Hoo hoo Pacman, what's this about a hint I hear

Sorry if my posts have been quite lengthy as well. I spoke with Pacman about ending hers early (today), so her lengths was to help with the pacing as well haha. ^^; I hope they've been enjoyable at least! And I've really, really been enjoying the posts here. You never realize how much you care about fictional characters until you find yourself actually waking up to your alarm on time the last few days just so you can read up the ICs. XD Hah!
Frozen was ehhh, I felt like the ending was a copout. :c I think I am losing my heart for Disney movies... ahh! But I'll always have a soft spot for my 90s-00s favorites, at least. I did enoy how Frozen picked on Disney tropes though. XD Also, have you guys seen that trailer for Frozen as a horror movie? Given the Ice Queen's theme, I think I would have been much more enamored with a... fantasy horror genre for that movie... I used to be all over fantasy-horror when I was younger, come to think of it.

Brave isn't available for rent until June though unfortunately... /mumble grumble.

No rush for Bella posting either, haha. :) I also want to see a response from Ingrid to Crispin though, but I'll post tomorrow night to help keep things moving if she's unable to post by then. I'm working tonight until after 10pm (just got out of class), so I honestly wouldn't mind waiting another day for her at this rate hahaha!

Also Raptor, I think Iona's outfit is brilliant as well. Orchids are my favorite flowers <3

Angel spat out his vodka as Cerulean managed to land an attack on Mia - not just any attack, but one that drew blood. "Hoo! That was something. You guys saw that, right?" He eyed his two bystander teammates, though Bushi looked much too absorbed in the battle to even hear the harpy.

Once Mia began her transformation, Angel chugged down the remainder of his vodka like it was popcorn. Seeing as he had fought alongside Mia for sometime, he was well aware of her ability to control her transformation. Watching Cerulean mildly panic (and Bushi nearly wetting himself at wanting to intervene) was more so comedic to him than anything. The harpy let out a hearty laugh, right as Mia ended the skirmish with a congratulatory pat on the back.

As Bushi congratulated the siren, Angel approached Mia, smiling coolly with a thumbs up. "Mia, you're good, right?" Naturally he was inclined to offer assistance whenever a teammate was hurt, as he had a rather unconventional means of 'healing' injuries. But Mia's own ability covered rejuvenation, so his question was more so out of habit than anything. "That was some spar. I think we found ourselves a winner here."

Angel listened in as Cerulean rejoiced, almost stuttering in his response to the kami. The moment the siren ended his response, Angel patted him on the back, rather roughly. "A prince who wants to help more than his own hide, and can put up a fight? Hah! The royals back at home could learn a thing or two from you." He beamed at the siren, as if he were a proud older brother. "Glad to have you on the team, new kid."

There was a click. Another man rose from the ground into view, pushing his spectacles up his nose with one hand, and held his own red gem to the side with another. “Hello, my dear Amy. Do you remember me?”

“Of course I remember you, Jack,” she snarled, jerking her head away from him. “I remember all of you fuckers.”

The man wagged a finger, pursing his lips. “Tut, tut. That language of yours will get yourself hurt someday.” He then knelt down to her level beside her, staring her in the eyes. “Now look at what you’ve got yourself into…”

She raised her hand, poised to smack him right across that bastardly face of his – only to find it forced down to the ground, pressured into place. Horror washed over her face as she turned to the hands causing it. “Even you, Marcus? Largo?” They smiled back to her as she named them. With their hands over her arms, both wore her gem like a stringed necklace.

Shuddering, Amy lifted her eyes. Amidst the sea of familiar faces, all of whom she could name, she could recognize… her own teammates as well. Syed, Don, Dylan, Lucien. Behind them – Trent, Julius, Tobi, Nero, even those pigs Cole and Thunderhawk. Lute and Atlas snickering and pointing at the fallen cleric together. Don’s 20 brothers scattered throughout. Each was in possession of a red gem.

“Such a hateful, hateful woman,” Jack resumed, examining the jewel in his hand. A black wisp of smoke danced around inside it. “How can you expect to do good when you yourself cannot let go of hate?” Turning back to Amy, he reached forward and cupped his hand under her chin, squeezing her cheeks with his fingers. “Just let go, my dear. Give in. This is the way the world—”

Jack pulled back, his face dripping with Amy’s spit.

“Fuck. You.”

The two had resumed their play, exchanging who was pursuing the other in a nonstop game of tag. Their laughter filled the forest as trees swayed in their midst, birds singing amongst their running. It was only when Trixie bumped into the one she played with that the game finally came to a stop. “Huh? What’s wrong?”

“Trixie… look.”

Before them lied a long, white table. Beside it was a metallic stand, topped with a tray holding various utensils: scissors, forceps, clamps. Trixie backed away from the sight only to bump into a mechanical console behind her. With a gasp, she lurched forward and clung onto the silhouetted figure, her arms wrapped around its stomach. “I… I’m scared…”

Breathing steadily, the figure glanced around its surroundings. Behind them their previous path had also become encumbered with these… things. The figure shook its head. Locking its ‘eyes’ (where they should be) with Trixie’s, it slowly eased her off of its stomach and linked its arm with hers. “Stay close. I’ll get us out of here.”

Deeper and deeper the two pressed into the forest, the frequency of these unnatural things occurring rising and rising. Patches of dirt and grass hardened into marble flooring. Overhead branches converted into wires and security cameras – shades of blue, black, and grey. Tree trunks morphed into more incubation pods. Sunlight no longer bore through the treetops, as a ceiling soon replaced the very skies, slowly darkening the environment with every step.

It was not long before the forest had finished modifying itself. Now surrounded not by the cricks and cracks of dead leaves beneath their feet, but by mechanical whirs and churrs of self-operating machinery, Trixie and the shadowed figure ceased running once they realized just what they had fled into – an old laboratory.

Trixie clung onto the figure’s arm tightly, only for it to embrace her again, shorter this time. She couldn’t even form words, only wheezing and whimpering. The shadowed figure caught onto this and calmly held her shoulders. “Don’t worry, Trixie. We’ve escaped this danger before; we can do it again.”

“But… but Amy’s not…”

The figure sighed lightly, leaning its head to one side. “I’m a superhero, remember?” Its arms extended again. “I can carry you, if you like…”

Trixie sniveled with a smile, shaking her head as she ran a finger below her nostril. “Know what? You may not be the Wonderboy, but you’re my—” Her sentence was cut short with a yelp; the entire building began to rattle. The figure slid its palm into Trixie's own, holding her hand as they charged further into the depths of the makeshift laboratory.

They had to escape.
Hoo boy, another round of heartbreak. Thanks, buttholes. :> I really love how crazy unique everyone's is. Tae is right, they're super inspiring haha! My kokoro can't take these feels so early in the morning though, how dare all of you. :C

Mm I was waiting a bit to see if anyone else was going to post today before posting (since mine was the last one before DancePants'). Just noticed that Raptor got something up, so yay! :) I'll be sure to get something up sometime tomorrow, probably after work.

Syed stepped aside, allowing Amy full view of her room, which had converted to blinding white emptiness. “Don’t worry, Amy. It’s not like you can run.” He stepped forward. She stepped back – hitting the balcony behind her. Shady figures crowded the ground floor, as if waiting for her to jump onto them, while the figures towards both her left and right were encroaching still. Syed, however, did not wait for another reaction before reaching forward and gripping her wrist. “You’ll be fine!”

He flung her inside. As she passed him by, she caught sight of the red gem he was hiding behind his back, before flopping forward entirely – though not hitting the ground. Instead she was caught in safe and reassuring arms.

“Clericsis!” the savior gasped. “You need to be more careful! I mean, if I wasn’t here, you would have just…!”

Amy dropped to the floor. With a slight groan of pain she pushed herself up with her hands. A group of males from behind her pseudo-savior burst into a round of laughter, though they calmed down as one spoke up above the others. “Hey, hey, I have another joke. How many Amies does it take to change a light bulb?”

Amy yelped as she was suddenly thrown back – the jokester had approached her and knocked her onto her back by a shoe to her face. He put on a dopey grin. “None, because she’s totally useless!”

Once again the white room filled with laughter. Amy backed away – she tried to back away – but she found her legs immobile. Numb? No, big and burly hands had broken from the ‘ground’ below and gripped tightly onto her thighs, forcing her legs in place.

As Trixie began chasing after the darkened figure, it turned around and began to flee. “Let’s play, Trixie!”

“Wait, wait, you just got back and now you’re running away again!? Oh come on, lemme at least hug you fi~rst!” Trixie pursued the figure further down the meadow, finally reaching its outskirts and diving into the forest that walled it. Heaps and heaps of trees cut off the distance between the two, and soon enough, Trixie had lost sight of who she was chasing. She slowed to a stop and began to wheeze. “Come back!”

Seconds later, the prankster found herself tackled to the ground. Upon landing on her stomach, she buried her face in the dirt beneath her, before plucking it back up and resting it on her hands, a mischievous smile on her face. The shadowy figure’s head leaned over to meet her eyes. “Got you!”

It removed itself from her body. When it noticed she wasn’t rising, the figure then knelt down and offered her a hand. She did not accept it. “Trixie?” The figure reached forward and brushed its fingers lovingly along her chin. “Trixie, you’re crying…”

“I was,” she hiccupped, looking away, “I was so scared that—that you… that we wouldn’t ever… Amy said that you…”

“Shhh, Trixie, it’s okay.” The figure helped sit Trixie up as it spoke, embracing her warmly once she was seated atop her knees. “I’m here. I’m here now. Shhh, it’s okay…”
Oh man @ Lisette and Lucien. You guys using cameos too? This chapter is gonna hurt everyone to see their own characters being warped like this. It's like... it's like double the nightmares, maaaan.

Seriously though, I'm really really enjoying this chapter. Not because I'm one of those my-OCs-must-suffer-bwahaha folks, but you can tell you've found a really good RPing group when you actually love and care about the other RPers' characters to the point where they're not even interacting with anyone and you still wanna see what's going on with them/their backdrops. ^^ This is great.

Gonna start on my post~
Edited something more to Amy's post actually, because I was unsatisfied with the original. Had rewritten it three times orz. Sorry for the add-on haha!

And yeah I'm already curdling from seeing these posts omggg. My heart is going to shatter over and over again this chapter you guys stAHP

“Ugh… my head…” Amy rolled over in her mattress, laying splayed atop her mattress. She too had been awoken from the harsh sunlight creeping into room and warming her skin. Sitting up, Amy realized she was laying atop her bed fully dressed in her favorite red dress, atop the well-kept blankets. With how groggy her head was, she could only make one logical assumption: “Must’ve drunken too much last night…”

She lolled her head, gazing at the half-shut blinds as she mulled things over. “Some dream though… I—wait, my gem!” Realizing her hands were empty, Amy jumped off her mattress, nearly tipping over. “Where did it…!” Amy searched all around her person, only to realize she was without both her staff and accommodating clutch. She rummaged through the contents of the room – the floors, the drawers, the closet. But it was gone – and not only that, but Trixie was missing as well. “Trixie?” The girl tended to run off on her own in the mornings, and she always came back without a scratch. But today was – it was different. Amy couldn’t sense the prankster at all. And yet she was… was this… surely it didn’t mean…

Stepping out of her room, she could see the guild she had awoken in was void of any liveliness as well; not even Marise stood where she typically would. However, a loud gulp sounded off from towards the bar – the guild was not entirely empty. From the height Amy stood at, she could easily see a man seated by himself there, finishing off a glass of alcohol. Her gem sat beside his hands at the countertop. Amy only managed a gulp as the man turned his head to see her, smirking at her. “It’s good to see you again, Amaranth…”

She stepped back, flinching as she heard footsteps coming off from her left side. Up the footsteps came another man, tall and dressed smartly. And in his hand was… her gem? “Yes, yes, it’s been far too long, hmm?” Another male figure began approaching from the other side as well, snickering as he flicked his own gem into the air and caught it.

Amy grit her teeth, turning to go into her room but was immediately stopped by another man standing in her path. This one waved at her brightly with one hand, his other hand behind his back. “Hi Amy! Where are you going?”

She backed away from him. “Syed?”

???

Trixie dashed all around the open meadow, her brilliant purple cape catching the winds behind her. It billowed lively with every step, every leap, every roll, and every twirl the girl performed. She danced and danced along the field, and the menagerie of flowers below her swayed along with her.

“Wondergirl Trixie, at your service!” she announced to the air, ending her trot with a high jump and a land as gentle as a cat. She feigned a gasp, bringing her hands to her cheeks as she spoke to the air. “What! You my poor citizen, are in danger!? Fear not! For I, the Wondergirl, can save you!” She struck a gallant pose – “Dun da-da-daaa!” – and continued her routine of running around, making “whoosh” noises as she went, kicking the air with “pah!”s and headbutting beside her with “bam!”s and karate chopping behind her like “wha-chyooowwww!”

Trixie stopped, cupping a hand around her ear as her lips moved to the side. “Oh no,” she said, squeaking. “Someone save my baby!” Then she struck another pose, resuming her regular tone. “Don’t worry, lady! I’ll save him!” With a dynamic twirl, Trixie ran off. The meadow was endless, booming with bright colors, singing birds, pleasant winds, and warm sunshine. She could run for hours without ever seeing it come to an end.

But she came to a jolting stop.

A lone figure stood in her path: a silhouette completely surmounted in shadow. It stood meters away, though in the light of Trixie’s wide and open path, its very shape was instantly recognizable.

“You… but… I thought you were…”

The silhouette’s arms opened, welcoming, as if awaiting an embrace. “I told you, Trixie. Superheroes never die.”

The prankster’s entire body trembled. Her lips quivered madly, and her eyelids she could barely keep open before mounts of tears began to flood her eyes. They trickled down her cheeks for only a second before Trixie burst forward, arms outstretched before her, sprinting as fast as she could towards the figure. “You came back! You came back!!”

Her cape fell loose from her shoulders and floated away with the calm breeze behind her.
