Can my character double as a fence? Or should the fence be a new character completely?

I was actually thinking of making a post to pick someone up, but I couldn't think of anyone that would make sense. I was thinking maybe I would pick up eemmtt, and have my character hire him to be a decoy and nothing more, because that would give eemmtt a chance to prove he can hold his own against magic and stuff, but he said in his post that paladins "barely tolerate us". Also, with Zanders intense hatred towards mages, if he had pickup a mage, it could only end in a battle. Which I don't think would be good this early. Maybe a battle with an NPC, but not a character.

I usually don't have IC partners for long durations, so I was thinking of spicing it up. I'm still trying to think of a way to meet up with someone though.

Btw, I love how Count Eternus has connections with both mages and paladins, at first i thought, Double Agent. But then, i thought, Triple Agent. and now, I'm jut not sure.

Sorry this took my so long to put up, had a lot on my plate recently. But, here it is.

Jarret Flower

Name: Jarret Flower

Age: 23

Appearance/Description:

Personality: Jarret is that one guy who is just full of himself. He is conceited, self-righteous and only thinks about himself (unless on a job). If you gave him the chance he would talk your ear off, only going on about how "great" he is. On a bad day, you might see him compliment somebody other than himself, this is not common, but not unheard of. Jarret puts on a new persona almost every time he interacts with a target on the job, or even a client sometimes.

Preferred Weapon(s): Jarret likes to use throwing knives

Abilities and Specialties: Jarret's specialty is lock picking.

Bio: Jarret was the "Goody two shoes" in his group of friends. The friends in his social circle had always made fun of Jarret for not kicking the chicken, or sneaking into the old tavern in the middle of town. Jarret did none of that. But, he had thought about it multiple times. Jarret and his friends had passed by a fruits stand in town one day, and the gang decided to take the apple pie that was on display. Of course, Jarret was the first one nominated to take the pie, but this time he didn't say no. He'd gone over scenarios like this in his head before, but this was the only time he'd given in.

Jarret crept up behind the stand keeper, as silent as a cat in the night, ready for anything at this point. He looked around for her supplies. They sat on barrels behind her, stuffed to the top with apples, pears and various berries. Jarret pulled on the top of the barrel that sat behind the lady and toppled it over with no effort. The noise echoed a little before the clerk turned to see the knocked over barrel, and her fruit quickly skipping away. As the fruit saleswomen pivoted to look, Jarret snuck in her blind spot, until he was inches away form the pie. He grabbed it and ran, he ran faster than ever before. With all the adrenaline flowing through his body, he forgot where his friends were hiding and ran past them. He ended up running to an abandoned house just on the edge of the forest.

Jarret threw the pie, he didn't even want it in the first place. He was just wanted to feel the rush all his friends got when the stole, he finally knew why it was so fun to them. After that day, Jarret always stood up to bat when it came to stealing. But soon, his friends lost interest in stuff like that and they moved on, but Jarret didn't. Jarret did it even more when he stopped hanging out whit his friends, and going for years at a time without getting caught made Jarret feel like a professional. Jarret found his passion for picking locks when a safe at a manor in the rich part of town was locked and Jarret had to use his recourses to break it, this included a butter knife and a pin.

Other info: Jarret dislikes anybody who brags about themselves other than him.

Zander was in the middle of searching for a notorious mage that was rumored to be a powerful wielder of a type of summoning magic. After a courier had handed him a small parcel containing a request letter from his covenant leader, he changed course and marched off to Meldiniar capitol, Liria. He was standing in the line-up of paladins who were waiting to have their citizenship papers acknowledged and confirmed, waiting to enter this magnificently built city. Zanders legs ached from the long journey here, because he hadn't the money to buy or rent a horse. He felt like collapsing, but he thought if he did, other paladins would think he was to nervous or scared. That clearly wasn't the case, but Zander didn't want to be viewed that way. As sized up most of the paladins in their glistening armor. Rude comments that he thought had transformed into rude comments that he spoke. Paladns and citizens alike turned to see Zander in his silver plated armor, talking to himself, unaware he was insulting those very people.

"Pathetic...Useless....Is he even a paladin?" these words flowed out of his mouth without him even having a second thought.

"Sir, you could at least be more respectful to these fine men. They're here because they were sent here by their higher ups." A mans voice echoed from behind Zander, making himself something of a target for Zander. Zander had glanced behind him, his face had some battle years on it, making him look older than he actually was, and in turn, a tad bit more intimidating. He give the people behind him the stink-eye, because he didn't exactly know who was talking to him. The line was being held up by something or someone, he tried looking past off the men and carriages by he just couldn't see. He was getting irritated. Someone must have fumbled their papers, or some must've been got rejected of entry. Whatever it may be, Zander didn't like it.

"Move it or lose it!" He shouted towards the front, no thought anything of it, probably because most of the men around him were thinking the same thing. The line started to move again, quite quickly now, so Zander kept his mouth shout until h reached the checkpoint. 10 or so minutes had flown by as he waited, finally reaching the officer who would confirm his citizenship papers and allow him entry.

The outiside of the walls of Liria did the capitol no justice, for a bitter soul like Zander had to double take everything that he saw. The sun light of beamed down perfectly on the tall building just beyond the square, giving it a nice glowing feeling. The birds chirped inside the walls much louder than outside and the people of this city as well. Noise was buzzing all around while stands selling bread and assorted goods dotted the streets leading to the square. Zander was amazed, he was in awe. He snapped out of his illusive trance after somebody bumped into him. Zander's face scrunched into a ball and he snapped his gaze to the man. "Watch it boy, or I'll have your he-..." Zander paused in mid sentence. The man had kept walking. He didn't glance at Zander, apologize, he didn't even stop to notice him. This angered Zander but there was nothing he could do, so he didn't. Zander marched forward looking at everything as he entered the massive Grande Square.
