Sorry if you're already doing any of the below suggestions haha, but I thought I'd help contribute too. :) Sorry for the incoming essay lol.

It helps having an end-game plan in mind when GMing I'd think, i.e. somewhat of a clear direction with where you wanna go in the end and a general path you wanna go in. (I've seen a lot of people just start up RPs because they've got a really cool idea to go with - then they lose direction after getting passed the introductory stage.) At the same time, having enough leeway that everyone can experiment and pitch in in the middle helps to keep you the GM interested as well. I've not solo-GMed before because I'm between too picky and too nice, so it would not end well at all lol, but before my friends introduced me to group RPing I always did 1x1 and contributed to the world/setup/plot etc. equally with another person. (What Wizard said too about leaving an idea then going back to it later is good too!)

As mentioned earlier, communication is key too (HeySuess and Dervish make really good points there). So while you have a direction and some basics of a world/setting setup, pushing or insisting for others to contribute their own things keeps things interesting as well. I can't stand RPing with people who do nothing but just react to what the GM's done rather than help push forward with the plot/setting/interactions/whatever. The GM in another RP I'm in also spends some chapters co-GMing with one of his players at a time, so it not only gives the GM a bit of a break regarding always having to come up with new ideas, but it keeps the players themselves chipper and feeling like they have a legitimate role in the RP as well.

The OOC doesn't even have to be about the RP itself; it gets exhausting if it's the only thing on your mind. Just have a group of friendly people to actually have some conversations with between posts. Some nonsense about what music everyone's listening to or what game everyone's been playing lately... starting some tv-show thing where everyone watches like two eps of a series a week. Stuff like that :)

Sometimes the blame for the boredom also falls on your partner/s too, not because you're actually bored with your own idea though it seems like it. Which is again why I said I'd be terribad at GMing because I don't have the guts to tell someone to either act up or buzz off when I'm frustrated with like other GMs I know can. XD; If you ever start another RP you're gonna GM, you could also snoop around your players' activity level (if they're not new) to see if they're chatty on other OOCs or whatever. So you have an idea of what to expect from them too? idk. That sounds a bit stalkerish lol, but it's saved my hide a few times.

Hope something here helps :)

(Also sorry, was snoopin around the BL3 thread during my break and thought I'd comment on this thread too. :P)
AYY I had the i in my mind but typed e instead. XD That counts, ehh? Just for that though, we should have a running gag where everyone gets his name wrong all the time. :P hahahah

Thank you though! I really appreciate the feedback from you guys haha. And yeah I also think it'll be killer. Can't wait to finally wrap up this quarter with classes too. I'm taking it easy next quarter for once, so I have more time and effort to spend on RPing. Just wanted to snag a spot in this one before I missed my chance ;A; lmao
It's cool, don't worry about it @ grenades. I was being stingy and wanted to hog all the slag to myself hahaha, which is unfair. You should keep it, actually, since it'll benefit Grendel a lot imo. Baltimore's main weapon of choice is slag anyway, so I think a Tesla might help her divvy things up a bit more. XD;

If you're still looking for the name of the fire-fountain Vladof grenade though, did you mean Breath of Terramorphus (child grenades that spout flame geysers) or the Fire Bee (circular motion flamey things)?

And I'm really glad you approve of what I've got for Baltimore! Thanks :D Honestly can't wait to see how you finish fleshing out Grendel too. She has a lot of potential! (Same thing with Moriker, Tunks!)
Whew! Just finished with Baltimore's upgrades. Hope ya guys like em!

And yeah I'll wait for Gisk to mention the ideal posting size per player too. Iirc the posting frequency doesn't look like it'll be super active (i.e. not one post daily like another RP I'm in lol, in which everyone generally posts three paragraphs to two pages' worth of text), so that might affect whether Gisk wants post size to be bigger or smaller.

Gonna go wrap up an essay in the meantime orz

Los Paraisos: The Pellagio - Casino

Trixie jumped as Don and his crew arrived, returning Syed's greeting with an abrupt hug. "Heeey! You guys made it, awesome!" She pouted playfully at him and the others the moment a parade was mentioned, and spoke as she returned her attention back to the roulette table. "A parade!? What, that's so much cooler than a water park. Pffft! I bet Amy just sat down and watched or something."

Colors and numbers were being shot out left and right. It was great that the dealer let her join in on the fun, although she truly had no idea what any of this meant, or why she wouldn't be allowed to be there on her own. She was just amused from all the loud shiny things all throughout the golden palace. It was like a playplace for adults with money.

As others made their bets following Moira's call, Selan spoke up from behind the prankster, this time with an offer as opposed to pulling her away again. "Trixie, bet for me, will you? Choose whatever you like."

"Ehh!? Uhhh." She held her hands out before her, staring quizzically at her palms as she bent her fingers one by one. "... one, two three........ 07... Blue? No wait I want the same color as Sparky. 07 Red. ... This is how you bet, right? I have no idea what's going on."

Amy meanwhile had totally wandered off on her own while Don and the others moved onto a new game. The temptation was too great.

Cling. Clunk clunk clunk. Brrrrrrr.

"Just... one... more..."
Thanks for the good luck, guys <3

lmao that helmet pic would've worked wonders for Trixie during her helmet-wearing chapters! Hahaha

I've heard nothing about an incoming tornado (& that better be just a rumor lol), but Tae we'll be getting your crazy weather shenanigans next, starting either today or tomorrow. B( Uncool. Still though I hope things clear up for you well enough, especially the thunderstorms & all. :/

Gonna go ahead & pop up an IC; it'll probably be ridiculously short since I need to wrap up my assignments this morning so I can go back to sleep. XD Have a good day & good luck with everything, everyone! (EDIT: Holy cow that only took 23 minutes! *SSB voice* A neeeeeew record!)
You too Pacman, & everyone else! Tonight's gonna be another long one, since my mum's forcing me to complete an entire scholarship application/essay that's due tomorrow, talk about last minute orz. Coffee maker's just waiting for me lmao. I might post something small during a break so I can sleep in tomorrow before class haha, so I'll update here if that happens to be the case. (Wouldn't bet on it though because lol me posting at night.) If not, I'm deffo posting in the morning as per usual. :]

End of February's just around the corner... >.< Not sure whether to be "yay new month means probably less stress!" or "how is 2014 already almost a quarter completed" lol

Welp I'm off my break now. I'll be back in 3-4 hours if I'm still awake (& alive) @.@
Sobbb @ Grendel taking the singularity slag grenade. I called it twice already ;A; But nah it's cool. I'll give Baltimore a tesla grenade instead. I'm a total piece of poo, just ignore that hahaha. I'm sticking with a Tesla for Baltimore though. :)

Also Strange I can't think of anything kickass to add onto Grendel unfortunately, since pretty much anything I could think of you already have up. Unless you wanted to add more stat attributes, e.g. sacrificing more of her sanity or accuracy for speed or power. But that on its own is kinda lame compared to other possibilities. <___> I think what you've got down for her looks pretty sweet so far though!

I've updated Baltimore's CS as well. I'm still mulling over what else to give her, so I'll wrap up everything else tomorrow after work. Though if anyone else has any thoughts or ideas to what else she could do, feel free to shout out!
Whoa dude congrats on getting married!

I'd love if Baltimore could have a Booster Shield and a Longbow Slag Singularity grenade, for extra equipment. I'll have something up for level up bonuses by tomorrow night :)

Amy nearly dropped her mug the first time Moira let out a howl, but then she slammed the table and shouted even more. Luckily her beer was already finished when the mug came shattering on the floor, otherwise Don would probably have two angry woman right behind his back. "Holy fuck."

Twitching her lips, Amy casually sidestepped away from the mess and nudged the shoulder of a waitress passing by to alert her about it. Then she looked back to the redhead to catch her chugging her beer effortlessly. Yeesh. Moira wasn't a berserker for nothing. Her outburst practically erupted from nowhere - well, close enough to just that, but Amy couldn't quite tell whether she felt daunted or intrigued. Yeah, she herself would get angry and possibly slap-happy at times, but powerful outbursts like this? Oh, what she could do with that kind of intimidation.

"You have to teach me how to shout like that sometime, Moira." She shot the berserker a wink, not entirely sure whether she was paying attention or not, though that wasn't important.

Amy looked back to Syed and Don, twitching her lips again. Seems like the show-offy pig had already splurged enough of his time and money at a game he obviously didn't understand, judging from the way Dylan cried to them earlier. Granted, Amy understood nothing of it until Moira's easy explanation, but at least she had enough common sense to not embarrass herself like this. Volleyball game aside. Stupid pig.

"Does he even have enough money to try another game?"

She stole a quick glance at some of the machinery and other tables behind her as she made her last statement, pondering about her own expenses. They... they definitely still had two hours left... and she's always wanted play her luck at a casino. At least with slot machines she wouldn't have to look so stupid for not understanding how any of these games work. ... But she would look just as dumb if she wound up like Don and casting away money without winning anything back.

Amy sighed, rolling her eyes as she returned her attention to the game before her, crossing her arms. What do, what do.

Lucien found the duo soon enough as well and was astounded with how disturbingly well the minor was doing. But enough was enough for Trixie, and after some resistance Selan managed to successfully pull the girl from Pandora's Box of gold and loot. And no juice.

Unfortunately, even after they managed to pluck Trixie off the machine for good, one of them had to carry her even further away as her bicycle kicks continued for quite sometime as she was desperate to return - for some odd reason even she couldn't comprehend. The kicks made a good enough bumper to scare people out of the way while they escaped the devil's machine, at the very least, and it wasn't until a small walk later that she finally ran out of juice and stopped kicking.

She plopped to the ground and made a deep sigh. "Well. That was weird. Gotta show that to Amy sometime." She turned to Lucien, pouting playfully at him. "It actually didn't have any drinks... either that or I was doin' it wrong. I mean they had cherry juice in there somewhere, I was so sure they'd have apple juice and some of that bubbly stuff you like too!

"Anyway, yeah Miss Pretty. I'm really thirsty and some apple juice would be--oh, oh butterballs, guys look! A spinning ball!"

Her winnings from the slot machine jingled loudly in her belt pouches as she took off again, this time towards a roulette table. With grabby hands.
