Puppeteer hadn't expected Tiger to attack. His claws managed to cut two of the golden strings that wrapped around her fingers, which had allowed her to control the victims. About half of the citizens were released from her grasp. If she had emotions, then she certainly would be annoyed. Her blank, gold eyes turned towards him as she said, "You are a pesky kitty." From out of the smoke, three of her puppets emerged, rushing towards Tiger.
Viper slunk through the smoke, her snake eyes trained on Doll. Just as she thought she was about to prepare her strike, Doll spun around and sprung towards her. Viper let out a snarl/hiss, her snake claw catching Doll's arm. Her venom wasn't going to work, seeing as the villain wasn't human nor did she have flesh. Without thinking, she reacted quickly to the attack by slamming the porcelain girl into the ground, hand around her neck. Luckily for both of the heavy hitters, Trick knew how to detain the villains. The small, ginger boy landed next to Viper with a necklace in his hand. One of the escaped citizens had a necklace with a cross charm. Since Doll was a spirit inhabiting an inanimate object, the only way to suppress her was a religious item. Doll began to freak out, attempting to pierce the heroes with her wires, but Trick wrapped the necklace around her wrist. Doll went limp and her fierce features set back to that of a smiling statue.
Unique's normal barriers for the emotions that she found as a weakness dropped, and turned to disbelief and fear. Fear for Phase, mostly. She doubled checked to see if her laser was set to only temporarily stun, which it was. So why did Phase drop unconscious?! She was pulled from her thoughts when the announcer instructed her to return to the waiting room. Quietly, she compelled, returning to the room with her fellow rebels. Looking around at the guards, a frown narrowed her eyes and her metal lips pursed. "None of this makes sense," she stated, crossing her arms. "My laser was set the temporarily stun, not render unconscious. As Ally said, we have been framed."
It would've been the end for both them if it hadn't been for Trick. A cloud of dense smoke enveloped around Viper and Tiger, causing the Puppeteer and Doll to miss their targets. A few of the wires snagged their skin and suits, and one golden thread captured Viper's wrist but she quickly yanked it away. Trick appeared behind his fellow heroes, placing his hands on their shoulders. "Puppeteer and Doll cannot see through the smoke," he told them quietly. "Make quick work while I release the rest of the civilians." And with that, he disappeared once more.
Viper glanced around the smoke, pursing her lips in thought. The whites of her eyes became swallowed up by the bright green of her irises and her pupils became slits. Now she had an easier time with seeing the heat signatures of the villains and victims around them. "I'll go after Doll, you go after the Puppeteer?" She suggested, glancing towards Tiger. They had a few moments before their perfect time to attack would go amiss.
Zatanna had managed to get most of the people in from one of the floors onto the ground by levitating them down. Looking around a bit more, her attention was finally pulled from searching when Kid Flash called her name. "Of course it's not," she said, floating over to the window to hear him better. Out of the corner of her eye she saw something move quickly through the air as she heard the 'bangs' of a gun. "Move! Now!" She warned the speedster quickly. She wouldn't be able to cast a spell quick enough or accurate enough before it bullets hit their mark.
Doll gave a frustrated scream, stomping her foot like a child having a tantrum. "Stop running when I'm trying to kill you!" She yelled, scrunching up her porcelain features in anger. She raised her arms above her head and almost a hundred wires appeared, glinting in the light, before shooting down towards Tiger. They would've made their target if it hadn't been for Viper. The snake woman tackled Doll to the ground which caused her to skid across the floor. This caught the Puppeteers attention. She turned away from trying to capture Trick in her threads and faced Viper, eyes looking towards Doll. "You have become a nuance, but your skills are impeccable," The emotionless woman stated, pointing towards Viper. "I want you." Suddenly, Viper was attacked by both wires and golden threads. There was no escape for her.
Viper slunk down the stairs and through the shadows, unseen, to where so of the civilians were. She cut a few down, occasional glancing towards the villains. Hoping for either of the dangerous girls to not see them wouldn't work. The puppeteer calmly turned to face Tiger and sighed slightly, feeling multiple of her puppets being pulled from her grasp. "Doll, leave the flying cretin be, I need you to take care of the other two," she told the smaller girl, her voice monotone. Doll spun around, the wires attacking Trick ceasing. She let her bottom lip stick out in a pout before she stomped towards Tiger. "Go away! You're ruining the show," she whined, raising her arm to shot multiple wires towards him.
Zatanna grinned as everyone else agreed to going to the distress. She grabbed her top hat and placed it on her head. "Alright, then let's do this," she chirped.

When they arrived at the scene, Zatanna stared up at the building with her hands on her hips and leaning her weight on one leg. Her lips were pressed together in an uncertain look. "Must not be a very big fire if everyone is so calm," she commented. Then the explosion went off. She jumped slightly as her eyes widened. "Ok, I guess there is an emergency." Zatanna turned her attention towards Robin as he spoke his plan. Without words, she nodded and took the earpiece he held out to her. She slipped the communicator into her ear, eyes watching the building. The magician glanced towards Kid Flash and said, "Let's get to it." With that, she spoke the spell to enable her fly and floated up to the higher levels of the building.
Zatanna opened her mouth to say something in retort to Roy's words but she just slowly closed it. With why angry and frustrated he was, she saw no point in actually trying to argue with him. The girl just frowned and crossed her arms. She watched the ginger leave before she let out a heavy sigh. That's when the alarm went off. Zatanna stood up in reaction, her eyes darting towards the screen. Just the exchange of the Leaguers' words filled her with excitement, though she didn't show it. Perhaps this would be an opportunity for the younger ones to go on a mission!
But, it was not meant to be. Zatanna just look away from the group, hugging her arms. As soon as the Justice League left the room and the teens were alone, the black-haired beauty returned her gaze back to the others. "Are we actually going to stay put?" She questioned.
Zatanna smirked at Kid Flash's enthusiasm. She found the bunch rather enjoyable to be around, despite Speedy's obvious grumpiness. Her eyebrows rose at the archer's sudden outburst. Her opinion was a bit strained with his statement. Sure, her father often treated her like a little girl but she was here, wasn't she? It was a small sign that he trusted that she could handle it. "Please, let's not jump to conclusions," she stated, removing her top hat and placing it on the armrest of the chair. "We just need patience. I'm sure the league will come to allow us in sooner or later." Zatanna thought Roy was being too unrational about their situation, he just needed a moment to calm down and think.
Trick didn't respond at first as he just seemingly stared down at the scene. Then he slowly nodded. "That might work," he murmured. "Doll will most likely go after you to, so be careful and try not to rile her up. You'll just make things worse." With that, he stood up and flew into the air. He zipped over the large space, playing cards between his fingers. The puppeteer calmly looked up at him and her facial expression didn't change as he cut a few of her victims from their ties. Doll, on the other hand, was livid. The small girl looked furious, her fists clenched at her side. "Stop ruining things! Go bother someone else!" She screamed, raising her hands. The zipping sound of wires being tugged echoed throughout the room. Multiple practically invisible, steel wires shot out towards Trick and almost pierced him if he hadn't twisting in the air.
Viper watched Trick spin in the air with a frown. "Now we wait for a better time to strike," she murmured under her breath, mostly to herself.
