agent. Without giving her a second to react, she grabbed the woman's collar and flung her back with incredible strength. She pointed towards Tiger, and hissed, fangs showing, "Stay here." Without having to communicate to him, Ace handed Lacy a golden claw that looked like curling snakes. She twisted the claw onto her wrist as she clicked over to Agent.
Unique made it looked like the punch had more power to it than it actually did. She tilted back, catching herself with her hands and kicked both feet up at him. This was both to kick him back and get her onto her feet. Once she was back on her feet, it was time for her favorite thing. Wheels emerged from the bottom of her feet, preparing herself in a fighting position.
The customer just so happened to be one of the gambling men. He gave a yell as his drink fell onto the ground. Ace looked over at the fighting two and just sighed in annoyance. He placed his last hand of winning cards on the table then collected his earnings. He took his money to the bar counter while looking at Lacy. She wasn't paying attention to her ward, but rather watching the fight with an angry look. She took her glass and threw the remaining liquid down her throat. Slamming the glass onto the table, which in turn created breakage in the glass, as she glared at Tiger and Agent. "I will give you two one chance to leave this place before I intervene. And if you break anything, you will pay," she snapped at them, the green snake on her arm hissing.
Unique smiled slightly as she calmly walked over to the paralyzed Phase. She let her hand and wrist return to normal once she reached him. Gently, she picked him up and held him in the air by his collar. A light frown consumed her features. She could sense that she had underestimated how long he would be paralyzed. It would last for a few more moments before he could move again. She let out a soft sigh. "These games are for the people's entertainment, no?" She questioned Phase softly. "Perhaps we should make it look good. Try a little harder."
It was quiet in the bar 'Snake Bite', other than the soft casual conversation coming from a table surrounding by gambling men. Well, men as in three men and a short, ginger boy in a green sweater. The trans boy was winning, a pile of crumpled cash in front of his cards. Ace Kingslee, the tactical genius with prosthetics replacing half of his legs, was watching the three other gamblers with a completely blank look. They were either shifting uncomfortably or glaring at their cards. 'Will I ever get a challenge?' Ace thought to himself, adjusting his owl-like glasses before looking back down at his hand.
Lacy Ribeiro, the tall, gorgeous Brazilian woman who owned the bar, was silently watching the group. She was leaning against the back counter of the bar as she swished the liquor in her glass. She was dressed in her normal work attire: a very short black dress that was held up by the ties around her neck, black stiletto heels, and the emerald green snake that curled around her shoulders and arm. The little snake let out a hiss as it traveled down her muscular arm. Lacy glanced towards one of her employees as the waitress passed with a dustpan and broom in her hands. She liked it when it was quiet, no rowdy customers or men (and the occasional woman) continuously flirting with her. Yes, it was quite nice.
Unique was throwing a strike downwards, towards his stomach but stopped when she registered that he was no longer on the ground. Straightening herself, she slowly looked around as she scanned the area. What caught her eye, other than the faint heat signature, was the shuffle of dust on the ground that had been stirred up from Phase walking. Her hand and wrist transformed into a laser gun before she pointed towards Phase's direction. It was set to stun and would only temporarily paralyze, long enough for her to win the match, if she got a hit.
Unique easily caught his leg and threw it back off to the side. "I suggest you work on your form," she told him. "It would not be good if you hurt yourself while fighting." She performed the same move he did, but with a lot more power and it was properly done. If the kick didn't work then she would just spin around and trip him.
Unique was softly humming to herself as she walked into the arena. She gave the cheering crowd a small wave before she let her optics fall to Phase. 'So he can so call 'phase' through again? This should be interesting,' she thought to herself as the referee started the match. She bent her legs slightly, her metal toes digging into the ground, with her fist raised. Springing forward, she shot towards him and aiming for a simple strike to the chest. She wasn't going into the fancy techniques until she tested the waters.
Unique stepped out and joined Ally's side when her name was called. Despite the loud noises, the cheers were somewhat uplifting none the less. She raised her arm to wave to the cheering fans and game-viewers. A small smile played at her lips. Silly emotions were right, but there wasn't anything wrong with feeling a little pride. Unique clasped her hands behind her as she listened the announcer call the rest of the names, her blue eyes flickering across the crowd.
Unique exited the limo. She took the key from the mayor, giving him one of her rare but genuine smiles and a 'thank you'. She began her way towards the hotel lobby. Sightseeing would be saved for later, for now she would observe the other contestants. Perhaps she would converse with some of them. Silently, she entered the lobby with her hands clasped behind her back. She looked around the hotel with her usual unemotional look, taking note of the aliens either lumbering about or relaxing on the couches.
