Thaum: The Azure Sea

Despite the friendly demeanor Dr. Dream exuded, Trixie maintained her distance from him every second they were together. She trusted the label "scientist" much less than any other "bad guy" - especially after crossing paths with the old man in Vandrell just months ago. Amy was well aware of this inherent dislike, but so long as she made no fusses about it, the cleric merely turned the blind eye.

Dr. Dream was a rather enthusiastic man, which Amy found more tiring than anything else, but it was doable. Especially since he so kindly paid to have them fed at one of the fanciest five-star restaurants the woman had ever seen - and of course Isaac was the damn cutest thing she had seen in a while aside from Kapi. Though her smile wiped away once a man named Atlas had greeted them. She rolled her eyes with a snarl as Atlas gave a playful wink.

Once inside the restaurant, Trixie took to gazing at the marine animals with awe, mashing and dragging her face along the glass walls similarly to her hero Superbro. Lucien called her over to observe a blob-like fish, and as Trixie ran over to see it, she nearly knocked the summoner off-kilter to grab a better view. "Whoooaaaaaa. What is that thing?" Amy in the meantime eyed the marine life from afar to chat with Moira instead.

Only when everyone was called to dine in together did Trixie pry her face away from the windows of oceanic wonder. The prankster found herself enthused with Xandra's and the doctor's brief explanation about the missing persons and the latter's offer for the Pride; her lips mouthed a piqued "ooh" as they spoke, as if they were just telling a scary story. Amy on the other hand found herself mildly uncomfortable with the situation of it all (a madman manipulating an emotion-consuming demon was nothing to take lightly) and consumed her food silently as the others commented.

In the midst of it all, a newcomer entered the building and half-greeted the folks gathered at the table before turning his attention to the pink blobfish and... shouting to himself? Not to mention the familiar trumpeting music (which caused Amy to redden immediately, though her marriage ring from Los Paraisos was long gone - retrieved and stored in one of Trixie's pouches after being thrown away). Considering the Pride and company, plus the servers and this newcomer, were the only people inside the building, Lute's frantic entrance was definitely startling the say the least.

"Who's he talking to...?" Lisette whispered to Trixie next to her in a hushed voice.

Trixie tilted her head at this phenomenon. "I, huh, I dunno. Oh! Wait, I think he's talking to the fish. Hang on a second." While Atlas and Dr. Dream welcomed the man to their group, as this appeared to be the Lute, guy they were talking about, Trixie took to jumping atop her chair anyway. She hollered at the approaching man with hands cupped around her mouth, she jumped atop her chair and hollered at the man. "Hey! Hey Mister! What are you and the fishy talking about? Is he okay? Oh wait, is she a girl? Is she sad cuz she's gonna get eaten soon? ... ..."

Amy shook her head solemnly at Trixie's antics, before yanking her down from her seat and continuing to sip her soup in silence. It wasn't long before the doctor resumed his explanation of his offer, before detailing what else Thaum had to offer. She shrugged with the doctor's final remark and left any acceptance speeches fall on Estelle's shoulder.

Meanwhile Lucien had slid his blobfish meal to Lute. Trixie leaned over the table to catch a better look at the newcomer, her lips repursed into an "o" shape. "What does she say now?"
Morning guyssss! Gonna read up and write a post now. :>
Hi guys, today's been super busy from the minute I woke up. Work + credit card/bank blah blahs + class in a bit; won't be home til well after 10pm and I've still got homework to do tonight, fhsdkjghd. x__x Haven't even gotten the chance to read anything yet. :(

Apologies for the no-post today;;;. I'm definitely posting in the morning tomorrow, though that might mean missing a round depending on how much earlier Fox posts than I do. XD; By all means don't wait for me to post though, I'll be able to catch Amy and Trixie up just fine. ^^

Just as Angel examined his newly formed mug of beer in one hand, with his strangeass die in the other, he heard a door opening and something shuffling just outside of the kitchen. He ran out to meet the other two Sinners, only to freeze in his tracks. A monstrous silhouette stood right before them.

"What. The fuck."

Yeah. Yeah this was definitely a dream, a hallucination. Angel's lightheadedness and everyone else acting like nutcases only helped to reaffirm that thought. This - this couldn't be real, could it? The beer that had materialized tasted real as ever, as with the merciless pounding headache. After his teammates threw some fits, now some shadow monster was invading their HQ? Just what the hell was going on here?

Angel watched in silence as the blackened figure approached the other two teammates, hoping he'd have time to think of a plan. To - to strike? To flash some lights on it? To vacuum it? To shield themselves and drive it back?? God, what was there to--

His thoughts were cut short. The second it reached out for Sam and Harry, Angel intervened on impulse - by chucking his beer mug and completely missing the target. Once it turned to face Angel, he held his breath and flung his die at it as well. Immediately the being shifted the shape of its arm into a blade to knock the die aside - though it landed to the floor, unscathed.

Six.

Suddenly black aura encased the arms of the three Sinners and materialized into the shape of a large and sturdy, but extremely lightweight spiked shield. The shapes solidified themselves, taking in solid colors and textures before finalizing their forms. Meantime the glass shards and spilled beer disintegrated into thin, black vapor, and wafted away into nothingness.

Angel looked to his arm before looking back to the shadowed being. His faceless mask would shield the worry on his face if there was any to begin with, as Angel was a man who simply did not worry even with oddities like this. "Who are you - why are you here - and, uh. Stay back! Before we spike you to death. Uhh... Sam, Harry...?"

Los Paraisos: Mercy Hospital : Recovery Ward

As everyone shuffled into Don's room following Josette's screams, Trixie wrapped her arms around Amy's waist and followed in the others last. "He's okay, he's okay," she murmured to herself, choking on her brewing tears.

And then music. Music rang through the speakers, led by powerful vocals. Before Trixie could even gather herself, Dylan embraced her tightly, all too tightly. “What did I say? Didn’t I say it? SUPERBROS NEVER DIE!!!!"

Her smile widened. Trixie wanted to sing along, whether with Don's words or Dylan's call, but she was... she was stunned. This man - Don - Sylvester Capuello - oh omelets, he was the epitome of superhero! Taking stabs to the chest, then belching out a song in victory! The second Dylan released his hold on the girl, she crumpled to the floor, eyes hypnotized by the show in the window. "Superbro... he's... he's...!"

From afar Don pointed straight at their window, straight at the Pride... and straight at Selan.

And in the end on dreams we will depend
'Cause that's what love is made of

"AHHH! LOVE! THE POWER OF LOVE!" That was the superhero formula for victory. That's what keeps them alive. That's what keeps superheroes like Don coming back! Super + hero = love! Oh, wait, that wasn't... uhhh. Whatever!

"LOOOOVE!" Trixie whipped out her one soggy, bitten uzi and began firing off rounds to the ceiling.

Amy could only stare at the window with profound disbelief; there was no telling whether she was locked in sheer surprise or disgust. Her fist clenched by her side as she brought a palm to her face, and began to chuckle. The dumb pig... of course he had gotten through the trauma. Of course. He was the most unpredictable motherfucker she had ever met. How dare he worry them like that!

She departed the room, away from the chaos and Trixie's rampant gunshots, so she could... she could... lean back on a wall just outside the door, letting out a large sigh of relief. This was - unbelievable, and Amy had no clue what to make of it. Never mind the fact that he was still alive after all that, but how on Ddaear did he manage to make it all the way down to La Macabaret in his condition? Or unnoticed, of all things!?

Her thoughts were soon interrupted by a voice, a sudden hush from within a low cabinet beside her. Amy ducked down to find a man, bruises and cuts galore, squeezed in the tiny space, huddling his knees close to his chest with one hand and holding a finger to his lips with the other. His dumb baseball cap could pop off the side of his head any second. "Shhh! I'm not here!"

"What the fuck?"

"You don't understand. I've got two people trying to kill me right now - for things I may or may not be entirely responsible for - and I just... whoa wait. What's that?" His eyes lifted to the speakers overhead, as they boomed and rocked with music. This young man, he was quickly enamored by Don's powerful vocals. Eyes as big and teary as Trixie's, he removed his hat and clutched at his heart. "It's... it's beautiful! It's more beautiful than anything I've ever imagined! His voice, it's - it's so smooth! So confident! So crisp! Just like the Singing Hot Mama from last night." He sighed deeply.

"They've, they've moved me. Oh, man I can see it now - bright lights and flashing signs...! I swear to you sexy lady, I swear. I'll become just as big of a rock star one day and..."

With another sigh, Amy merely nudged the door shut with her foot and leaned back against the wall. She continued to watch outside the open window from just outside the ward.
Okay cool |D. Enjoy your weekend too, Tae! Everyone else as well haha!
