You know, I kinda miss the times when we had our creeps pop in with a CS, and everyone just went "O_o;"Like that one dude who's character had all the charm and strengths of the entire current cast, plus was a werewolf. With his own cult. And some dragonborn skillz. Who could single-handedly change the entire plot with a wave of his finger. And the rper was an ass....God I wish I saved that CS. It was a hoot to read. Maybe at some point i'll make a mock CS and recreate it.

Boy, that sounds fun.

Blegh. I'd rather watch/read Higurashi or whatever it's called. All the little arcs are decently good, it feels almost sort of like Ito's stuff. (A little less psychological horror and more just straight-up gore, though.)

Trust me, read it before you watch the anime. The anime only covers a tiny sliver of the manga and leaves off so much that you'll only feel lost when you finish it. The movies are good, but again they're fairly recent and do not cover the full story, only the background of the main characters. Again, I've got to warn you, it can get into some really nasty stuff. If you think Attack on Titan is bad as far as ultraviolence, well...

you haven't seen a guy cut his own arm off to get out of the maw of a demon crushing him while an entire army comprised of his friends gets violently slaughtered, eviscerated and eaten whole by nightmare creatures with human faces. Oh, and the demons are holding him down so he can be forced to watch the love of his life get violently raped by his dearest friend who betrayed him, his girlfriend and their entire army just so he can get a castle of his own. And a demon pokes out the guy's eye. And later on his girlfriend gives birth to a demon fetus baby with teleporting powers, and after being raped by monsters and her dear friend, has gone utterly insane, has forgotten everything about herself, and communicates through vocalizations.

And it gets worse.

The anime leaves off at the shittiest possible point of the manga, though. >:\ I've yet to see the movies but they look totally kickass. Do you read the manga at all?

Trust me, there's better anime out there. It's okay for starters and I hope you really enjoy it and come away with good memories of it! If you like more shounen-oriented anime I suggest watching/reading Berserk (lots of NSFW stuff and heavy violence though, warning you now), Evangelion, or One Piece if you want some more stuff for when you're all caught up on SNK.

As far as shoujo with a little action I'll always fondly remember Revolutionary Girl Utena, Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Card Captor Sakura. (All magical girl anime but I LOVE magical girl anime :p)

Sorry if you don't want anyone's input! Just figured it'd be nice to get a couple ideas of where you might want to check out next. We can always just chat it up a little instead.
