Rennac looked up at the commanding officer with a cocked eyebrow. "Never said I was changing anything right this moment. Just a simple analysis and then I'd write a proposal for new security measures to give to you to look over. If there is anything glaring I'd bring it up to you-" The wolfen was soon cut off by Varus as he turned his attention to the other two down the hallway, Rennac nodding. "Likewise. Don't be afraid to call in if you need a hand." The wolfen managed to get out before Varus left to check on the Jack and Taurys. Rennac unwired himself from the panel and closed it back up, moving toward his workstation to get settled. Maybe he'd go to the gym once he finished seeing how much work needed to be done for his station.
Rennac sighed and rubbed the back of his head, figuring any socializing would be nonexistant till he got in a mission or two. "Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully we get an assignment soon. Almost getting rusty with that vacation. Anyway, gonna go ahead and check out the security system here and make note of any necessary upgrades." The Wolfen turned and figured he could kill some time by getting his hands on a computer terminal and absorb himself in some work, hopefully finding some improvements to make if not overhaul the entire security grid. As he walked through the halls he was mentally noting potential blind spots and vulnerabilities, soon hearing Taerys and Jackdaw, the two people thus far most likely to rip him a new one but was surprised by two things. First, the Vaeryx was actually starting to get a bit emotional, something he had experienced with a member of a crew he worked with in his early years as a hacker. The second was that Jackdaw actually showed concern. Granted if she knew he was hearing them she would threaten to rip his head off if he ever mentioned this side of her to anyone, but still a fun fact to know. He opened one of the panels and patched his wrist gear into the system, doing a security diagnostic while he paid attention.
Rennac sighed to himself, grumbling a bit. Well, so much for common ground with Dresden. Seems the only one who would talk to him is the captain and Teeth. He apparently was not liked by Dresden who apparently was apathetic toward all newcomers and Jackdaw who saw him as just some joking slacker. He didn't even try to get close to Taerys, the Varyx looking like she wasn't friendly to anyone anyway save the captain. Truth be told he just did those antics partly because he wanted to see how his crew reacted to surprises. The captain rolled with it pretty well and the others didn't bat an eyelash. He knew he was working with a good team but now he doubted just how much they'd be working with him. Rolling his eyes a bit he turned back to Teeth with a smirk. "Is it just me or does everyone here seem to have a bad disposition towards new blood?"
lol, just wanted to check before I actually requested something like that. Figuring maybe a glove add on with small lights at the fingertips to act as indicators for gesture controls.
Probably a new piece of tech or computer part. Come to think of it... what about like simulators, video games and such? Figuring we wont have the usual controlers but maybe with gesture controls and whatnot.
Rennac smirked. "Dont be too disappointed. I was the hacker used for the major black ops in this sector. We could have a few sparring sessions too. I'd like to keep a good grip on my CQC when I'm not fiddling with circuit boards. It's actually a bit disappointing so few technicians bother to learn basic combat." He then looked to Teeth and shook the long nailed hand, careful of the sharp claw like nails. Thankfully, most they did was scratch the casing of his wrist computer. "Pleasure Teeth. Glad to see someone here showcasing that you cant judge a book by it's cover. Fortunately I'll be seeing you more than the other techies. Will be the keymaster for our infiltration and ground teams." He then turned to Dresden, figuring he had a good way to draw her in a bit. "Say, you're the engineer right? You wouldn't happen to know the plasma transfer rate for this ship would you? Wanna know I'll have plenty of spare juice to upgrade the security systems."
Rennac's gaze visibly sharpened at Jackdaw's response, a sly smirk coming to his face. "Rennac will be fine. I'll be taking up the position of technician here. Hmm, multiple body ports, typical of cybernetic enhancement. Above average build for agility and precision in mind. Truly the consummate soldier." Of course he figured something was likely given up for all those implants and augmentations, but knew not to delve into it. There was some information he chose never to crack into until the person in question would open up about it, or he believed it was an urgent matter. "I can understand your... doubt in my abilities. Perhaps seeing my dossier will help? I have a digital copy on my wrist computer. If not I can always do a... demonstration." He figured Dresden wasn't interested in talking at the moment, particularly since she was working to tune them out. Apparently the captain wanted to pull one over on him for the prank earlier. He then noticed the other two. Of course, Taerys could of just asked him any questions but pushed the thought away as he stepped toward Teeth. "Ah, hello there. Rennac Faintheart, ace technician for ground team. From your description I'm assuming you're our medic?"
Rennac smirked and tossed the sunglasses and hat onto one of the bags with a smirk. "Well, had to see how you'd react to something unexpected. It's a good mark of a leader to take surprises in stride. You'll find there's little I do that does not have a valid reason." He turned to Dresden with a smirk and nodded, figuring he's need to see her later. Jackdaw on the other hand caught his eye simply because of the various ports on her body. Needless to say he thought about tinkering with her body a bit to see what modifications he could make. When he was given directions he raised his wrist and smirked, a map of the ship on the display. "Oh dont worry, already looked at the schematics and constructed a map on my bracer. I never go out on assignment without doing my due research. To be honest, this baby's got one of the most advanced computers in the Alliance. That alone got my full attention. Anyway, I'll be sure to dress nice for the formal occasions. Otherwise I'll be wearing what gets the job done quickly, efficiently, and correctly."

He moved into the ship and dropped off his bags at his bunk, tossing the tourist getup in favor for his actual clothing. He donned a pair of long black cargo pants and utility boots, a vest with multiple pockets and panels lining it with his hacking goodies. On each wrist was a dual processing wrist computer which he kept on him for hacking jobs and fingerless gloves to give him a good grip without sacrificing his dexterity. Of course, he had to put on his uniform over his attire, the stuffy jacket seeming redundant and useless for the most part. He soon came out with is official regalia on, moving toward the two girls. "Ah, pleasure to meet you two. Dresden and Jackdaw if I'm not mistaken." He offered a hand to shake to the two of them, figuring Jackdaw would refuse on the fly with Dresden shaking it.
Rennac smirked as he walked into the hanger with his order of transfer to the Argent Dawn in his front coat pocket and two large suitcases in his hands. Overall he was dressed like a common tourist, with a gawky hawaiian style shirt and cargo shorts with sunglasses and a sun hat. Two sandals adorned his feet as he walked around with a map in hand. To most of the people there they figured him as just some lost tourist who ended up in a military hanger. Several though knew the wolfen by reputation and rolled their eyes before chuckling at his antics. He soon made his way up to the captain and smiled. "Oh, hello there sir. Was wondering if I could get some directions. I'm looking for gate uhh, I think M-238: Direct flight to the outer rim colonies." Directly above them was a large sign signifying that he was already at the right place, wondering if he had even gotten a bemused smirk out of his new CO. Still, this was his first posting on a ship since his last string of ops before having to overhaul the security grid for the Alliance.
heheh, sure thing
